Walking up I noticed all these adorable decorations, white picket fence and lovely tea party set ups! I went here with a group of 16 lovely ladies, we sat outside on the patio and it was great, the service was wonderful, the servers were so helpful and on top of everything! They offer cute hats to wear along with gloves to dress up a bit more! Super cute touch! The decor inside was great from princess style, to Wizard of Oz, and everything in between is cute and girlie! It's a great place for parties for people are young and seasoned! We got to smell all the teas they offer so we got to pick three out of the great selection! So we picked the chai, the apple caramel, and the mango peach green tea. Everyone loved them. My favorite was the apple caramel! Their little mini sandwiches were delicious. Tea: 2/5 The tea itself was not strong enough for me. It was watery and very bland. This was disappointing considering it's a tea house. Service: 4/5 The waiter was attentive and kind. He followed up with us afterwards and invited us to upcoming events at the tea house. Ambiance: 6/5 This house looked like it was straight from a museum. Don't let the small space fool you. There were vintage trinkets, dolls, decor, and knock knacks on every corner of the house. There was even a wall where Disney Princess decor for the little ones to enjoy. There is a bin with hats to wear to feel extra fancy. Outside the house on the front porch, there is a photo opp with a royal throne and booth where you can take pictures. Update: When I tried to plan this, it was honestly frustrating. They have an online reservation system, but when I called they day of for a final confirmation, they were not going to honor it until I insisted. That part needs to be better, because if you're going to offer online reservations, they should be reliable. That said, once we were seated, the experience was really good. The aesthetic is adorable and it's basically made for photos. Tons of cute little spots and setups, and the whole place feels like a fun treat. I also liked that you can pick your own tea, which makes it feel more personal. The food was cute. My only real knock is it felt a little expensive for the actual food quality which was all store bought - 4 adults and 2 kids it cost $200 for two of the platters (pictured), two of the kid platters, and 3 tea pots. You're definitely paying more for the ambiance and the overall experience than for gourmet food. Overall, I'm going with 3 stars. Great vibe and plenty of picture opportunities. read more

Super cute tea house with great tea options and a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Only main complaint, was that I called to see if I could get my reservation date switched (after I paid reservation fee) and was told I would get a call back and never did. I ended up following up with them the next day (almost 24hours later). I was told that I probably didn't receive a call back because they were busy the day I inquired about and they were unable to change my reservation date. The lack of communication (customer service) was a little worrysome, especially because I was told that I was going to get a call back. I have a few mixed things to say about this place. I am conflicted on if I enjoyed my experience. Me and my family planned to come here for my nanas birthday, we wanted to do something different. I had went ahead and made us a reservation online, there is a fee to do so. However, when we arrived the staff member said she tried to call me to say they couldn't seat my party of 7. So take note, even though you make a reservation and pay a fee, it may not be guaranteed. We ended up getting a table anyways because the place wasn't even that full. But next they told us that due to a big party we all had to order the same thing. However, my cousin mentioned seeing something that said only parties of 8 had to order the same thing. So they accommodated that we all order our own. I got the 3rd most expensive meal, it came with soup, 4 sandwiches, yogurt parfait, scone, macaron, cannoli, and a chocolate covered strawberry. We also got two pots of tea for our table. My daughter, who is 5, was able to order a "princess" meal where she gets her own tier of treats and her own tea pot of unaffiliated tea. My soup came out first and I had quickly noticed a hair in the soup. It was right on top of the cheese so I think it fell in on its way to be served. I mentioned it to the staff and they quickly changed it for a new one and apologized. The rest of the treats were okay. The sandwiches are not very big and the flavors were meh. I also wanted to note that if you want a different sandwich it is a $2 up charge. For picky eaters, like my cousin, this adds up when you ask for all of the same sandwich. The best part of the experience was the tea itself. It was very good and it was so cute putting sugar cubes into the tea cups. There is free refills on the pots of tea. In the end, everything was pretty pricey for what it was. I ended up paying either about or a little over $100 for me and my daughter (the reservation fee goes to your tab). Frankly, the price wasn't worth the experience or the quality of food for me. Even though I loved the tea, it doesn't seem worth it for me to return. For those who do just enjoy the tea, like I did, they do sell bags of their tea blends to brew at home! read more

