Really disappointed and sad with my experience at Pizza Taproom. The pizza looked like it had been sitting out for a long time, so I politely asked if they could give me a fresh slice since I could literally see fresh pizza ready behind the counter. They refused, which came across as unnecessarily stingy. To make things worse, there were flies in the pizza case, they really need to keep the food covered better. The pizza was not great, cheese did not taste high quality and they charged me an extra $1 for ranch. Regents pizza which is less than a mile away is way better and don't charge me for ranch and their pizza case is clean with no flies. The Brussels sprouts took forever to come out, and the Caesar salad was extremely basic. The croutons didn't even taste freshly made, which is surprising and honestly kind of sad for a pizza place that already has bread dough available. Nearby spots like Regents Pizza do a much better job overall. Definitely would not recommend, and I won't be bringing friends or family here again.

A good selection of different pizza and pasta options that I enjoyed eating. I would like to come back to try more! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and they are kind to large parties. It is in the mall, so it has very casual vibes.

Great deals, friendly vibe from staff, and lots of beer on tap. The pizza was great and such a large slice too. Crust was good and crispy, and it wasn't too thin! I was very very upset my salad came out so late. My partner and I had finished our pizza, and we were still waiting on the salad. We asked about it twice and we were the only ones there dining at the time. A party had just walked in when we finished our pizza. When the salad came out, it didn't even taste fresh when we got it I was wondering what took so long. The salad was wilted and tasted nearly spoiled. Like today would be the last day they could sell it. I'm disappointed, but the staff did genuinely apologize.

I'm ready for dinner, Are you ready too??

Have been in La Jolla the past few days and was in the mood for pizza. The location also has a nice assortment of beers. The beer I ordered was the peanut-butter stout and it was nice and cold and tasted great. The pizza I ordered was made pretty quickly and I took it back to my hotel. I ordered the American and it was excellent. Very high quality sausage, a good balance of cheese and a nice crisp thin crust that was perfect. Overall a nice place to get a beer or two and pizza. The menu did offer a wider range of options too.

Conveniently located in La Jolla, this place has a very casual and chill vibe where you can get great pizzas and a wide array of drinks all at the same time. They have a very wide selection of drinks including a beer wall. If you want a place to casually socialize but also want real food, this is the place to be. I usually order the meat lover pizza. The pizza is very well done and quite flavorful. The crust is also very crispy. The wait can be a bit on the longer end during prime dinner time, but overall the pizza came out on a timely fashion. Servers are all very nice and answered all the questions. They were very helpful in helping me decide what drinks to get. Some of them also strike small conversations creating a very social and friendly environment. Parking is plentiful. The parking lot is very open and free! That's very hard to come by these days especially in the heart of La Jolla.

Great pizza and the salads! Hot honey pepperoni and the pear with gorgonzola salad are my go to! Great food before going to the movies, or Great spot for a dinner date. Service is always friendly!

Yummy pizza! Fun seating with tvs, games, and even a self serve tap bar. My bf and I came on a random, so glad we did because we tried their small buffalo ranch pizza and it was so delicious. It was nice and creamy, the cheese paired great with their sauce and the crust was crusty - how we like it haha. We also got their Chicken Alfredo Pasta, a great sharing size! Also great and it had mushrooms a nice addition. The workers were friendly and patient with us as we skimmed the menu. We didn't wait long for our food to come out either, fast and efficient I would say. Overall great place! Would definitely come back for pizza night with friends it seems like a fun atmosphere (they have game boards)!

The pizza taproom is one of the few places that are sports bar esque in the UTC area. The combos have a really good value and there's many beers and wine to choose from. The pizza was decent but good for the price. Fast service and self serve options as well.

What an incredible accidental find.. I was craving chicken wings ans pizza and this place SERVED!!!! I'm a sucker for pizza by the slice and they had a bunch of options. My slice was perfectly cooked and well made with fresh veggies piles on top. The hot honey chicken wings were incredible - perfectly fried and juicy and sticky with that sweet spice that lingered on your lips for a few minutes. I enjoyed the beer tap wall, you get a card and get to fill your own glass with beer. its a great way to sample new drinks without bothering the bar tender! I'm also a crazy person and like to mix beers together like Heff's and sours.. some don't taste great, but that's cool I tried it judgement free!

Large parking lot shared with lots of other businesses. They have a huge beer selection. Pizza's are $4 a slice or $9.95 for 2 slices and a drink. They have a slice cabinet at the register. Order at the register and they bring the food to you. Each table had Parmesan, chili oil and red pepper flakes. Napkins are by the soda machine. I did not see a trash can anywhere. They have lots of indoor seating. Tried: pepperoni pizza slice. It was thin and crispy. A step above Costco. A little oily.

