This was a perfect stop for a group that wants to get in a quick late night happy hour. They weren't as busy as some of the other places on the Main Street. We were really craving nachos and we saw on their menu that they had chicken tinga nachos!!! Ok, so we got the Chicken Tinga nachos and they impressed all! I was with a few others that couldn't handle heat (MN mouths in AZ) but we asked for extra avocado crema. I am craving these now!! They were loaded and full of flavor. Something unique that I have never seen anywhere! I would come back here just for these. We also all got the Fig Mule. We had figs in something earlier in the day and were excited to try something we'd never had. I had no clue their was a fig vodka, but I am going to search for it! I am not a fan of ginger beer, so I got a fig and soda water. Still tasty!! Our server was amazing and did everything to accommodate all of my crazy aunts needs and she was very patient with us. There was an annoying group of 14-15 years olds that were jumping around tables at 8pm on a Sunday night and it was shockingly cold in there (due to the ceiling fan being on high- it took a few times asking random staff to turn it down and finally we asked our server and she saved the day!). I think this place might be more for day drinking than getting lunch on a weekday. We arrived around 11:45 and there was only one other table occupied. Our server was attentive (as you would expect with just 2 tables to tend to) and friendly. I ordered a basic burger, medium, with S and P fries and my friend had a Poke Salad. The burger was over cooked but she took it back and had a new one made for me, no problem. The second one was much better. But I don't get why they call them S and P fries when they had no pepper on them. Easy to fix though. Fries were good, but pretty standard. The stand out was the Poke Salad. It was pretty and delicious. And the portions were generous enough that we both decided to take home half of our meals to have dessert. We got the sea salt cookie in a cast iron skillet with ice cream. From the look of it, it was commercially bought cookie dough, as the cookies were perfectly round and uniform. Food was ok fun vibes for drinking though. They have some outdoor games and a couple games inside. There's patio seating with benches and indoor seating and a pretty big bar inside. I got the French dip burger. It gets pretty busy here and there was a wait for outside so we settled to sit inside. It's all street parking by it but there is a parking garage next door and a big parking lot behind it. This place would be really fun with a group of friends for some day drinking and games. It looks nothing special about the border bowl, but the beans, salsa, avodaco, sauce, and a grilled pepper, all went along really well and they were yum! Felt healthy. :) Yet the rice was undercooked, like way undercooked, It was hard and I could see those plain white color on rice, which tells that it is uncooked... other than that, it was yum! And the porch pasta was so good! Lots of chicken bites and the sauce was rich and creamy. But if there was any pickles or something, would've been better since it gets pretty greasy later! Employees are always running around at this location and they have a million things going on. It's always something when I visit. Either I get seated and no one comes to take my order or I'm standing at the hostess area for a while, waiting for someone to acknowledge me. I've even wondered if I'm invisible at times. I have liked The Porch in Chandler so when my daughter wanted to go out to dinner for 15 people after her college graduation, we called them in Gilbert. We told the manager what we needed. They said they could easily accommodate us & it would be amazing. When we arrived, they had us next to the front door at two tables. Part of us had to sit with our backs to the other table. The manager also told us we could do individuals tickets up to 6 & it was fine. We get there and there's a live band playing VERY LOUDLY 10' from the table. After trying to shout to my wife a few times, I just texted her the rest of the night. When the waitress came around we ordered quickly. I asked for ice tea, a straw, and sweetener. She barely even nodded. She had a scowl across her face. She dropped off the ice tea and waters. I reminded her about the straw & sweetener. After another 10 minutes I walked to the bar to get those items myself. The moment we were all done eating, the waitress told my daughter the 6 split on the bill could ONLY be equal. Serious? Half of us have worked in restaurants & knew this was BS. I was already mad. The waitress hadn't said a word to me and barely more to my wife. I just told the lady to give me the bill. I paid the entire thing myself. I wish I could've given her less tip. She frankly deserved none. She ended up with over $50. What a racket. I won't be back to this location. read more

