This is one of my favorite fun Brunch spots. The food and service are excellent. And the drinks are even better. They do offer Bottomless Mimosas and Margaritas for weekend brunch. But I am a fan of trying their themed drinks because they are served in such fun and creative glasses. We always start with the Trio and chips for the table. This week we added Ceviche Mamalon. For entrees we shared Quesabirria Tacos, Mexican Pizza and Ksadilla. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. We added the yummy Bavarian Churros for dessert. For drinks this time we had Bad Azz Bear, Flaming Tiki, Big Purse-anality and my favorite - WTF!!!! Not only are the drinks strong, but the presentation is just such fun. All of the staff are friendly, helpful and energetic. The restaurant is colorful, has TV's and a cute Selfie corner. The good was our server, super friendly and offered great suggestions. My wife is Mexicana (born and raised) and so we always look for good Mexican food. The Birria Tacos are very good and she liked the chorizo as well, the Al Pastor could use some seasoning. The odd part is you are not brought chips, you have to buy them this is so unusual since most Mexican restaurants give them to you. My honest opinion is we will probably not return as it was just not that great! But you may find you like it like others have so try it and give a post. read more

My wife and I had a late weekday lunch at the Pink Agave of Covington and enjoyed it very much. The Pink Agave features Mexican favorites and more. Decor is sort of an art deco chic with a laid back casual ambiance that is fresh and welcoming. Service is friendly and efficient and Javier took excellent care of us. There is a full bar and they feature many specialty drinks. We had lunch special Margaritas, which were excellent. I had two! My wife, a taco aficionado, enjoyed her soft tacos very much, while I departed from the Mexican and enjoyed broiled salmon, Spanish rice, and a very good Caesar salad. Prices were extremely reasonable. We are told that that in the evening, lights are lowered and the music is turned up for more of a club like atmosphere. We will return! read more

The service was very good. Friendly and on top of it. 5 stars for sure. The lighting is quite dark compared to the location in Ponchatoula that we visited. It was difficult to see our food or each other in conversation. Both tweens loved the music that was played. Drinks were delicious. read more

For starters, this place needs its management and ownership team to revamp its menu, including adding prices for each individual item that you may request one or two more of with your meal. Ordering tacos that come with cheese- if you order an additional side of cheese, every other restaurant brings you a side of cheese. This place brings you a pre measured pinch of cheese in a plastic serving cup with lid. And then charges you $1.50 for it, not even telling you about it. Then when you order another set of tacos, you order extras again because it doesn't come but with a pinch already. So they bring you a hand full of these cups of cheese. Still don't tell you that they're charging you $1.50/ea. Until you get the bill and get charged $14.00 for cheese? Not cool! They are not up front about pricing at all. We popped in for Taco Tuesday - 99 cent tacos on the menu! Fair warning, specialty meats are not included, but you can get Birria, it just won't be the grillled-style with queso. Still, the Birria was good, although the Cachete far outshined this representative on the plate! The Cachete was meaty and tender and fatty, like you expect from beef cheek, and oh so tasty. Out of the three, the Carnitas were my least favorite, although I'd be happy eat more right now, with the Cachete as the best of the best. I can't wait for next Tuesday to eat some more! The music was bumping and the place is covered in neon and decorations. The staff is young and friendly and the food was delicious. I hear the Queso Birria tacos are really good, and done up right...can't wait to try them! read more

Tequila!! First time here and recommend everyone trying it out. Cantina vibes, bright colours and good music Love when a restaurant's drinks actually taste like they have a spirit in them, not just a pretty drink. Server was very knowledgeable and knew how to articulate the descriptions without seeing the menu. This was cool because the drink names were not basic. Ex: We got the Tropic Like It's Hot and Cute-Cumber margaritas. Of course we also got Dos Equis in a chilled glass. Food was very good and plenty on the plate. I will give one "meh" and that would be the rice and beans. Now I'm not saying they were not good, just maybe needs a little salt or up the seasoning on them. Otherwise, each dish was perfect. Surprised this place stays open. Ambiance is mediocre. Service though was actually good. Problem was the food... my ice tea was brown, but had no taste of tea. They do not serve chips and salsa unless ordered. The enchilada were tasteless. The rice and beans were 3/5 at best. The quesadilla (beef) was just OK. Nachos were also just OK. This is not a place to go for good Mexican food. Perhaps they serve good cocktails.... We think they live off the overflow from Chimes, because it can't be for the food quality... read more

