We already love pizza cassette from the garten- so happy they have a full sit down spot now and a wider menu. Their pizzas are EXCELLENT. I love the thin crust and just enough sauce. Really loved what they did with the inside of the spot as well - used to be really dark and uninviting. Hope they continue to thrive in PB.

So excited to try this new place in PB! Great location too. We walked in and immediately loved the vibe. Cool artwork, nice dining sets, everything looked great. We ordered the cheese plate and The Elvis Pizza. Our server was great and attentive! Very helpful and definitely kept attention on all his tables. Let's start with the cheese plate. PHENOMENAL. We had an ale soaked cheddar that I would like to swim in a vat of it if I could. Perhaps the best cheese I've ever had. There was also gouda, some salama and truffle salami, break, a mustard, and a jam. The jam was so good it was gone almost immediately. The pizza was a little disappointing. So on it we got parm, arugula, and prosciutto. The arugula wasn't seasoned, just thrown on there, and there was just too much of it. It overtook the pizza. The sauce was also so bland, we were xo disappointed. However the couple next to us ranted and raved about their pizza, so we are holding out pizza judgement until we try some more. So I very well could be updating this review soon. Overall such a vibe! on the expensive side but wonderful dishes!

Located where Hoboken Pizza and Rizers Pizza used to be, and I've honestly never seen this place this busy, so that says something right away. We started with the Fearless Flyer Salad it was fresh, well-balanced. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it, since I am a picky salad eater. For pizza, we got the H to the Ezzo has a really good meaty flavor and everything worked well together without feeling overdone. Their pizzas come in one size only, no small/medium/large. They also have a nice selection of beers, wine, and mocktails. This interior got a major upgrade from how it used to be. Only downside is parking it's rough, so expect to circle or walk a bit. Overall, great food, busy for a reason, and definitely a spot I'd come back to.

First of all, we love (the OG) Pizza Cassette so much at The Garten; it is probably my favorite pizza out of all the choices in SD, no joke. So this expansion of a second location in PB is massively exciting for them. And the fact that I was able to attend their soft opening friends & family night was super special- thank you Jimmy!! This is the same great food but a completely different spin where the Pizza Cassette personality finally got to shine. Love the paint choices, the interior design, the wall art. Everything is so chic and inviting. Unlike the very casual and communal seating aspect of The Garten, this is a sit down dining experience and reservations recommended as its limited seating (esp for dinner). PIZZA: if you aren't already familiar with them I will share my favs! Happy they have the same great options. My absolute fav is the "Fungadelic" and its my go-to choice every time. For this visit we also got "The Sting" (salami, mozz, parm, jalapeno, hot honey) and for those spicy lovers, its legit. The combo of savory, sweet and spicy is great. It medium-hot, you defffff feel it but its not over the top. I really enjoyed. - They do weekly specials and they are always SO CREATIVE. I'm a sucker for potatoes and their take on a loaded baked potato was to die for. Bring that back every now and then, guys. Follow them on Instagram to hear the weekly specials! -You can make any of their pizzas sans lactose with a surcharge for vegan cheese, how nice! SALAD: We were looking for something else to add to our order and the server recommended the Fearless Flyer salad which is a kale-based take on the caesar. I would probably pass on this in the future. It was very lightly dressed, which I appreciate, but with the type of kale they used (blue curled, I think), its the kind that needs some marinade time to infuse and soften up. "This is rabbit food" was my thought as I ate it haha. But I DO love me some healthy veggies and I still ate it all. We asked for another side of the dressing. It was just a lil "green" and tough, is all. DRINKS: Good selection of beer. I went with The Pupil as I always do when its on the menu :) PARKING: its PB, plan for it. This area of Garnet is not too bad for street parking, though. Congrats on the opening, team! Love everything about it and we will be regulars.

I love the pizza cassette location at the Garten and was so psyched to see they were adding a new brick and mortar spot in my neighborhood in pb! The food is just as amazing - with new menu items! The arancini is a must get. Our service was top notch and everyone was so friendly and welcoming - they even brought us side ranch for our pizza. Definitely a staple spot in pb.

PB is seriously lacking in solid & consistent restaurants so I was stoked to try this place out! This pizza did not disappoint and it was awesome to know that most ingredients are made in house. The vibe inside is really cool, would be a great spot to take anyone visiting from out of town. Service was awesome and pizza was solid. I'd definitely return!

Pizza Cassette has quickly become one of our favorites. We were big fans back when it was a pop-up, loved seeing it become a go-to spot at The Gärten, and now we're so excited to have this new location right by us. The space is warm, inviting, and dog friendly, which is always a huge plus. We also love that they have high-top window seating, perfect for awesome people watching on Garnet. Our server Riley was top notch from start to finish, super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better! And of course, the Rocky Top sandwich was out of this world, as usual. It's huge so easily shared between two. They also have a great beverage selection, so it's a great spot to settle in, hang out, and enjoy. So happy to have Pizza Cassette in the neighborhood. We'll definitely be back!

