Not the best or worst, all around a "meh" experience. Came in here on a Saturday around brunch time and it was definitely busy which is to be expected. The place is pretty big and open which is nice, decor is very 2018 trendy. We snagged a seat at the bar and the bartender asked us immediately what we wanted without providing a menu or saying hello, I'm not a mind reader (but maybe he was) so we asked for a menu and scanned the drinks/food. We inquired about happy hour just because there were signs everywhere (thought it would be strange to have happy hour on a weekend but some do) and was told "ummmmm we I don't think we do that" which was fine. Food seemed pricy for what it was so we just decided to order some drinks. The bartender came and I ordered mine and he sped off to make it leaving my partner just sitting there without ordering his drink which I thought was kinda rude. The presentation on my drink was cute, but it was just a redbull vodka for $14 that you could Instagram - but I've had better drinks at frats when I was in college haha. The blaring music and general sloppy party vibe was not what we were feeling at the time so we decided to call it a day, the bill came quick and we paid and were in and out in less than 30 minutes which is always nice. Can't knock anyone here for slow service. This bar felt very "trying to be Nashville" (which is very trying to be LA) so in a sense it felt like a place that would have been cool a few years ago both in style and age of patron. I would recommend this place to freshly 21 year olds which unfortunately just isn't my scene anymore, we won't be back but it isn't entirely the establishments fault. We love this place. It's just got a chill vibe and fun menu. From Asian to Vegan there's a lot of choices! They have a giant margarita that you can get for the whole table which is pretty fun! There's a big bar in the middle with several tv screens around the whole room. Outside area has actual swings you can sit in around a table. The porch in Gilbert is very cool in inside and outdoor areas. We sat at the bar for happy hour and got some drinks that were pretty well priced. We started off with The Chips and dip for an appetizer- with salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was very yummy & tasted fresh! For dinner I ordered the Forbidden Rice with an egg on top. It was good but wasn't my favorite item on the menu. It comes with a ton of rice so either share or take some home! My friend ordered the Waffle Chicken and I ended up sharing it with her because it was soooooooo yummy! I highly recommend! The sauce it comes with is great for dipping it in! We made a reservation for a party of 10 and confirmed they could fit a party of that size. They ensured us on the phone that they could. When I arrived, there were 2 picnic tables, on in front of the other. When I said we had a reservation and we wanted to sit together the hostess said "well this is what we have". A young gentleman quickly came out and moved the tables so we could sit together. The waitress was very inattentive and took forever to bring us our drinks and take our orders. When the food finally came out 6 of us got our food while the other 4 waited as we ate. The last 4 finally came out but one person's food was the completely wrong order, so it was sent back. It did not come until we were all completely done eating. This was a special event for our family and while it wasn't "ruined", it was the worst restaurant experience we've had in recent memory. Second, cauliflower app is incredible, like I literally dream about it. And then there's the jalapeños (must try). Third, it's just a fun place to be. Now overall, there's a few things to note. Yes they may say it's a 2 hour wait on a Saturday evening, don't be discouraged. Cool little spot! Been there once to watch football which was great! They had all the games available and I even got to have one moved to another TV to accommodate my viewing. My husband I went here for our first dining adventure in over a year! They did not disappoint!! Not only was this place fun, inviting, and safe, it was delicious! It was difficult to pick something from the menu because everything sounded so amazing. I had the vegetarian tacos and they were to die for! I was really impressed. They use beyond beef and it was flavored really well. I always appreciate when a restaurant has vegetarian options. We also tried the different iced teas and one of their current flavors, strawberry kiwi, is hands down the best tea I've ever had! I wanted desert but I was way too full. I will have to try and see if I can squeeze it in next time. The staff were amazingly friendly and everyone was spaced out really well. We came in for a birthday party. Started with about 10 and ended up with 20+. At 9:00 security started clearing out empty high top chairs and tables to make room for their nightclub scene. At around 9:30 while it was still very empty, the head security guy basically said that we had to give up our chairs and table and when questioned about it he said he was the manager. About 10 mins later another gentleman came up and said that he heard there was a misunderstanding between our party and security and wanted to know what took place. I informed him that "the manager" had told us that we needed give ur our table and chairs so they could make room for their night club. He informed me that he was the manager and that it was their normal routine. I completely get that they turn the place into a night club later into the night, but basically kicking 20+ well paying customers out of their chairs when the place is still empty show what a horrible place this is. read more

We were over in Gilbert today and decided to try someplace that we have never been to, and the lucky place was The Porch. We walked in and were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere that we wanted to so, that was easy. Our waitress came over with a couple of glasses of ice water and asked us if we would like to order any drinks and I asked her about the Burger special that they had going on right now. We ordered our drinks along with our Burgers and sat for just a bit and drinks were served right away. This place is really spotlessly clean. The staff were constantly going around to tables and cleaning after someone left immediately. Burgers came and were cooked to order. They were great, came with we tried the sweet potatoes which were great, and the regular fries were hot and also very good. You don't get hot food much anymore, which is a big no no for me. This place was Great and speaking of Great, our waitress Sally was beyond Fantastic. She told us about things going on in the restaurant and the specials, refilled drinks, just a wonderful young lady. We don't get over there much, but I'll tell you that it's worth it to drive over there for the burgers. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other food items. Great Experience!! Food wasn't too bad, but the service was lousy. Our server was clueless as to anything on the menu and couldn't answer simple questions about the food and beers. She missed out on what could have been a much larger tab simply because she took forever to take our order and seemed lost and confused wandering around, but not actually checking on us. Didn't help any thing that a beer mug and plates had to be sent back because they were obviously dirty. The final straw was multiple people openly smoking/vaping at the bar and the staff had no problem letting it happen.