Visited this place last weekend for lunch. First impression...It's VERY pink. Decor is super cute and fun. Whoever wrote the menu definitely has a great sense of humor. They have a large variety of margaritas and they did not disappoint. Tacos were great. You get to pick your protein on most dishes. The food is good, but if you are a Mexican food aficionado stick to the tacos. I had the enchiladas and instead of the traditional enchilada sauce it was served with queso. It didn't taste bad, just not what I was expecting. Service was good. We had a young guy waiting on us and you could tell he was a little shy but he did a good job. We really like The Pink Agave and will be going back this weekend. read more

Service was good our waiter was very helpful knowing the drinks which helped my wife make a decision. Food came out at a reasonable time 20 minutes which is very acceptable especially since there was a huge party ahead of us. The live music was nice, not too loud where you couldn't hear the conversation at your table. The only complaint really was I felt the salmon was tiny for $18. It was a tad dry but not awfully dry. It was clean and that's a plus. read more

We had a good experience at this location. We happened to go during happy hour and on a Tuesday. The $1 tacos were a fantastic deal! Our favorite was cachete. I just don't get this place. It's a combination of a filthy college town night club and below average Tex mex joint. It was so loud that I could not hear anything the waitress was saying. The food was below average and the drinks were just ok. Our waitress seemed nice although I had no idea what she was saying. I will never return. read more

The first visit was pretty good. Although very dark. I don't think that the "Gen Z theme" that they have going, with vulgar language postings and t-shirts... along with the wordy/obnoxious menu is going to appeal to the older crowd. And let's face it, that's the only thing that's going to keep this business open $$$. The younger generation will not. 2nd visit because my husband wanted to give it a try. We went there with our 25-year-old daughter, who also agreed that the menu was obnoxious. On top of that, the service was awful. Waited over 15 minutes for a drink in a virtually empty restaurant. We ordered served chips and queso, but half the chips were the crumbs from the bottom of whatever bin they pulled them from. Second round of chips that we ordered had a dead stink bug in them. The waitress simply asked if I wanted some more, at which point, I replied "Are you going to bring them from the same bin that the other ones were in"? And she said yes. Didn't even offer to take the $3 chips and salsa off of our bill. But we didn't ask. The servers could use more training. All I know. Not great. Won't be going back. It's too bad because it's a great location with outdoor space. read more

We ate her today and let me tell you everything was amazing from the service, to the drinks, to the food! Izzy was our waitress and she was so nice and helpfully and was really good at suggesting what we should try ! We had the chips salsa & K. So for an apt which was so good! We also ordered several mixed drink which so super yummy ! I had a Bad Azz Bear & a Fish drink( forgot the name) but talk about good! We ordered the Quesabierria Tacos which was amazing and my husband ordered the Mexican pizza ! Everything came out super fresh and hot ! The kids had a blast playing in the bathtub filled will balls !!! Izzy was super sweet and patient with our 4 kids we brought with us ! We will definitely be back again ! read more

Tacos were excellent, and the drink I ordered was very good. Only complaint is that my husband's drink had tequila in it, and he was not asked what brand of tequila he wanted, it had Souza tequila which he said was not very good. Other than that, we enjoyed the food very much and will be back. Our server was very friendly and helpful. read more

Service is pretty awful and that part of the restaurant is mayhem. It took 45 mins to get our drinks after we had to get the waitresses attention 20 mins after being seated. The tacos were pretty authentic though so food was amazing. Service sucked read more

