As someone who eats gluten-free, I was thrilled that the manager was incredibly knowledgeable and explained that just about the only item that wasn't gluten-free was the beer-battered fish. Talk about having options! We started with the Carne Asada and Carnitas tacos, and they were fantastic. But we couldn't stop there! We came back for a second round (they were just that good!) and tried the Vegetarian Elote tacos... and WOW. Major chef's kiss! It was also such a treat to enjoy authentic Mexican rice without having to second-guess whether it was gluten-free. But my absolute FAVORITE part of the entire experience? The habanero carrot hot sauce! It was unbelievably vibrant, fresh, and bursting with flavor. I was waiting at a public transportation stop near the harbor for the free shuttle and saw this…read morecoffee food truck across the street. Caines Head Coffee is a small batch artisan roast company that operates out of Seward, Alaska. Their website says they source from environmentally conscious farms. I always get this late afternoon caffeine craving and wanted a latte. After I put in my order, the shuttle pulled up. The barista was nice enough to put a rush on my order so I wouldn't miss it. I appreciated the great service and my yummy latte. Caines Head Coffee only operates out of this concession trailer during the summer season.