We made a reservation for 9, unfortunately 1 of attendees was absent due to health reasons and we advised them as soon as we arrived one was unable to attend we were told reservation was made for 9 you pay for the 9. So we were like ok, we really didn't have much choice in the matter as we already put a deposit, and we had little girls dressed as princesses ready to do their first tea party... in reality it was ours too. They took us into a princess room which was so cute, the entire place was decorated so nicely. Staff several times mentioned we would be paying for 9 and that they could box it up to take or put on the table so we did that. But we found it really tacky to mention it several times about the missing person, especially because she was ill and was unable to attend. They brought out our food which we all had to order the same meal because of the size of our group even though it was 3 little girls and 5 women but it was fine we probably would have all chosen the same meal anyways. I had the pleasure of experiencing their Mother's Day tea today and could not have been more pleased. The food quality was phenomenal as always. But even better than that was the very attentive service that was received. There was a nice young man on the porch handing out carnations to all the Moms upon entering which was a very nice way to be greeted. It very much set the stage of honoring all Moms. We had many different men and women ensuring that all needs were met prior to needing them. This location does not believe in reactive serving. They anticipate in advance and proactive service leads to an amazing experience. Thank you to Mike, Veronica, and another polite young man whose name I unfortunately did not learn. Whenever I am in Arizona, this charming tea house is on my must do list. Highly, highly recommend. Tried the pink door tea house for a tea date with my sister. We both got the garden tea, the soup of the day was broccoli cheddar which was excellent! The tea was also quite rich and came with free refills. The scones were delicious, I was not the biggest fan of the finger sandwiches as they were not very flavorful. We came as a walk in and were sat down right away. But it's important to note that we came during a weekday during typical work hours. The atmosphere of the inside is fun, and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend, and come here again in the future. Our women's organization enjoyed a lovely tea party at the Pink Door Tea House! This cozy tea house was so lovely and beautifully decorated. There is even a bin of tea party hats by the front door for those that don't have a hat, but want to wear one. We opted for the Classic Tea party which was more than enough food for each person. Our group of retired women teachers had our final meeting as a luncheon at the Pink Door Tea House. We are repeat customers, but this year our visit was the best. Ideally, I'd give the place 4.5 stars. The reservation system is a bit complicated. Wish we could do the reservation online without needing a phone call (in my case, a series of phone calls). One of my friends had called a few months earlier to make a reservation for us, and said the staff was so rude to her on the phone that she no longer wanted to go. The person I talked to was very sweet, so I have no complaints with that. The other negative point was that the friend I went with ordered the tea luncheon and didn't find out until it was time to pay that the price on the menu was incorrect and that it was actually more expensive than indicated. Wish the menu had the correct pricing, or that she had been told when she placed the order that the price had changed, so there would be no surprises at the end. Our waiter brought us the wrong tea flavor, but he let us keep it, so we were happy with that! Aside from that, it's all positives. The tea house is cozy and charming, in one of the cute little cottage houses in Glendale. Lots of tea flavors to pick from, including decaf options, and the three flavors we tried were all delicious. The food was good. Our waiter (and the entire staff I interacted with, really!) was nice. I had the Classic High Tea and it was plenty of food, both savory and sweet. Caught up with my really good friend from college today at an adorable teahouse @thepinkdoorteahouse in @historicdowntownglendale This would be a really fun place to have a princess party for young kids or for any type of friend or family gathering. We each ordered the Elegant High Tea today and chose a pot of Jasmine with Petals Green Tea and a pot of Cinnamon Apple Black Tea. ELEGANT HIGH TEA: * Stuffed Tomato with choice of filling on a garden salad * Fresh fruit parfait * Assorted finger sandwiches (4) (cucumber & herbed butter, chicken salad with cranberry & walnuts, egg, tuna) * White chocolate dipped strawberry with milk chocolate drizzle * Assortment of mini pastries * Fresh baked sweet scone of the day served with Sweet Devonshire cream & lemon curd * Loose-leaf tea Our tea was brought out first, followed by the stuffed tomato garden salad. I chose tuna salad as my stuffing and my friend chose chicken salad. The terraced tray with pastries, yummy cherry scones and finger sandwiches were brought out next. The chef also wanted us to have two large warm & delicious blueberry scones sprinkled with white chocolate to top off the tea. We couldn't get enough of the Devonshire cream and lemon curd on our scones. Our servers were