The restaurant was clean, well-appointed, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and easily the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ended for me. While the portions were generous, I found the food to be pretty bland. Everything we ordered seemed to rely entirely on the flavor of whatever was being fried rather than any seasoning in the batter itself. The shrimp, catfish, and oysters were all cooked well enough, but they just lacked flavor. Even the fried okra, which is usually one of my favorites, was disappointing. If you're looking for large portions of simply prepared fried seafood, this may be your kind of place. For me, though, the food just didn't have the seasoning or flavor I was hoping for. I left wishing it had been better, and unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

The servers have always been super sweet and check on us throughout the visit provided additional condiments and refills as needed. They do have some really good selections of fish at a fair price. The bacon wrapped shrimp keeps me coming back. They do have a bar but I haven't had anything from it yet maybe in future I will try and see how the cocktails are. I also enjoy that they have various seasonal offerings and daily specials. The dinner area is open with a fishing theme. It's very casual so there is no need to dress up but the food is still excellent.
