Smoked crab and pork belly sandwich
    Jane B.

Legit BBQ but the best part was the smoked Alaskan king crab. Not only the best value for a cluster these are smoked. No butter required! Pork belly sandwich was excellent. Healthy thick slices perfectly smoked and not fatty! Just enough to be belly!

We LOVED this spot! We stopped by on a trip down the coast and all got bbq plates since all the sides sounded good. A lot of food you can't help but finish. Brisket was amazing, coleslaw was on the herby/vinegar side while still being mild, toast warm and buttered, and good potato salad. I added a blueberry Hefeweizen which was delicious. Lovely outdoor seating ambiance at wooden picnic tables. If we weren't so full from dinner the night before, we would have come back to try their breakfast burritos! Friendly sweet staff as well.

So good! Spending the summer working in Alaska from Texas and this bbq made me so happy. Sweet tea hit the spot! Went back a second time and also got the beans as an additional side and they were super good too!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and I finally got a chance to go. The ordering process was super easy, and the wait staff was really friendly and helpful. Everything seemed to be set up for a great experience. The seating area is outside, under a building cover, so dress appropriately for weather. The tables and chairs were nice, though. The only downside was the food. It was really bland and didn't have much flavor or taste. I even tried the BBQ sauce that they had on the table, but it tasted just as bland and watery. I ended up drowning it in hot sauce halfway through to at least have some flavor. I was honestly surprised, considering all the positive reviews I had read.

3 breakfast tacos! ( meat, eggs, cheese) Excellent!

Breakfast Tacos! Very unique and yummy. We choose beef brisket as our meat, shared 3 tacos. Tacos are flour based but it reminds me of a birria style taco due to so much yummy cooked cheese everywhere. Great job! Definitely will come back for lunch or dinner. Update- we came back for lunch but didn't care for this style of pork bbq . My wrap was okay but it seemed to lack the advertised sour cream.

    Yummy ribs, very tender

Outstanding meal!! Bbq sandwich was delicious as was the brisket plate! Not usually a fan of vinegar based bbq, however this was fantastic ! Cute place recommended by our Airbnb host.

This was our first stop in Seward for lunch. We got there right as lunch time started at 11, and even though there was a line of people to order, food was ready fast! Had great sweet tea which made this Southerner happy! Would definitely stop here again, you will definitely not leave hungry!

I asked the waitress and she told me that they were best known for the pork belly and the brisket. We got the brisket (4/5 stars) and the plate included sides (coleslaw, baked beans, toast, potato salad - most were 3/5 stars). But the king crab (5/5 stars blow your mind delicious) was amazing - I've only ever had Dungeness crab before and wow I get the type about King Crab! As it is summer, the crab came from warmer water and was tender due to that and how fresh the crab was. I think we might go back for more crab!

I forgot to take a picture of my Pork Belly sandwich but it was as awesome. Prices are reasonable but the food was outstanding! Planning a return visit.

Late lunch after driving in from Anchorage. Ordered Loaded BBQ Potato with Brisket. Very good pickles on top. My only gripe was the bathroom is a port a potty. Food and service was great.

Awesome BBQ on this rainy day after fishing. We were with a bunch of people for a work event and Firebrand was able to accommodate everyone's needs. Service was fast and they had a nice selection of beers to choose from. We were so happy they had coverage on this rainy day but then we lucked out and it didn't rain:)! They also have fire places to keep you warm if necessary. This has become an annual event for us after fishing and some people doing lost lost lake run.

The fried chicken, salmon, and shrimp and grits. We ended up ordering the cream cheese ice cream which ended up taking FOREVER since they forgot about it and never checked on us. After seeing another patron eating a burger i decided to order one too! Great choice. I had the jalapeño burger with bacon jam and man was it delicious. The burger was a perfect medium well, the brioche bun was perfectly toasted, the white cheddar cheese was the perfect complement to the slightly sweet bacon jam, the bacon was crispy, Smokey and not greasy. The only complaint was the slice of tomato that is out of season and tasteless. I mean it is Alaska after all. My seafood chowder which I paid an additional $4.00 for a cup was okay but whatever, the burger made up for it. All in all it was a great experience and delicious meal. We sat as a group of seven people with the plan to have one check with three people and then four individual checks. This is a bullet pointed list of the issues we had. * We had some miscommunication on the splitting of the checks, which is okay, but I believe she should have double checked, especially because we repeatedly made it clear that the rest of us were singles. This became an issue because she told us at the end that they can only split the check two ways. * All of the food was okay, except my friend's (K) burger being pink inside and the chowder leaving a bad taste in my other friend's (B) mouth afterward. * K ordered a plain burger with cheese and received a burger with everything on it, including mayo which she cannot stand. She mentioned this to our waitress who then said "can you just take the lettuce and stuff off?" We said no and got a new burger, because that was not what K ordered. * My Greek salad was also an issue. I have a nut allergy so I checked with her about the ingredients of the Greek Vinaigrette that they bring with it. She said it had an onion base but didn't know the rest so she asked the kitchen, who she says wouldn't give her an answer on ingredients. * She offered me ranch but I told her I don't like ranch so I'll just go without any dressing, I didn't mind that much. She then offered ranch yet again, which was weird, and also a no from me. * She ended up getting me some olive oil and vinegar, which was perfect. The olive oil did not taste like olive oil though so I double checked that and she said it was, it just tasted more like vegetable oil to me and B. * I overheard her talking to a table behind me (what looked to be a child and their grandma) about them not being able to find the bathroom. She said, "oh you couldn't find it? It's like right there. On your left." She was very rude about it which was surprising to me. I felt that the attitude was unwarranted. * We had the discussion about splitting checks and then waited a while to pay. We also noticed that the checks were split incorrectly even though she had probably quadruple checked who the 3 person group was herself. * It took a while so we just went to the front desk area, where after waiting for a long time we were directed to another desk area. The lady that was standing there, she was blonde and a bit older than our waitress (presumably the manager) then left and made herself busy despite staying there the whole time before,so we had to wait even longer. * J, who had the og 3 person group, went to pay with tap, which our waitress was aware of beforehand. She then informs us that tap doesn't work for checks over $100, and his was $184. B paid her check with her Cashapp card and tried to pay J's too because he couldn't. It took the money out of her Cashapp account but didn't go through. We went back to the first desk, and tried again. K was even getting ready to transfer money in case B's didn't work either. Then, she tells us that apparently she can split the payment into two that are under $100... which would have been wonderful to know before we were running around trying to figure out how to pay our bill. Also, would have been a convenient way to keep it as two checks but still split up payments between the singles. * I also overheard our waitress speaking rudely to her coworker (a girl with black hair and a ponytail who was working hostess) who had asked her a question. She said, "Just press it, it's the same," in, again, a rude tone. * B overheard the manager (? The blonde lady) being rude to our waitress. We would have been more understanding if it was an end of shift slump, but when we sat and asked if the chowder was available she said she had to check because she had just gotten there. We were all very disappointed with this service, especially considering the prices, and will not be going back.