Man, oh man, what a delicious way to start the day! The chicken was perfectly cooked, the pesto was light; enough for flavor, but not overpowering, and just super tasty. I also had an Irish Coffee - but iced. WOW, what a treat! I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this...kinda wish I had one sitting on my desk this late on a Friday, to be real. The drink was rich, flavorful, and the Jameson's was just the right amount. Well done! If you're in the area, I highly suggest you try both - or anything on the menu, the other folks at my table didn't say much because they were too busy eating their food. We arrived on a Friday night without reservations and waited about 30-40 minutes for a table. First, we got a drink by the bar and stood around. Then when seats opened up at the bar, we sat there and ordered two appetizers. Before ordering, I asked one of the bartenders if something was gluten free and she came back with a sheet of paper labeled GLUTEN listing about 25-30 things that were gluten free such as dressings, jambalaya, and egg rolls (which we found out later they are NOT gluten free). I have a picture but I won't share it so that no one is deceived. A few minutes after ordering, we were buzzed that we had moved up the waiting list and to check in. My husband checked in and came to tell me to go to the hostess stand because they are ready to seat us. He went to let the bartender know to send our two appetizers to our table. When I got to the hostess stand, the hostess said that we already had been seated and to just walk upstairs. Even after I explained we had not gotten seated yet because my husband had just checked in, she instructed my party to simply head upstairs and just turn right. We walked upstairs and found a table we assumed we should sit ate. Then when my husband arrived, he went to look for menus because we didn't have any. Ava came by to greet us as our two appetizers of Sauteed Crab Claws and Boudin Egg Rolls arrived. Ava was really friendly and personable. I was so happy the sheet had indicated they are gluten free. I ate half an egg roll and started to suspect it was not gluten free. I flagged down Ava and asked and she said she was pretty sure they were not gluten free. Ava came back to apologize that the egg rolls had been changed and were no longer gluten free, and then are gave me an updated "2026 Gluten-Free Allergy Menu" with a subheader "All items listed are SAFE for you to eat." The egg rolls were no longer listed. For my entree, I ordered the Charbroiled Catfish served over spinach. It came with a salad and apparently a side. I thought my spinach was the side so I didn't ask about my side options and Ava didn't ask me what I wanted as a side. I had a side mixed green salad with no croutons. Surprisingly, everyone's side mixed green salad looked different when they arrived. Mine had croutons. Another had cheese on their mixed greens while another person was served iceberg lettuce. It was very strange. My catfish arrived with French Fries which are not gluten free. I flagged down another waitress who had checked in on us earlier to explain that I wasn't offered a side and that I couldn't eat the French Fries. I asked for cooked veggies and she brought me cauliflower. I thoroughly enjoyed my catfish and cauliflower. Others are the table had the Seafood Lasagna, Seafood Pasta, Charbroiled Oysters, and Crawfish Etouffee. Everyone liked their dishes. The portions are really big. The meal would've been much better if they were better trained on how to handle food allergies. And what the hostess did was not customer friendly at all. We learned from the second server that Ava was in training. Ava did a good job as she was really friendly, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care. I don't think she understood what a gluten allergy was but she followed up when asked to check on the egg rolls.

Everything was delicious, as usual, and the service is always top-notch. Even if you're not hungry, you should come get a beer and walk down to the little river; Louisiana can be magical with the right attitude.

The problem is we live in Houston and only come to the area to see my parents twice every year. On our final night, he said he wanted to go to Tavi. Wish granted. We got a reservation on Open Table (highly recommend) and headed that way. Will was our server (and was also the bartender). He was incredible. He explained how the kitchen has a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items so celiacs and gluten intolerant folks won't react. Words cannot express how much that means to us. Additionally, they could do the fried chicken hummus and use rice flour to bread it instead of wheat. We ordered it. Upon arrival, it was so incredibly good. They brought fresh vegetables (crudite) to use instead of pita (it's $8, but they are homegrown and fresh). My husband, who can have all the gluten in the world, enjoyed his with pita. He put it on his plate. The pita also came with olive oil and is made in house. You can watch them bake it in the wood-fired oven. The pita is also the base for the flatbreads. When it came time to order our real food, I got the shrimp and subbed couscous for the rice. It was like a fried Israeli rice with pistachios. Lots of crunch and excellent. The shrimp came in a New Orleans style bbq sauce. I could have drank just the sauce (and taken some years off of my life cause it was butter). My husband had the lamb shawarma since they were half off on Saturday. His came with fries. He was so impressed. If you come and split an appetizer, you could easily split a shawarma. The portions are huge (not on the shrimp, though). You definitely need reservations if you have a larger party. It's not too loud inside, but there's ongoing chatter in the background. I'd also recommend planning on staying at least an hour. They won't rush around. Parking can be a pain, so allow extra time for that. We will definitely be back!!

We went to this restaurant on Cinco De Mayo and expected it to be crowded, and it was. However, the service was amazing. Our server was super nice and quick. The food was fantastic, and we were in and out in about 20-30 minutes, despite there being four of us. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, with good music playing (though I'm not sure if that was just for the holiday).
