I wasn't impressed with the salad, Cesar, was just meh, very iceberg and not enough dressing. The croutons were the best part and I would eat them again. My pizza...I was very excited because I love olives and feta, but it was as light on the feta and heavy on uncut but cooked grape tomatoes. Didn't want to cook the other day so decided to go for pizza. We have had Flippers many times and we love it. f course it's a little pricier than your well known pizza chains but it's a higher quality and taste. When we arrived we saw they had a combo for $11.99. A half of either a Caesar or Italian salad. Along with a 9inch pizza with up to 5 toppings. What a phenomenal deal. We each ordered it. The portion was much larger than I expected. We each had leftovers. Our server was amazing. He was able to take our order and but write it down. Impressive memory. He also kept checking on us which is a huge plus. My tiny negative it was freezing in there. Flippers you are a beautiful late night beacon in a land of early closers. You're out there doing The Lords work, staying open until midnight (and sometimes later). Relocating from Texas or Central Florida, we moved into our apt and neighborhood sight-unseen. Upon moving in we received a welcome packet that housed a variety of local business menus, coupons, info, etc and among them was a free breadsticks coupon for Flippers. Let's just say: ever since then those breadsticks are in every single order we place. This is not hyperbole folks, we legit get them every visit. They are amazing. We also often find ourselves ordering their Chicken Pesto Sandwich (always opt for salt & vinegar chips with it) and/or their Veggie Pizza. We've ordered take out a few different ways: online, in person, over the phone; every single interaction from ordering to pick-up has always been pleasant and professional. One of my fav features is, if you call, they take your phone number and pull your account. From there they read back your most recent order and if you wanna recorder, BOOM-it's done! It makes the process so much easier and streamlined. And it's a live saver when placing an order while leaving the theme parks. What started as a free order of breadsticks has turned us into regulars at Flippers thanks to their staff, service, and food. Thanks for the great pizzas and experiences. My husband went to pick up pizza, and we were admittedly 10 minutes early to pick up the pizza. They told my husband it would take 10 minutes because the "pizzas were in the oven and would be out shortly." That's fine. What isn't fine is having to wait another 30 minutes beyond the estimated pick up time without so much as an acknowledgement that they were behind. Having served tables in restaurants, I'd be more understanding considering that there is an understaffing issue in restaurants nowadays. However, there were six workers in the kitchen standing around. Another 30 minutes later, they still hadn't gotten the pizzas out of the oven. We waited another 10 more minutes. All the while, some of the customers who had been waiting to dine in store walked out. I'd venture to guess it's because of the poor service and wait. So the moral of the story, Flippers has consistently had horrible wait times. Don't expect your pizza to be ready on time. There's so many other options for pizza in the area. read more

We first tried Flippers in the Old Town area of Orlando about fifteen years ago. We loved the garlic bites and delicious hand tossed pizza. The location in Old Town also had a unique and fun atmosphere. On Sunday afternoon we revisited this Florida pizza chain but in a different location at a the Golden Oak shopping plaza area. The atmosphere here was less authentic, just your standard strip mall sort of place. It was about 4:30 so there were only a few other eat in customers although they did a steady carry out business. We were seated quickly and our server took our drink orders. She was cheerful and friendly and wearing a birthday crown. She told us it was her birthday as well as her last day of work for Flippers. I suppose she could have been cranky and nonchalant about providing good service since she wasn't getting fired but she wasn't so we did leave a little extra tip. With two under ten in our party we ordered them individual pies. For 11.95 you could get a small pizza and a choice of salads. The kids ate the pizza while the grownups ate the salads, one Caesar and one Italian. They were both fresh and tasty. We ordered bread sticks too as these have always been a favorite. They didn't disappoint, crispy crust with soft chewy insides. They come topped with garlic butter which is delicious but we could have used more for dipping. We also ordered a deluxe medium pizza. The toppings on this pizza were generous especially the green peppers which were excessive and seemed to be thrown on after the pizza was cooked. We ended up talking most of those off. Don't mind green peppers but this was simply too much green peppers. The other grown up ordered an individual pizza with mushrooms, artichoke hearts, spinach and pineapple. She said the flavors "didn't deliver", I said she got what deserved . As good as the toppings and cheese were all of the pizzas suffered from the dreaded "soggy bottom". It's too bad the crust wasn't cooked correctly as the taste of our deluxe really was good. We all agreed that the Old Town location did a better job overall but since we haven't been back there in five years maybe Flippers over all quality has suffered post pandemic? I would still eat pizza here over the larger chains nearby but it's not as good as we remember it being. It got super busy after five and the carry out orders never slowed down so it is a popular place. Overall it was okay if you're in for the topping and breadsticks but their best server Casey has moved on to greener pastures. read more

I have always liked Flippers Pizza. There is not always consistency between franchises but I've had great success at this location. Flippers uses fresh and natural ingredients. Not tasting artificial or food products loaded with preservatives makes a big difference. The service here is always friendly and the dining area is clean. We pretty much order the same items every time. An Italian sub, salad, personal pizza and calzones. The Italian club is one of my favorites. It has pepperoni, Genoa salami, ham, red onions, tomatoes and provolone cheese. The Italian dressing really pulls all of the tastes together. The pizza and calzones are also very good. They always cook the pizza crust nice and crispy and the calzones are not soggy. We also like the marinara for the calzones. read more

After trying to figure out dinner for an hour last night, we finally decided to go back to Flippers and give them another try. It had been 6 months or better since we had ordered from them last. Last night we tried 2 new pizzas (for us, not necessarily new to the menu). We did the Pig & Pesto, the Saucalito, Toscana Cheese Bread, and tried the Bacon Honey Buns. The Pig & Pesto was by far our favorite pizza of the night. It was well balanced, and had just the right amount of salt from the meat which paired well with the Pesto. The Saucalito was strange. As is, we wouldn't get it again. Having the honey drizzle was too overwhelming for the pizza, and the heat from the jalapeño wasn't enough to cut through the sweetness. All we were able to smell was the honey, and the tastes and the smells didn't add up. Strange was the best way to describe it. However, without the honey drizzle, it was a good sausage pizza. The Toscana bread was as good as we remembered it to be. Now let's talk about the Bacon Honey Buns. Guys - what were you thinking!?! Not good. It's the wrong kind of Bacon to be adding to it. It needs to be candied, or be a different kind of Pig or something...the Honey Buns are good...just only after removing the Bacon. Overall, we will be back to order again. read more

Such a wonderful local gem. I was very hesitant to try at first, but I was drawn in first by a free coupon and have been ordering from them ever since. When they say fresh it means it is freshly made and fresh tasting ! All of the ingredients are obviously high quality and top of the line. I'm pretty particular about my pizza because I can't even eat at places like Cicis or Hungry Howies. Their sauce is fantastic as well. My son likes to eat their steak sandwich because he doesn't really eat pizza so it works out well that they have other menu choices. Their salads are great and very fresh as well. The only suggestion I'd make is that they offer an Alfredo pasta because currently they only offer a marinara one. Ordered pizza after a disappointing meal at a Disney restaurant and the 5 of us were hungry. We ordered 2 pizzas to have some left overs and we have plenty of those. The two pizzas not including tips were $36. The positive I will say that they arrived hot. The negatives were that they tasted like they put sauce and cheese on cardboard and delivered it.
