Pines Manor has been updated. Food was good today for an event buffet. Good service and plenty of parking. Good central location.

I was just a guest here but the event space was great. It was organized and the staff was nice.

First time here for me to attend the 33rd Annual Workers Compensation Bench Bar Conference. Pines Manor is in Edison, NJ, somewhat in the center of the state. All these catering halls are pretty much alike. The only things that distinguish them are the quality of the food and excellence of the service. They kept us supplied with nourishment all day (9-3:45), with bagels, danish and coffee early; hoagie buffet at lunch; and more caffeine to keep us awake after many hours of sitting and listening. Not the greatest spread, but ample and more than adequate. Our tables were kept clean and fresh coffee was brewed throughout the day. I had nothing to complain about. On top of that, it was good to see so many of my brothers and sisters of the bar attend after three years without such gatherings due to Covid. We all looked older, and hopefully wiser. Awards were given for exemplary service to our section of the bar and in recognition of outstanding collegiality. Catching up with friends was very satisfying, We all had stories to tell. Hanging out with our judges on an off day also has its benefits in getting to know them better. Educational, too, with updates on legislation, case law, and Long Haul Covid from a well known doctor. One of the most thoughtful get togethers in a long while and well worth our time and travel.

We held the 248th Marine Corps Birthday Ball at The Pines on 4 November benefiting Toys for Tots. This was the first time we held this event and we could not have done this without the help and support of Rose, Jennifer and the entire staff at the Pines. They made it all so easy! We had nothing but rave reviews from the attendees on the food, service and ambiance of the Pines. There was always a member of the staff nearby to address any hiccup. We can't say enough about the service and professionalism of everyone at the Pines! They are awesome! We will be back next year!

The grand ballroom made an impressive first impression, with its tasteful lighting and well-decorated chairs and tables. However, it was noted that the absence of an elevated stage was a missed opportunity, even a modest one-foot platform could have enhanced the visual appeal of the hall. The culinary journey began with a delightful array of appetizers. The spinach fritters, accompanied by yogurt, chutney topping, and a spicy powder, stood out as a true culinary gem. The addition of this spice powder accentuated the flavors and made it a memorable dish. My personal favorite, Vada Pav, was also on the menu, and I couldn't resist enhancing its taste with a sprinkle of the spicy powder. The bar and appetizer service took place outside the hall, and here we encountered a few service hiccups. The bartender was notably absent, which led to a bit of confusion among the guests. However, a friendly waiter came to our rescue and promptly served our drinks when requested. The situation at the bar took an unexpected turn when another bartender, who seemed to be in a pleasant mood at first, began using profanity in a soft tone when asked why he wasn't present. His exact words "Get the fuck out of here" to his own co-worker - ten times in front of all the guests who are waiting in line at the Bar and in front of the guests who are getting their appetizers. This unexpected exchange, while bizarre, didn't overshadow the overall experience but left us a bit bewildered. Moving on to the main course, it was exactly as expected in a Mughal restaurant - rich and creamy, fulfilling the culinary desires of guests. The dessert spread was a highlight of the evening. The Moong Dal Halwa was a standout, leaving a lasting impression with its superb taste. The quality of the Kulfi was exceptional, rounding out the meal on a sweet note. The ambiance was elevated by a dance floor with flashing colorful lights, adding a lively touch to the event. The combination of good music, delectable food, and a pleasing atmosphere contributed to an enjoyable evening. In conclusion, the Sweet 16 party at this venue offered a blend of grandeur, delicious food, and vibrant ambiance. While the service quirks at the bar were unusual, they didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. The standout appetizers, rich main course, and delectable desserts ensured a satisfying culinary journey. The addition of the dance floor and good music added to the overall charm of the event, leaving us with fond memories of a night filled with good food and enjoyable moments.

Their staff is unprofessional, rude and outright disrespectful. There is no coordination among them and you will be left calling them 6-7 times during the event. We had guests who left without eating because they didn't put the lunch out until 1:30 PM for a event that was suppose to end at 2:00 PM. I will not point to any certain individuals but will say the whole experience was regrettable. We selected this event and paid premium because we wanted to have a pleasant experience and a stress-free event, but it was opposite of that. For those who already have signed the contract or are thinking signing one. RE READ everything and get all clarification in writing because the "ok, no problem, don't worry and we will take care of it" will be of no use when things go wrong during the event.

Included in your ticket is roughly 4 hours of good vibes, dancing, socializing, and lots of great food! There was lumpia, pancit, barbecue chicken and bistec. Everything was so delicious!! There is also pizza for the children. It's a family friendly affair! :) When it was time to start some line dances, the instructors were so funny and kind. They were also very encouraging and easily explained the steps. My favorite saying of the night was "there is no missteps, just an accidental solo." And that kind of welcoming and sweet energy is what I loved so much about this studio! The owner, Tiffany Joy was an amazing host and her enthusiasm was infectious. I loved when the lights would turn down and we'd have mini dance parties in between line dances. It was such a fun time! There was also a cute photobooth experience, complete with props to capture the moment! You're able to text the photos to your phone; it was so easy to use. My only wish is that it wasn't so far from where I live - our group made the trek from Brooklyn! But honestly, it was so worth the trip and I can't wait to go back!

Tiffany first came to do a demo at his school and my son asked me to sign him up for the after school program. He has been happy each time we pick him up, and the school sends us videos of him dancing along with Tiffany and his classmates. Earlier this week I was able to take a regular Zumba class led by Tiffany at her studio and it was incredible. Tiffany is warm and energetic, truly a burst of feel good energy. Her studio is clean and calming, with a club/concert vibe in the main Zumba room. Today, I attended by son's last day of Zumba and though the classes are very different, Tiffany shows up genuine, warm and encouraging in both! She finds ways to engage both her adult and children dancers and she does so flawlessly. It was so much fun talking to my son about our Zumba classes, it opened up conversation about Zumba that wasn't there when it was just him taking the classes. One of Tiffany's missions is to connect families and communities and I think she does a great job of executing this task.

He was very communicative--even with the 13 hour time difference, I was able to coordinate with him easily. I had my husband be taken out of the house three hours before the party to set up... the balloon arch was delivered right on time. The photographer showed up half an hour earlier than the party. The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party!