Fun and friendly atmosphere with all the playoff games on I just love how fast and friendly they are, even though they're always packed & hustling ~ super busy! Their delicious choices are healthy -oh thank goodness

The service and the pizza was amazing, and the servers were very kind as well. Very funny and friendly people, especially Ralph and Caleb. The vibe was also neat and not too crowded

BOARD AND BREW @ UTC LA JOLLA…read more Parking is free for the first hour since this location is inside the UTC La Jolla Mall. Just keep that in mind if you're planning to spend more time at the mall or eat at one of the restaurants here. I've been to Board & Brew many times, and I usually go to the Pacific Beach location because it's right by the beach and the perfect place to grab a sandwich. This time, I was craving one and decided to stop by the UTC location. One thing I absolutely love about Board & Brew is their signature sauce. There's just something about it, it's tangy, flavorful, and honestly one of my favorite sandwich sauces. I came here with a friend who had been wanting to try Board & Brew since it's a San Diego-based chain, and she really enjoyed it too. The ordering process is simple. You walk in, look over the menu, and choose between their hot or cold sandwiches. My go-to is always the Turkey Club. The bread is so soft, and I love the classic combination of turkey and bacon. The sandwiches are usually around $12-13, which I think is a fair price considering how big they are. One sandwich is definitely enough to fill one person up. I always ask for extra sauce, and this location was super generous with it, which I really appreciated since some other locations charge for extras. This restaurant is a bit smaller than some of the other Board & Brew locations I've visited, but it still had a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the service was fast, the restroom was clean, and because it's inside the mall, the environment feels lively and energetic. Overall, I had a really great experience and would definitely come back.

Ended up giving the hotel restaurant a chance despite the 3.5 rating. Was very pleased with our experience! Our food was pretty good Salmon was an amazing recommendation The braised short rib was a little disappointing. Flavor did not penetrate the meat so it felt bland. The wine sauce was very subtle. But the mash potatoes were good. The Ahi Tuna tostadas definitely had really good flavor! The cheesecake was good paired with a cup of Americano. The price did feel on the high side for the portion size and quality, but I think we're really just paying for the convenience. Wasn't very busy, service was attentive. (Dined/Drank 06/10/26 WE @ 5:00pm): Gravity kept me from elevating to new heights at this brewery!…read more A friend recommended Gravity Heights' Sorrento Valley location to get caught with each other, but she ended up bailing at the last minute due to work. If you knew me, I always searched for breweries wherever I may be, so I was stoked to visit a brewery new to me. Founded in early 2019 by Arturo Kassel (Whisknladle CEO) and Skip Virgilio (AleSmith co-founder) by a chance encounter, Kassel wanted to move away from typical industrial taprooms and create a space with elevated food and a bright, coastal aesthetic that appealed to the tech-heavy workforce in the area. In 2024, they have since opened a second location in nearby Mission Valley. To what heights did gravity allow me to enjoy this brewery!? PURCHASE(S) Gravity Heights Sandbar Golden Ale Blonde Beer 5.2% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Bright golden amber color, citrusy malty piney aroma, light body, citrusy malty piney flavor, crisp refreshing finish, and citrusy malty slight bitter aftertaste. Shrimp Aguachile ($11.00 HH): A big portion of mixed avocado, cilantro, red onion, and shrimp with homemade tortilla chips, this ceviche-like dish was fresh, hearty, and a meal on its own - amazing! Gravity Heights June Gloom Hazy NEIPA Beer 7.0% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Bright hazy amber color, citrus hoppy tropical aroma, light body, citrus hoppy tropical flavor, juicy finish, and citrus hoppy tropical aftertaste. Paloma Cocktail ($10.00 HH): Crafted with Real Del Valle blanco tequila, grapefruit and lime juices, simple syrup, and soda water, this was refreshing and went down way too quickly. Gravity Heights Haulin' Oats Oatmeal Stout Beer 5.3% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Dark brown color, chocolate coffee roasty aroma, heavy body, beany coffee roasty flavor, drying finish, and beany roasty slight bitter aftertaste. 12" Diablo Pizza 6pc ($23.00): Made with tomato sauce, fontina and mozzarella cheeses, spicy calabrese, jalapenos, pickled fresnos, and chili flakes on a somewhat thin crispy crunchy slightly charred crust, this made my mouth tingle from the first bite and i loved it! Kind of pricey, though. Logo Beer Pint Glass ($10.00): I needed some local brewery glassware for the new place, so this seemed like as good a time as any. SERVICE Warmly greeted by two gentlemen behind the bar as I parked my ass on a barstool, I was given menus and a rundown of their happy hour which was going on (yes!). I quickly took advantage of the happy hour specials before they ended. My initial drink arrived immediately while everything else was received just as quickly. The place was packed, so I was amazed by the attentive service (I was frequently checked on as empties were removed). Once I was done, there was no pressure to vacate my stool - outstanding! PARKING (FREE): Although they had their own decent-sized lot, it was full, so thankfully I found a spot on the nearby street (carefully read all posted street signs; I had to in this case!) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A clean modern open spacious layout with plenty of both standard interior seating and exterior covered patio seating with a large central well-appointed bar. Minimal to no promotional items were present. This place was impressive! Plenty of natural lighting in this quasi-exposed floorplan while an assortment of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several muted TVs mainly at the bar and throughout while classic rock & roll music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I had a wonderful time at Sorrento valley's Gravity Heights and would visit again... or at least the Mission Valley location which was closer to me. They had plenty of beers on tap, the food was tasty, the prices were relatively comparable, the food menu was plentiful, and the service was great. Unsure if furry family members were allowed. Daily happy hour specials (3pm-6pm) and almost certain nightly entertainment such as trivia, music, and more was available. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $84.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

General California Gift Card Rules No Expiration: Most gift cards sold in California cannot have an expiration date and remain valid until they are redeemed or replaced.
