My pizza selection

The Pizza Press offers customized pizza assembly line counter service similar to Blaze Pizza. Eat in or carryout. There are self-serve takeout boxes available for leftovers. Lots of pizza bases, toppings and finishers to choose from. Choose your crust too. Casual ambiance, shared parking lot as this establishment is located in a plaza area.

Half and half custom

My son and I stopped here before a movie. We have never been and have been wanting to check it out. Love the concept. Lots of great choices. The place is super cute we are inside but love the outdoor space for when we have nicer weather. Pizza was good they let us customize two sides differently so we could each get what we wanted. Pizza was thin and crispy which made a perfect to us. We split a 12 inch and it was plenty we each had three slices. The pizza came out super quick too. The lower rating was for the women taking out order. My son loved getting to watch it all being done and she had no energy. She never even smiled. One would think when you are making a pizza and you have an excited child in front of you because of what you are doing you could at least smile. It was as if we were inconveniencing her to order a pizza. And it wasn't like it was a madhouse and she had been busy. We got there shortly after opening and one family was sitting and eating already.

I'm shocked this pizza place isn't rated higher. We stopped by after a Walmart trip across the street, and overall, the experience was solid. The interior was clean, and there was no wait when we arrived. We ordered two kids' pizza meals (each came with one topping pizza, a drink, and a cookie), a 12" double-dough pepperoni pizza for me, and a 12" Tribune for my wife. The setup is similar to Chipotle--pizzas are prepared in front of you and run through the oven quickly. They're ready by the time you finish paying. We also tried the boneless buffalo wings, which took a little longer but were delivered to our table. The buffalo sauce was super spicy--so spicy that we had to grab a side of BBQ sauce for balance. The wings aren't coated in sauce; you dip them yourself which felt a little strange. The kids really enjoyed their pizzas, and I thought mine was great too. My wife liked hers but found it overloaded with toppings, which made it difficult to eat without it falling apart. One downside was the freestyle soda machine. Several options were unavailable, which was disappointing because I love those machines (when fully stocked). Another drawback was the price--it came out to over $80 for lunch (including tax and tip), which felt steep. We did notice they offer discounts for Disney and Universal employees on certain days, but you have to show a work ID, which I didn't have on me. Despite the price, we'll probably give it another try and look for ways to save. The food itself was enjoyable, and the experience had potential--it just needs a few tweaks.

The Pizza Press is located in the Hamlin area in Winter Garden. This is pretty close to our home and was pretty much the only restaurant around when we first moved here. We went here way too much when we it first opened. They got really busy and in effect the quality went down, and the pizza was not cooked enough. We haven't been here in quite some time but decided to give it another shot. We were very happy the food was how we remember it. They have really beautiful decorations for the holidays which is really nice. This is a create your own pizza fast food type place. You can dine inside or you can take it to go. I would recommend eating it here, it has never been the best when we took it home. When we first walked in there was one family in front of us and two employees making pizzas and one at the register. They did not greet us or even acknowledge us. The family of three in front of us took so long to order. They clearly had never been here, and the options are overwhelming, so I understood. However, one of the employees was helping them and moved at a snail's pace and then the other girl was making what I can only assume a to go or call ahead order. I really felt like a bother to be honest, we stood there for almost 10 minutes before we ordered. After he helped the family, he chatted for a bit with the other girl. We honestly never got an acknowledgment or a hello. To be honest, the service is what is bringing this location down. When you make your pizza, you start with the crust. They have the standard crust which is pressed in front of you but also have other options including cauliflower, broccoli, and gluten free. The next step is the base which includes sauces and base toppings such as minced or roasted garlic. The next step is the cheese, they have quite a few cheeses to pick from including mozzarella, feta, sharp cheddar, smoked gouda and more. After that comes the toppings which include meat and veggie options. You can add whichever you like when creating your own. After the cook the pizza, the last step is finishers which include toppers such as arugula or basil and dressings such as ranch and blue cheese. There are a lot of options at each step and little signs to help you along the way. I chose my favorite pizza, standard crust, red sauce, mozzarella, extra bacon and mushrooms, topped with parmesan cheese and a side of ranch. Delicious! My husband when for the cauliflower crust to save some calories and topped his with smoked gouda, red sauce, Italian sausage, black olives, banana peppers, sun dried tomatoes and topped with arugula. All in all, this is a really great place to get a customized pizza. It's neat because everyone can get their own combination and exactly how they want it. They are not the best price, we spent over $40 for two pizzas, a fountain drink and a beer. This wouldn't be the first place I go for pizza, but I do enjoy the customization. However, the employees' attitude is something that needs help. There have been a lot of restaurants built in the area, so I do think if they want to stay open and busy, they need staff training and they need something a little different. The pizza is good, but it is hard to compete with the chain pizza places that cost a lot less. This is definitely a place you go when you totally want to customize and want different ingredients. We will go back for sure!

