This place was SOOOOOO good. Seriously some of the best wings I've had in a long time. We drove a different way back to Vegas from Death Valley...but if not I was 100% going to come back here. We also got the Irish nachos (which were good while still crispy), the Cuban (great), the Cobb salad (amazing and gigantic), and my son destroyed the salmon (wonderful and big piece). I seriously don't know how they stay in business at these prices but again, the food was sooooooo good. Also, the service was amazing. The place was swamped when we came in and as some people left the waitress had us move to prevent the dust coming in with the wind. It was a very thoughtful thing by her and she also said she realized we were just driving through so she gave us extra plates and silverware for the hotel. It fits the bill every time with old western ambiance, good service, good value and excellent food. Cold Beer too, Last time we went, Laura got the NY Strip steak with sweet potato fries and green beans---she was very happy. Clean plate club. Myself and our 2 guests all got the cod fish and chips with coleslaw, This is my go-to order EVERY time and it never disappoints! The fish is hot, tender ad flaky, The fries hot and good. Drinks were niiiiicely poured and the price was better than any bar or restaurant in the state, maybe country. A few black flies flying around also warmly greeted us but weren't too much of a bother. We were checking out this place for the first time so we just came for a couple of cocktails and a couple of appetizers. Can't comment on the entrees but people were chomping down happily when we scanned around the room. They have changed their menu some since last time we were here. Overall, the food was good. The pastrami was warm, and the bread was fresh. Overall, not a bad sandwich. You're probably wondering about the name... My in-laws said, "Let us take you to the Stagecoach Restaurant." So it's on Stage Coach Road. There are two entrances from what I understand. We used the one for the restaurant. The other one takes you through the bar and "Stage Stop Casino." Electronic games only. That's all I saw on a hot, dusty July 3, 2018 anyway. Walking into the bar, is like a scene from Roadhouse (remember Patrick Swayze circa 1989?). To get to the restrooms, you have to walk through the smoke-filled bar. There is immense character development potential in this place... You need inspiration for a comic strip or part in a movie? This is your dive bar. If you tried hard enough, you could match each person sitting at this bar to their truck or beat up car parked out in the dirt lot beyond the side door. Except there are no bouncers. Everyone is too old to pick fights anymore. I was impressed by the special I chose - the Pepper Jack chicken sandwich with my choice of onion rings. Sides also include fries, coleslaw, fresh made potato chips (which are heavy on salt), brown or white rice, or sweet potato fries. The chicken was juicy and plump with a Chipotle mayonnaise sauce. Pair that with fresh veggies and onion rings with some herbs in the crispy batter on the side - yum. The chili is fairly spicy with beans and veggies visible. The battered fish plate I ordered for our kiddos was least intriguing. The batter wasn't all that thick and the fish had a sharp odor and taste. As for the name, each platter has either a $, $$, or $$$ beside it. $ = $5, $$ = $10, and $$$ = $15. The $10 and $15 meals include a bottomless beverage or "one bottle of beer, a glass of wine, or well drink." Additional alcoholic drinks are regular price. Service is friendly. Our nice waitress offered to put both crinkle fries and potato chips on the plate our kids shared because they got into a spat about what to get. Eating at this place is a hit or miss for the food being consistant. We would go here with some friends then go to the other side which has a bar and machines to play. The concept of paying a flat fee was different. You get meals for $5,10 or 15. Most of the waitresses we have had were always good. The bar area was a different story. The one guy who works is very arrogant and expects you to go to him for your drinks if you gamble. He wants you to bring him your empty glasses too. Don't know why he works there , he's very lazy. Then there is a old witch who works there who is even worse. They really act like they don't want you there. We stopped going for the way you are treated. The place is old and not very clean which concerned me for how clean was the kitchen. Like I said food is hit or miss. Chicken wings one night were very small, next time a little bigger. I ordered the spaghetti, and I was told it was an excellent dish. I was looking forward to my meal. Sadly, the parmesan cheese had gone bad, it was hard with an oilly texture, I asked the waitress to inform the chef it had gone bad. My dish was removed and brought back too me the chef simply scrapped the cheese off and returned it. I was quite puzzled since the problem was still there, I explained it was the same dish and I was met with an argument from the manager explaining how inflation doesn't allow them to give away food and they would still have to charge me for the meal mind you I took 1 bite of meat ball and 1 bite of spaghetti. You will leave disgusted with the food, not a singe person in our group of 4 had a good, tasty or desirable meal. Totally destination fucked. The Pastrami sandwich was dry, flavorless and re-fired meat with zero juice came out Luke warm. The Mac-n-Cheese was bathed in grease. The Fettuccine Alfredo was bland and that is the best thing on the table. My daughter's Cuban sandwich also was dry and the macaroni salad actually had chunks of cheese I in it that she put in her mouth with fork and began looking for a place to spit it out. My GF decided on the burger. Most of it is inedible. Chicken Tenders were over cooked and sitting in Garnish that looked like the soiling green at a Dog pound. Wilted lettuce lacking structural integrity. I actually heard the so called cook bragging out loud that he was on fire for knocking so many meals out this afternoon with 12 people in the place for lunch. I just spent 50 dollars for a terrible experience. I hope you don't go there. This place sucked. Our server was nice, pretty and it only took two times asking the Bartender where my Spicy Bloody Mary was? 15 minutes. I went into the bar after 15 minutes to find her but she was too busy showing pictures on her phone to a lady sitting at the bar. She never saw me at her work station. The drink had the correct amount of olives (6) and that was the highlight. No salted rim, no spice, no Lea and Perrins, no flair just basic tomato juice and cheap Vodka. Just such a disappointment. Interesting concept! Everything on the menu is $5, $10 or $15 indicated by the little dollar signs on the menu. The whole vibe is definitely small town, rural Nevada, funky little casino no frills and plain home cookin'. Except - the food is a step above what you would expect. We walked in through the Stage Stop Casino and I was definitely leery of what we were getting ourselves into. The casino is seedy, and old, and dark, and definitely qualifies as a dive. The restaurant is nestled in a back corner in a completely separate area from the Casino. The stark space is decorated with western paraphernalia - think wagon wheels and western saddles. And it was clean. They had chili on the menu and a variety of salads and sandwiches and full hot meals. I asked if they could make me a grilled cheese to have with a cup of chili and our waitress said, "Of course!" My dining companions had salad and sandwiches- all of which looked very good. They even had a home made balsamic vinaigrette dressing and the makings looked crisp and fresh. Not at all what I was expecting. My meal was great. The chili was spicy and rich (with beans - I happen to like it that way) and the cheese sandwich was grilled to perfection. A generous portion of velvety smooth cheese (OK probably Velveeta) on buttery crispy thick cut white bread. All was grilled to a light golden brown.