Second time dining here. Party of 6 for happy hour. We arrived at 4:30 and the music was a normal volume. The mgr must have showed up about 30 mins later and turned the music up SO loud we had to YELL in order to talk to our friends across the table. Unacceptable!! I asked to speak to the mgr who told me he turned the volume down upon our first request, which you couldn't tell the difference. He could have cared less. I let him know this was going to be my review. We will never return. There are so many better options where you can have a dinner conversation at 5:00 and not have to deal with loud music more geared to a late-night bar crowd. The adult beverages were a disappointment: our Old Fashioneds were served with no cherry; a slice of orange peel; the implied or whispered suggestion of bitters; with whiskey that was either watered-down or just not very good; four of the 6 of us purchased beer, which was ice-cold on an otherwise broiling day. Lesson: buy the beer, and/or send the bartender back to school. Minus 3/4 star. Five of the six of us liked the food: my salad, which was incomparably excellent, was served with a tasteless dressing. What were my choices at that point? Minus 1 star. The prices weren't too bad in the day-and-age of hyperinflation. Our server gave the check to our out-of- town guest. We came to the porch with a large party this evening and were lucky enough to be waited on by Whitley. She was so kind and attentive and worked incredibly hard all evening to make sure everyone was accomadated. We came with quite a few children as well and she never made them or us feel like a burden. If you're looking for a fun brunch place you should try Porch. There was a DJ playing music, football games on the TVs, and brunch drink special of a bottle of prosecco with orange juice for $20. We decided to get the bottle of prosecco to share. I ordered the chilaquiles with green chili pork which were really good. I would order it again and definitely recommend. I had the Porch for dinner for the first time through one of their delivery channels. I can't comment on the aesthetic of place, but I have driven by before and it looks really cute from the outside. For my delivery I ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeños, the Buffalo cauliflower and the skillet cookie. The bacon wrapped jalapeños were incredible! I would definitely get those again. The skillet cookie was also really good, though, not sure how you could go wrong with a cookie and ice cream on top. The Buffalo cauliflower I ended up tossing because it didn't travel that well. It was a little soggy by the time it got to me. I would give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt though and try it again at their restaurant next time. Overall I was satisfied with my food, just a little bit pricey but I can say the jalapeños were worth the price tag! read more

I really wanted to love this spot but it was just okay I arrived around 9pm for late night snacks and drinks with my bestie. I checked the website BEFORE I drove 45 mins out of my way just to find out they only stay open based on the crowd...which is way different the we close at 12. Seeing that it was slow there was only time for 1 drink before last call and the kitchen was already closed. Update #2: The manager did follow up and confirmed yes there is pico in the salad which has jalapenos. He took care of our bill and made sure I was ok. Update: After writing this the table we wanted was cleaned and another group was seated. Also I ordered the Baja shrimp salad and somehow jalapenos was added (not on the menu). I'm allergic to jalapenos and will go into anaphylactic shock. Luckily I only ate a tiny piece, my throat didn't completely close, and I didn't need an EpiPen. The manager did apologize and my salad was remade. Came for the sole purpose of sitting outside on a swing only to be told by the hostess she wasn't sure if the empty table was still being used. It was very clear the group that had been there had left, but her excuse was "they might be in the bathroom". She didn't bother to ask the server and would only sit us inside. How do you not know what tables are checked out? Maybe they need more tables with swings??? Hopefully the food is better than the service. So far I'm not impressed. Bummed. read more

One of the drinks that I ordered was the small double feature. It comes in one of those old school popcorn containers and even comes with a cup of popcorn on top of your drink! I can't remember the name of my second drink but this was also unique and comes in a chinese take out box, a fortune cookie and chopsticks. The drinks were definitely not weak and delicious. Went there on Sunday. I was seated right away so that was really nice as the places next to it all had long wait. We were so excited to get in so fast. Well, then we sat down and waited for 20 minutes with no a single server to ask if we even wanted water . We waited and waited. After 10 minutes of wait, I decided to put my name on the wait list for Snooze through the Yelp wait list feature for them, just in case. Well, 20 minutes went by without service so I re-checked my place on the list with Snooze through the app and I was the next person. So We got up and politely let the host know we were leaving due to no service. The host was very nice and apologized for the issue. So two starts for the location, it is nice and has open spaces and a patio. We took a few selfies and are thankful we got to sit in air conditioned area waiting in a hot day. That's about it. We hosted a business dinner here last week for a group of about 20 people. We were given half of the outdoor patio (which was nice and cool due to the shade and the misters). Since this was a group event, there was a lot of socializing going on and many of us were moving around to different spots. Our waiter did a PHENOMENAL job of accommodating us and keeping track of our food and drink orders despite all the movement. He left us a big tray of waters as well, so we never had to ask for refills. This place is good for "fun" cocktails. I ordered a blueberry mule which was very tasty and a bunch of my coworkers ordered their other fun selections. We started off with one of the large appetizer samplers. I didn't try everything on the sampler but I did enjoy the guac and the queso! For my meal, I ordered the border bowl with chicken. It was a very large portion and was pretty good. If I could give them O stars I would. I went Over to have to drinks and food with some coworkers ( about 9 of us). We had several drinks and order plenty of food so our tab was not small. Unfortunately I left my sunglasses behind ( not cheap). Next morning when I attempted to used them I noticed they were missing so I back tracked my steps and immediately knew where I had left them. I called The Porch that same am ( waited until they opened) and asked if my sunglasses were there, I gave the description and brand and was told that yes in fact my sunglasses were there. I was told that they will hold them for me "up front". That same afternoon after I left work I drove to the porch to retrieve my sunglasses and was told that "they couldn't find them". What it looked like a manager to me, took my information and said she would call me. Well, my glasses are lost and I never got a call back. So, is it my fault? Yes for living them behind, but at the same time obviously someone on their staff decided to keep my sunglasses and now they can't be found. We do gatherings with large groups all the time so this will definitely not be a place I will ever suggest going to. read more