Make your own pizza half and half

The make your own pizza or "publish" your own pizza concept here is awesome!! You can get a large pizza - enough for 3 people to split but we split between 2. We decided for a garlic bbq chicken on one side and spicy red on the other side. The quality of the ingredients was insane! There was fresh Gouda, mozzarella balls, arugula, basil, two types of garlic, and just endless ingredients and options. You can also get some beers on tap! The restaurant was clean, with indoor and outdoor seating. The pizza also cooks so quickly! Thin crust, crisp exterior, and nice oven baked taste. The menu here is a bit confusing, so even though I wanted to order a salad, I couldn't quite figure out how to.

We come here about once a month and enjoy the food here. Today I ordered my "usual" with olives, mushrooms, Italian sausage, roasted garlic and extra red sauce. Tough to beat!

Thin and boring cheese pizza for my kids $20 The Press Cheese.
Robby B.

A newspaper themed pizza place... offering Brazilian pizzas... what a horrible idea. The $20 pizza was thin, small and boring. The "Italian" salad was made entirely from Publix items on the shelf; pepperoni, pepperocini and canned roasted red peppers? Thanks for the packet of Kraft Italian dressing. Try harder. This place sucks.

This pizza spot is an assembly type of pizza joint. You have options of their own kind of pizzas or build your own. They also have other options like pasta, wings and calzones. They do have gluten free options as well. Plenty of options for sauces and toppings. They also have finishing sauces as well. A build your own pizza 15.99 with unlimited toppings. My pizza was good and cooked well. It's a great option for a quick pizza. They also serve beer and have a great selection of local breweries. They have 2 Coca Cola freestyle machines as well. Pizzas are served on a pizza peel.

Crisp & Green delivers a refreshing, healthy, fast-casual dining experience that stands out for its emphasis on fresh, customizable meals. On a recent lunch visit after doing a cold plunge...I opted for their build-your-own bowl to get what I was craving after a busy morning. The bright, airy interior with its clean white aesthetic made the quick counter service feel welcoming rather than rushed. I started with a base of brown rice and spinach. For protein, I chose the roasted chicken tender, well-seasoned, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Then came the fun part of picking a bunch of little sides. The bowl was generously portioned deep and satisfying, easily a full meal that left me energized rather than heavy. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering suggestions when I hesitated over toppings. Service moved efficiently even during a moderate lunch rush. While prices lean toward the higher side for fast-casual (my fully loaded bowl came in around the $15). Overall, my build-your-own experience at Crisp & Green was a win for anyone seeking a customizable, feel-good lunch or dinner. The food was excellent, honestly a 10/10. We started with the chicken balls (coxinhas), which were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the picanha skewer cooked medium was done perfectly, with great flavor and a smoky grilled finish For entrees, I had the filet mignon risotto and it was outstanding. The risotto was creamy, cheesy, and the rice was well cooked, the filet I ordered medium-well and had just a slight pink center, tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. My fiance ordered the Hawaiian pizza, which was super cheesy, crispy, and not overly thick, I've never had pizza with Alfredo sauce before and it tasted really good. Everything we tried was spot on. They also had live entertainment that night, with a violinist, which added a nice ambiance to the evening. The reason for taking one star off is the service, specifically the lack of attentiveness. It felt like servers were covering all tables rather than having assigned sections, which led to some inconsistency. No one really checked in on us throughout the night, we were approached to take our order and bring food, but that was it. At one point, I had to stop another server passing by just to ask for water. The staff was polite, but more attentiveness would have made a big difference, in one occasion "our" server came and took our appetizer plate without barely asking if we were done while I still had a bite on my hand The tip is included maybe that's why they don't put as much effort, and there is also an extra charge on nights with live entertainment while that didn't ruin the experience, I personally don't like being charged for something the restaurant chooses to offer Overall, the food and atmosphere were excellent, but the service could use improvement. With better attentiveness, this place would easily be a five star experience.

Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way.
