I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience I recently had during Wednesday adult skate night. I have been coming to this skating rink since I was a child and have consistently attended adult skate night for over a year, which is why this experience was especially upsetting to me. The first issue occurred at the snack counter around 11:49 PM. I politely asked for a cup of ice water and was told the stand was closed, even though the posted closing time was 12:00 AM. Less than five minutes later, I witnessed another customer being helped at the same counter. When I calmly asked why I had been denied service while another customer was assisted, I felt the response I received was dismissive and unprofessional. The second incident occurred on May 6th and involved my skate stoppers. One of my stoppers accidentally fell off before I could fully attach it, and I was trying to figure out a solution while also asking staff whether anyone had found the missing piece. I explained the situation respectfully and made it clear that I was not intentionally breaking the rules. However, I felt I was spoken to sarcastically and treated unfairly by a manager during the interaction. When I attempted to remove myself from the situation and seek help from another employee, I felt further confronted rather than assisted. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and I was ultimately asked to leave and denied a refund despite trying to calmly explain my situation. I completely understand the importance of enforcing rules and maintaining safety. However, I believe all customers should be treated with fairness, professionalism, and respect. As a long-time customer who regularly supports adult skate night, I left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and disappointed by how the situation was handled. We came for a bday party where we spent on roller skating but there's a huge gaming/play area as well. Because skating was included in the party, I don't know the pricing. However, the skating aids (the little rolling walker-type creations) were $7 a piece to rent for the evening. The women's bathroom was very clean. Interestingly, the sinks, mirrors, and hand dryers are outside of the restrooms. Inside is only the stalls. This creates a nice flow of traffic and avoids any traffic jams inside the restrooms. That said, all the preteens and teenagers had to do their primping outside the restrooms and fully visible to everyone inside the skating area. While the party included pizza and drinks, many of us bought food items from the concessions area before the food came out. The food was a bit slow coming out but everything was good and the fries were top notch! I'd definitely come back just for the arcade or just for skating. It seems that doing both would be a much larger time commitment, and enough to fill a major block in the day if you wanted. read more

The woman with glasses was rude as hell talking to my kids like they were animals and I immediately felt just put off by her (the woman running the rock climbing walls). She was straight up ignoring us (while making eye contact with me) been acting like we weren't even there.. every time that we tried to ask her a question she told us that she couldn't help us and that she had to stay in her place and then she would give us a dirty look. It got so bad that another employee noticed it. It was this smaller white chick with glasses and blonde hair came over and helped us and she was really nice and accommodating. Thanks if you if your seeing this! We felt completely left out of the experience by her. That woman did not seem like she liked her job. I'm talking about the original chick. I brought a party of eight too. (07-20-25) @ (6:15pm-6:30ish) Also, I paid for four of the gold passes and they did not give me my wristband or my husband his wristband and then they try to charge us eight dollars more . We paid for all of the attractions, but they still tried to charge us like we were dummies. read more

There rules about minors are so stupid. No one under the age of 18 is allowed unless they have someone 21 years of age with them the whole time. Kids and teens should be allowed to go to a skating rink without having a parent with them the whole time. read more