Hands down the best pizza I have had in San Diego and easily in my top 10 nationwide! First off, super cool people, they care about the customer! Great vibe and ambiance. As for the amazing pizza, to me its a Neapolitan Wood Fired Pizza with a New York / New Haven accent. I absolutely loved it and will be coming back! A must, especially if you appreciate carefully crafted Artisan pizza with top quality ingrediants. Thank you Omar!

I tried hard to devour this thing called Queen. So hot and good.

This place just hits the spot. The staff is so friendly, shout out to Omari and Jackie for bringing the top notch customer service from beginning to end with my visit here. I ordered the Queen pizza and added pepperoni. I was going to get it to go, but it was early enough and the vibe was pretty peaceful, so I chose to stay and eat. Worth it. My pizza came out so fresh and hot, I drank my wine while it cooled off a bit. Damn this crust is perfect. Loved the basil, it's so fragrant. Cheese very melty. Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and oregano are in shakers on the table, which I used heartily. Btw, I highly recommend the Malbec. Omari even offered me a small taster before I made my final decision. Highly recommend this red wine if you like a juicy red to drink with your pizza. I tried to devour the whole pizza but ended up taking the rest to go. I was so happy people-watching here too, as I sat right near the window and could see the local sports bar right across from me. Parking was easy because I arrived early, but be prepared to walk a bit if you come later in the evening. I'm still thinking about the crust, it was delicious.

Such a great new pizza place in PB! It was a super cute little restaurant with one or two TVs so you can watch "the game" but it's not a sports bar. We got The Sting pizza and the Tomato Can sandwich. The sandwich was SO GOOD, I'd go back just for the sandwich. The sting was yummy, but it was a little too much flop and I think that's because it got a little soggy from the hot honey. Flavor was great and crust was delicious though. We had food jealousy of the people next to us who had the Elvis and the Soprano (excellent flop scores).

We came across Nonna's, and since I had always wanted to try it, we decided to give it a chance. The hostess was very sweet and seated us quickly, which was a great start. We ordered the calamari and two pasta dishes--one with truffle mushroom sauce and the other with braised pork. The calamari was okay, but it mostly tasted like breading and didn't have much flavor beyond that. The truffle mushroom pasta had a good sauce, but the pasta itself was very bland. Honestly, the pasta tasted like something you could buy at a grocery store and heat up at home. My boyfriend's pasta was okay as well, but neither of us felt like the dishes had much flavor, and the portions were on the smaller side. Unfortunately, the service was probably the biggest disappointment of the night. Our waiter came over, dropped off the water, and shortly after came back to take our order. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so we were surprised by how unfriendly and rushed he seemed. There was no smile, no attempt at conversation, or even a general sense of warmth. What really stood out to me, though, was watching him interact with another couple who were seated outside on the patio. He was completely different with them--smiling, laughing, chatting, and being very personable. At one point, my boyfriend politely asked if he could order a whiskey sour. When the waiter brought the drink, he literally slammed it down on our table, which honestly caught both of us off guard. I then watched him bring the other couple two glasses of wine, gently place them on their table, and do so with a smile. After that, the only other time he came back to our table was to rush us to take our plates. I completely understand that everyone has bad days, and I'm not someone who expects over-the-top service but I have worked in the food industry myself for many years so I do expect at least basic friendliness and hospitality--especially when you can clearly see that the same server is capable of providing it to other guests. For reference, our waiter was bald and wore glasses. He never told us his name. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try Nonna's, but unfortunately, neither the food nor the service left us wanting to come back. There are so many other restaurants with better food, portions, and hospitality that I would personally choose somewhere else for our next special occasion.

Next, we got a glass of prosecco. I told the waiter that I only like wine that tastes much more sweet then bitter or strong and he made a perfect suggestion along with giving us a sampler of 3 different wines which was so generous. I got to try them all and pick the one I liked the most, but even the samples were a generous size. For main course I got one of the current options for the cheese wheel pasta they make in front of you in cacio e pepe and my husband got the formaggi pizza with truffle mushrooms. My husband absolutely loved his pizza and the crust was one of the best he's ever had. My pasta was fresh and had a ton of sauce and cream so they didn't skimp at all. I could tell easily that they use very high quality Parmesan because i'm a Parmesan connoisseur and could taste how potent it was. They let me have as much extra as I wanted on without limiting since I enjoy a lot on it which was also a plus in my book. Next time I would get a pasta that's a little lighter, because it was a more heavy dish and it tends to make me feel pretty full after which is totally a me thing, but they have so much on the menu to try that I'm sure I'll love whatever I get even more next time. Lastly, dessert. We got a regular tiramisu and it was absolutely amazing. They put a ton of cream which is exactly what I look for. It wasn't too espresso or cocoa strong and had a perfect ratio. The cream was so light and fluffy that we had to get another one to bring home and eat tomorrow night! I had seen a previous review on here about someone not liking the tiramisu here and it not meeting their expectations for a more upscale Italian place but I've been to quite a few authentic Italian gems and this one had tiramisu up there so I'd have to disagree and completely recommend! The service was impeccable. Every waiter was kind and prompt, constantly making sure we were taken care of and getting what we needed. The atmosphere was also a plus for us because we have a 1 year old baby and there was enough room where we weren't too cramped or crowded in, and it wasn't too loud or overstimulating. The place was very clean and taken care of as well as the bathrooms. All in all, I loved this place and I will be coming back. I would definitely recommend Monello for a nice little date night, and don't forget the tiramisu.