so friendly and attentive and didn't mind that we stayed for over two hours, catching up after not having seen each other for a decade! There are two gender neutral restrooms indoors, as well as plentiful free public parking areas nearby. There are several patio tables and chairs in the front yard and back patio for when the weather is cooler. Everything is decorated in a happy, colorful, vibrant manner. Macrons tasted like it came from Walmart Cannoli was dry and stale af. Freshly baked my ass Soup tasted like it came from Costco and then microwaved in a cup Sandwiches are so tiny. Not filling. I know they're just meant as finger food, but the price makes me feel I'm getting robbed. For that price? You guys better double the amount of baby sandwiches! Tea was... excellent actually. My niece and I had such a wonderful time at The Pink Door Tea House! It was so incredibly cute, inside and out with plenty of places to make photo memories! The staff was so attentive as well - shoutout to Anthony, Gabby and Selene for taking care of us! We were sat at a cute little table in the back, set perfectly with ornate teacups, strainers, saucers and flatware and served three tiered dishes with soup and salad coming out first. The soup was FANTASTIC and my niece loved the sandwiches but honestly my favorite was the strawberries and chocolate scone!! Went for Mother's Day tea. The reservation process was a bit frustrating, as the times available on the website were not the actual availability. I was never told about a deposit and when I called to confirm my reservation, she made it seem like it was my fault. The tea house is very cute and the decor is great. It's really snug inside. The menu that was advertised was not what was served. The scones were different and some of the desserts were different. I have dietary restrictions that they seemed to not be able to comprehend so I did not get some or the sandwiches or desserts and they did not equally compensate. The servers were all very nice, the only thing that got annoying after awhile was them apologizing every single time they would come up to the table. I think they took way more reservations than they could handle in their allotted time. The reservation was for 1.5 hours. We didn't get seated until 20 minutes after the start of our reservation and were still told we had to be out by the 1.5 hours so they could get ready for the next wave of guests....we didn't even have our food when they told us this. The ambiance was off since all the servers seemed rushed. The owner went room by room and thanked everyone for their patience and said she did her best while simultaneously telling everyone to be out for the next wave. I loved the idea of this place more than the actual experience. It is an actual tea house, quaint and filled with gaudy decorations that only a grandmother could love. It was actually perfect. We sat in the "princess room" with our little ones and they thought it was nice. However, it was honestly hard to get comfortable. The chairs were hard and even one of the 5 year olds had to sit on her jacket in order for her legs to not hurt. There were other tables with banquettes that may have been more comfortable, but not having sat in one, I'll never know. The server was nice, but overall the service was very slow. The food looked pretty, but the quality wasn't there for me. Even the scones (which should be the highlight of tea) were dry and served with only a tiny bit of lemon curd. Celebrated my grandmother's birthday I found this place by chance when I was searching for a place to host my grandmothers birthday. This place is in an older, totally adorable house. Every room in the house was decorated floor to ceiling in bright, flower, or tea related items. Tea cups, pots, plates, tiny figures, artwork was everywhere. It was quirky yet felt like we were in our own world. Once you are seated the servers will give you the menus. They do offer different tiers if you would like just snacks or the full experience. My party and I did the full experience which included the following: -Fruit parfait: to start us off they handed us a small strawberry vanilla parfait. It is hand made fresh. -stuffed tomato salad: you got to choose what type of salad to have in your tomato and I chose chicken salad. Then they have a house made strawberry vinaigrette which was so light and refreshing and added to the salad rather than over power it. - the three tiered plate - The bottom tier: they had four sandwiches which were big for tea but I didn't mind it at all! They had chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, and cucumber. They were good and they didn't skip out on the filling -The middle tier: the desserts were surprisingly not overly sweet. They had baklava, strawberry flan, biscotti custard, white chocolate covered strawberry, and a macaroon. -The top tier: the SCONES ARE THE BEST THING WE ATE! My family and I love bread desserts and scones are one of our favorites. These did not disappoint! They had a great crust and were warm and soft inside. The white chocolate and strawberry were the perfect duo. We loved them so much that we bought extra to take home! Honestly the only thing that I did notice was that the staff was never in a rush. Thus they did not rush us and we were able to talk and enjoy the decorations. I won't say this is English style but it was still fantastic and made with love!