Oh what a huge disappointment! And better just deal with frontline worker because the So called manager who wears the black shirt was absolutely useless. Not only does the line take forever just for a drink but the registers they use break down every 5 min. I stood in line for a slice of pizza through 5 songs so you do the math. it was my first time there. I brought my 3 year old nephew. The staff at the front and the skate rental team were excellent. The facility, despite the crowd appeared to be clean. But it was tooooooo crowded!!! Just wayyyy too crowded!!! There were people everywhere; even teens hanging outside. It overwhelmed my experience. This place is very modern and has lots to do. Skating; arcade games; go carts or bumper cars, I'm not sure; rock climbing, and more. Skating costs $6, but I brought my own skates. Came here to do some skating, and it was great at first because me and my family were the only ones there. Then school got out and the place was flooded with teens and tweens who clearly don't know how to skate in a public rink. People were falling down, skating in the wrong direction, almost knocking people over, standing still and texting, etc. They play only modern music and have a cool lights show on the wall/floor. There is a kitchen with typical junk food - fries, pizza, pretzels, etc. Definitely get the fries! So crispy and seasoned, they were surprisingly perfect. (I'm a fry connoisseur FYI.) It's been 20 years since I've last skated. My boyfriend's Birthday was coming up and he decided this is what he wanted to do for the weekend. We looked around the area and this was the only place that had good reviews. All had either 1 or 2 stars. When we walked in, I was amazed of how much stuff they have here besides skating. They also have games you can win tickets, picture booth, roller skate store, food, and more. I was excited that they had air hockey (which we played)!!! For $20.00 (adults) gets us roller skates (rental) and the rink for 8 hours. That is cheap! You can rent lockers for a quarter (Nice size and can fit for two people- shoes and other items) The rink was pretty big and floors was well kept (no trash). I also loved the neon lighting. The selection of music was okay, but the kids seem to like it. Bathrooms are clean (sinks are in the front of the bathroom entrance). They also do special events (Birthdays). The Place is the place for fun. There is so much to do. There is rollerskating, laser tag, rock climbing, a ropes course, bumper cars, arcade and ticket games, and a snack bar. Rollerskates are available for rent or purchase. If purchasing skates, there are all kinds of aftermarket items to trick out your ride. Walkers are available to help new younger skaters. The Place is on the expensive side. The rollerskating is the best deal. There are packaged deals that make the fun a little more affordable. Special deals pop-up from time to time for school holidays. Unfortunately for my wallet none of us were interested in skating. The ropes course and the bumper cars were what my child chose. These are not your grandfather's bumper cars. They bump, they spin, and if you bump into someone else's target, (or they bump into yours,) it will set the car spinning. The climbing area is more than just rock climbing walls. There is a spiral of green pipes that look straight out of Super Mario Bros. Well, minus the warp tunnels and fire flowers. If my climbing kid had been with us she would have loved it. At the time of our visit, a coupon for a free small drink with the purchase of a pretzel prints when you take a picture in the photo booth. We met a group of people here. All the kids seem to be having a good time. This is the kind of place where a few kids may stay together, but for the most part they go their own way. The Place is clean and well lit. (Except were it is intentionally darkened.) Everything looks new. Games are in good working order. The ropes course and climbing equipment are well kept. A seemingly great attraction for the kids, but unless you wanna just play games, don't take toddlers. Their game selection is good, but a little more costly than I expected. The skating rink was actually closed today for refinishing. The larger kids were able to do the attractions and had a blast. No outside food or drink allowed unless you've booked a party... This place can be hard to find: It has an entry on both Galbraith and Colerain and is therefore on the corner of the two, but cannot be seen from the corner of the two as it is behind a BP and a small forest that is covered with thick vines. 2. I could not think of a better name than "The Skatin' Place". This is a place where you go to roller skate. 3. Every Monday Night at 8PM the Cincinnati Rollergirls (and boys) hold an open practice at this location. It costs $5. You will need knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, a mouth guard, and a helmet. The Skatin' Place will provide you with skates. If you are so adventurous as to try this out, know that you will NEED a bottle of water as the water fountain is more of a water trickle, and know that you will get one of the best workouts of your life. I run twelve miles at a time yet this still totally kicked my butt. read more

Would be a great place for families to skate if they weren't so strict on rules, it's a skating rink, they don't even allow our talented children who really know how to skate showcase their talents. It's also ridiculous that we come at 4pm on a Saturday and is asked to either leave or REPAY ( FULL PRICE by the way) at 7pm. If we're already in the building and are actually skating, why do we have to repay? Pretty soon and it's sad to say, they're going to drive every paying customer away! read more