It was a Friday evening and every restaurant on the street was full and vibrant. You could Yelp these places all day long and it would be hard to choose. There's so many great restaurants around Little Italy. Mimmo's reached out and called us in. There were pretty white tablecloths, the hostess was smiling ready to answer any questions and of course, the menu looked wonderful. Voilà! We'd found our spot. Our waiter was so personable and had all the answers to our inquiries. He suggested items and even answered honestly when needed. I got a Le Pécora Nera Sangria (fizzy blackberry with lemon). Tasty, but too many blackberry seeds coming up the straw. I'd get another one next time. For the appetizers: RISOTTO ARANCINI (a MUST get) - these were absolutely delicious. Four good size bread crumbed fried balls of risotto sitting in the restaurant's own tomato gravy. HOMEMADE FOCACCIA WITH DIPPING OIL (yes, that's the official name) - this is a basket of super soft, warm focaccia bread for a great price. I would get it no matter what main course you're getting! It soaks up every sauce and it's just delicious. MAIN: BAKED LASAGNA (meat) - with the two appetizers this is the perfect size for both of us. No need to get one per person! It was absolutely wonderful. I would get it again. All in all, I'd definitely go back. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful and the employees we came in contact with were great as well. We didn't want to sit at a table right next to the hundreds of people walking by, I don't like that, but there are plenty other options one row in or inside the restaurant. A solid recommendation on my part.

My child had the spaghetti and meat balls (good portion), I had the lasagna (so good), my husband had the Alfredo (big portion and delicious). It was a really fun atmosphere. Will be going back to this place the next time we are in town.

It's right in the heart of Little Italy on India Street in between all of the other wonderful Italian restaurants. When we walked up. They have patio seating as well as inside dining. We decided to do inside dining as it was starting to get chilly outside. We were immediately seated by a wonderful hostess, and that made a positive impression upon us. The whole hostess staff had great smiles on their faces and they were very welcoming. After about two minutes of sitting down, our server came to ask us if we needed time to look over the menu. We said yes but that we wanted a Foccacia Bread table starter. She smiled and immediately went to put the order in. A few few minutes later she came back and we ordered our drinks for dinner: Raspberry Italian Soda, Orange Crush with Fresh Cream on top, and a non-alcoholic spritz. After we got our drinks and sip on them, it took us a bit of time to decide what we wanted. We all know that the burger here is fantastic! However, this evening, we decided to try new things. We ordered: Pappardelle Bolognese with Added Meatballs, Pappardelle Bolognese as it is normally prepared, and a Caesar salad with shrimp added. Our food was out within about 10 to 15 minutes and everything was prepared perfectly. I have to say that we really enjoyed dining in this location and we may need to come back here more instead of traveling to the Del Mar location sometimes. Our server was super customer service oriented and we appreciated her. She went above and beyond to get the orange crush drink to be unique like an Italian soda for my daughter. We were super stuffed and could not do dessert, but we did promise to come back to enjoy the lava cake at a future time. Overall, this was an excellent visit and we appreciate the staff in the great energy that we received at this location. I do highly recommend it.

We ordered the following: * FOCACCIA DI RECCO w/ side of HONEY COMB *CACCIO E PEPE w / jumbo SHRIMP & STEAKS *BRANZINO AL SALMORIGLIO * PAPPARDELLE GAMBERRI * RISOTTO CARBONARA *GELATI E SORBETTI *CHEF'S CHARCUTERIE * ESPRESSO MARTINI * CARNE PIZZA As I read on some other yelp review, their FOCACCIA DI RECCO with side of HONEY COMB is so good. Looking at it, it doesn't look that much good, but omg when I tried a slice omg, as in omg it's delicious! I reccomend you guys not skip this, order this FOCACCIA DI RECCO My ESPRESSO MARTINI came, it's good, same as any other Espresso drink I've had in any other restaurant. The CHEF'S CHARCUTERIE was good, I love everything on it. For their CARNE PIZZA , I was not a big fan of it. All of the PASTAS tasted good. Only one of my son's friends ordered a burger the DAVANTI BURGER and he said it was really a good one, the burger meat patty was not dry and was very tasty. I love BRANZINO , and I always get them when I see them on a restaurant Menu, but omg this BRANZINO AL SALMORIGLIO was sooooo Salty !!! I believe that this was just probably one of those Kitchen errors for the day and someone double salted it, but without too much salt this would probably be a very good one. I don't usually order Grilled or Fried Artichoke 'coz I have bad experiences with them, always end up with a hard or chewy one, but here their FRIED ROMAN ARTICHOKES was so soft and well seasoned. For dessert we had ICE CREAM pistachio, salted caramel ,cappucino , lemon , raspberry , and it was okay. The service was great here. Other than our server, a bunch of different servers kept coming to check on us too or helped our server to pick up our done dishes. The food here was Hit or Miss, but we're definitely coming back to try for more to discover what other good foods they have here.
