This place is definitely a nice addition to South Bay. It's got a colorful, clean, modern vibe and a small but good array of shopping and dining. The outdoor plan definitely takes advantage of our beach weather with plenty of outdoor seating and shade. It'd be a great place to bring my future kids, ya know, if I was into that sort of thing (since dogs aren't allowed). Overall, all of the shops and restaurants are solid but highlights are definitely North, Mendocino Farms, Shophouse, and SoulCycle to work off the calories from all the aforementioned. Not really a fan, the parking is ridiculous... Free but not enough and so spread out, it's just weird. All the shops are quite posh, nothing affordable, the quintessential California beach girl hangout where you should expect to spend 100s on a simple Tshirt. The restaurants though are always packed and just abuzz with people. Most of the stores are geared towards women and a majority are some sort of yoga/mountain-climbing/indoor sports type stores. Not complaining but not my idea of a place to go shopping or even window shop. read more

Truly a beautiful place to stop by and have a great meal, conversation , or cocktail outside in the huge grass & palms courtyard or in one of the fine Restuarants. The shopping is very good , though limited. Multiple types of new retails surround the big grassy courtyard. Benches & seating areas line the grass. A wonderful place to meet up, talk , shop, and dine. HopDoddy has my favorite Restuarant located at one corner. The Turkey burger is right on tender & spiced. The menu of select burgers can suit everyone's taste, yummy fries. True Foods is amazing as u may already know. I go for the soups. Delicious. The Italian restaurant is always busy and I love the outdoor seating. Lastly, Mendocino Farms can't be beat, enjoy that eatery as well. Beyond the sunshine , the great class of people , and the retail , it's a great place to chat and meet up. It's not posh, it's not just for business nor nannies and kids. It's for everyone. The Point is a new, clean, and poorly developed property. It's failure to deliver a complex and experience befitting this location is a disappointment, to say the least. The property is situated on a corner parcel with sweeping views of Los Angeles, the airport, and downtown LA. Of course, they erected a structure with restaurants, shops, & a large patio that take advantage of an expansive and unique view. Right? Wrong! Instead, The Point offers no views from any vantage spot in the shopping center. This complex is an exercise of initiating a development with absolutely no vision. I understand that there are zoning laws and that plans must get through city approval, but this project is a meager and castrated entity. Instead of producing a destination complex with extremely desirable restaurants that take advantage of a magnificent vista, the developers have presented a complex offering no views and forgettable eateries and shops. What could have been something truly special is instead, just another small shopping center. read more

Who doesn't love an outdoor gathering place with great shops, great restaurants, outdoor seating and the occasional band? This is the modern mall, replete with upscale, well, everything. This is a martini and craft beer a place, with Resturants like Noth Italia, Hopdoddy, and True Food Kitchen. The place can get packed for lunch, so parking can be tough. Not the biggest center, but with free parking and beautiful layout it's a local gem. Plenty of shopping and eating options, but without huge crowds it's a cool place to escape and relax. There's a small kids area, couple of fountains and for you selfie lovers there are a quite a few backdrops that demand your smartphone. Nestled between the Manhattan Beach mall and the El Segundo center this place feels like a getaway. Mostly done window shopping here, yet the appeal is there. I've been here twice since they opened: once to eat at Hopdoddy and once to try and get a table at True Foods Kitchen (60-90 minute wait, pass!) It's a well-designed and beautifully manicured space. Benches (with cushions!), plenty of greenery and murals. The two things that irk me are the parking spots reserved for clean air vehicles (why??) and the pet policy. True Foods Kitchen said no pets allowed, there are signs posted that say no pets allowed, but Hopdoddy offers doggy water bowls and treats? It seems like a great place to bring your dog, which is why the no pets policy is such a disappointment to myself and other south bay pet owners. read more

The Point is a new cool small shopping center. I actually had been looking for specific shoes for work and I was able to get them at a shoe store here. My little one also found a hat that he wanted to get with his own money! What? Yes! There's also an area where kids can play while you rest your tired puppies. read more

Wish we had a spot like this in Orange County. Smittens Ice Cream (originally from SF), Sugarfina, Madewell, Mendocino Farms, HopDaddys, and for some reason lots of athletic wear stores--the Point is on point! Lol had to say that one.. There's ample parking and it's a great place to just hang out with friends. There's cute seating throughout the center plaza to spend a nice afternoon people watching. There's a lot more eateries than shopping, but I can imagine more stores coming in in the near future. If you're in the area, check out the plaza! read more

New shopping & dining meeting place in the South Bay area. It's a cute little outdoor mall with shops for clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. and some eateries. (See below directory) It's nice to have a place like this around town because the South Bay doesn't really have any cute outdoor malls. It's quite small but I actually like that because if it was big like The Grove, it'd be jam packed. Love the coziness of it and love that the stores are ones I don't see around town. (Except.. Parking is always difficult here it seems. The only nice thing is that you can access all the stores from any side as there are entrances all around. Very high end establishments with lots of restaurants and boutiques. I do not like that the address is El Segundo yet the vibe and sign point toward Manhattan Beach. Some of the businesses even claim a MB location on their websites...not cool! Looking forward to trying Smitten Ice Cream which should have opened BEFORE this winter chill set in! Not too bad. Don't ever come here during the week at 12noon. NO FREAKING PARKING. Just wanted to hop into Peets for a quick pick me up, but forget it. If I have to park a mile away from where I want to go, its not designed properly. Overall the food places look nice and the stores seem ok. Its a nice place to walk around, ya know, take a stroll or whatever. But, not sure about making regular visits because of my parking experience. If I come back will probably stick to night visits instead of daytime. But 12noon weekday lunchtime anywhere in El Segundo is chaos...honestly. read more