We were in town and decided to invite relatives here for my children's birthday. They had fun my only complaint which I failed to address was that I told them to cut off allowing those who did not show up in time a band and four children came after 4:30pm against my wishes and got in which the party is over at 5:30pm. Did this skating rink used to be called "Dorso's" back in the day? I moved from up there in '79 and if this is the same place it was located off of Colerain Ave. I spent a LOT of time there until we moved to Kentucky!! I still have my last pair of racing skates from back then! I missed the skating MORE than anything else in Cincinnati. I moved to a very small town in Southeastern Kentucky and there was nothing for kids/teenagers to do here. Finally did get a roller rink a couple years after we moved down there but it was NO comparison to what I left behind... I hope this is DORSO'S!!! I used to spend all of my time here as a kid. So many good times were had. The new change is nothing short of AMAZING! It's very busy but that's because it is super awesome and it was Saturday night! If I still lived in the tri-state my kids would be here every day. Prices are reasonable, food is good, and the management is great. I wasn't too impressed with the attitude of our cashier who was talking to me like I was some annoying teenager, but I guess that will happen when you talk to kids all day long and have a lot more maturing to do yourself. The party rooms looked super awesome. The music is good and the lockers are still only 25 cents :) I will definitely be making another trip back to Ohio soon to make a day out of this place and I'm so excited to go back. The only thing missing was a baby changing station in the bathroom... Or maybe I just missed it. read more

I love this place, good location right within the city, because who wants to drive an hour out of the way to go skating lol. The music selection is better than other skating rinks I've been to. (I go skating a lot). They usually have really upbeat music and sometimes they take it old school which I love! So great for the older crowd as well as younger. I really only have one complaint. I prefer inlines and their rented inlines are not so good well at least not the last time I've been there. Misshapen wheels from wear and tear. I now have my own skates though so it's not much of a problem for me anymore. Oh and they have wifi! Which is great read more

Ok so me and some friends went from 5-8 on Friday night. It wasn't too busy so we had a lot of space and got on everything pretty quickly. We got the super place deal for 19.95 on Friday. We didn't skate, however when I went another time it was fun. About half of the people skating were little kids who fell every 10 seconds, but what can The Place do? Not really their fault. The rock climbing wall was fun, although the employees could be trained a little more. Laser tag, the spinny cars, and rock climbing were all fun overall. The skywalk was fun too, but isn't as fun if there is more than 3-4 people. The food was a bit pricy though, so maybe eat somewhere else. We got some fries though and they were hecka good. This is our favorite rink at the moment. We live in Kentucky and come here every Tuesday for $2 tuesdays! Our local rink isn't open as much during the week like here and is closed for renovations which is why we started coming here. But so glad we did! Love love love the music they play which is a mix of hip hop, R&B, and dance music. They have THE BEST soft pretzels! They have salted or cinnamon sugar, and I usually get salted but tried a cinnamon sugar the other day..... OMG it comes with an icing dip.... so good. And the pretzels are pretty big and satisfying. Never had any other food but lots of people get the pizza and it looks pretty good. You can get a large pizza for like $12. A plus for me is free refills on water if you reuse your cup. I drink a lot of water. And we have been going to different rinks in Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio and not all of them give free refills on water. And some only have bottled water or vending machines! So it's a pretty big deal to me. It's a very clean place. There are always employees out on the floor to help people when they fall and maintain order. They have a skate shop so you can purchase your own skates or if you need new laces or wheels. They have lots of games and a photo booth. There are lots of tables and booths but if you get there late on a night when it's crowded you won't get a table. They have lockers but I've never used them. They have an adult night Wednesday night but I've never been able to go yet. They are expanding and the new addition will be open in November or December and an employee told me it was going to have lazer tag, BUMPER CARS!!!!!!, and I think a rock wall and something else.... can't wait for that to open! I only hope it isn't too expensive because my kids will make me poor in there! read more

Family owned skating rink! I have skated here when I was a kid 20 plus years ago. I love coming here still very well kept, food is good and still the same owners as I was a kid! This is a great place for kids to keep them busy and out of trouble not to mention the great exercise!! Whenever I come in town I always bring my kids to skate at this gem!! read more