A beautiful new center in Manhattan Beach/El Segundo - I don't know if I would call it a mall, I feel like the eateries outnumber the shops. Mendocino Farms, North Italia, ShopHouse, True Food Kitchen, just to name a few. Also a Lou&Grey, Planet Blue, and Madewell coming soon. Great area for kids with a fountain (not to run in, though you can find a little splash area across the street near the Pinkberry), foosball table, and a cute playhouse. Though NOT dog friendly (SAD). Another gripe is that the parking is a little tough - the center just opened last week, most of the restaurants/stores aren't open, and it was already tough to find parking. Across from Manhattan Village shopping Center, The Point is a hit , it has several nice restaurant's and clothing stores. The outdoors area is a nice place to sit relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. On Sunday's most stores here close early . The shopping center is semi hidden but a nice Gem when you find it . Will be back on Friday. read more

Theres not a lot of variety for shopping/store wise. Reminds me a lot of their nearby neighbours at Plaza El Segundo and the Manhattan Beach mall. All of them have no real retail stores at all...only thing saving manhattan beach mall is macys (barely), sephora & the apple store. The El Segundo plaza is just randomness split in islands (really annoying and people with their beamers or the plastic mommies speeding like crazy.) But I digress...lmao. Maybe its just me but when its called a shopping center I would expect a lot more stores than 8 to go shopping at. Why do we need more yoga, hobo wanna-be mary kate and ashley olsen twin stores?? Its a great fit for all the mommies of the beach cities and people who just like "browsing." But if you guys want to actually do some hardcore shopping for every person/gender..its def not here at all. Its more of a foodie center if anything..just like everything else near this area. I know thats the vibe they "wanted" since residents didnt want it be a "real" shopping center/mall to not create a lot of buzz and people from surrounding cities to come and bombard it. lol. It's pointless to me to be honest have this place open just like the Manhattan Beach Mall. Better to go the local malls like S.Bay Galleria or Del Amo to get some real shopping done and just have needed variety. They should def. build a bridge connecting the the El Segundo Plaza as I had mentioned it to the mall management there since I used to work in that Plaza. Just because this center is pointless in my opinion but might be worth it if its connected to the plaza to actually create more of a "shopping experience." You can literally walk the point in 5 mins & youll be done looking at with the whole thing. read more

Great addition to the South Bay. As others have pointed out, I wish they would let us bring our dogs since it's an outdoor shopping center. They have new stores and restaurants we didn't have in the area like Madewell, Medocino Farms, True Foods and even the popular cycling class SoulCycle. The design of the plaza is kind of weird - you can't see the stores from the outside but there seems to be enough parking (for now). read more

This is an upscale indoor/outdoor mall area. This was my first time here and it seems very lovely. I was here for dinner but you could get desserts and clothing, etc. I was pleasantly surprised that the parking situation is great with tons of parking spaces in the parking lot. read more

The Point is a great place for families. It is intended to be a community gathering place and offers several monthly and weekend activities - concerts, yoga, stroller walks, etc. I love the larger than life lamp shades and the design aesthetic. Yes, there are lots of eateries, but the intent is to create a space where the community will come back again and again... In most cultures, that means to EAT!!! And the restaurants are AMAZING! North Italia is SOOOO good and True Kitchen is fresh, healthy and so kid friendly chic. While I sympathize with the dog lovers, I would point out that to give the mall one star merely because of the no dog policy is a little short sighted. Stores are slowly opening, such as Madewell and others. When complete, it seems like there will be a great balance of fitness and casual wear. The Lucky store is huge and gives me a new perspective on the brand. Although most of my favorite stores are in the adjacent plaza, I still give the Point a big thumbs up because I think it offers a whole lot more than just a place to shop. read more

Open air shopping mall. It's pretty, shiny and new. Ahh... I do love the pretentiousness of the shiny pretty people. It's only half occupied so far. North Italia and True food kitchen. Seem to be the only bustling thing here No dogs no smoking in the beautiful grass area. Which is currently blocked off for old rich people to buy art at an auction. Since I'm early sitting waiting for my friend, I'm glad there are a couple of comfy chairs to sit and wait, otherwise awkward since there are only 3 stores and 3.5 restaurants. I really enjoy spending an afternoon at The Point! The restaurants are delicious and there is a good variety of different types of food. It's a good place to go for date night (which I have!). Very nice ambience. Also there are kids' activities during the day sometimes that you can find on Facebook. Only downside is parking is terrible! Not an ordinary shopping mall. Yet I like this place. This is more like a cool hang out spot. I come here pretty often because of Soulcycle. However there are many great restaurants here as well. My top choice is of course, True Food Kitchen (love it!)!!! I was always able to find good parking. The only time I had difficult time finding one is Friday night or weekend. I love the outdoor seatings. Can't wait for Summer to come so I can appreciate this place more. I just wish they had more fun stores here..... read more

I've been to other athleta stores and this one had the most helpful and friendliest staff. I came in with 2 babies, my hands full, and the associates on the floor were so quick to help find me sizes and give me a hand. Moms love to shop but it can get hard. Left with some great and comfy work out leggings. Worth it. read more

Kid friendly area for sure. Hopefully more shops will be added in, but def cute layout and has a Madewell Clothes store, Lucky Brand. Close to other shopping areas. Hopefully there is an expansion for more stores coming in. read more
