The worst experience I have had in this area...As an Army VET traveling from Houston, TX to spend time with a buddy of mine. I will never return to "The Pour House". I attended the bar with two friends. my buddy's cost was a full $7. 75 less than mine. The bartender saw the look on my face and obviously remembered who I arrived with; he immediately began to apologize and began the process of gaslighting me (I still hadn't addressed my issues with them). I went ahead and exited the bar to join my friends on the patio; The bartender then sends a manager out with free drink tickets to quell the situation. The bartenders came outside to offer baseless apologies and produced a re-rung up close-out tab for one of my buddies (this tab without any doubt was identical to mine). What the staffs reactions says to me is; these things are part of the culture/management there...and it happens routinely. I simply demanded a refund and left...if I could give them a -5; I'd do it with a clear conscience. this all happened on Reggae Night of all nights. 10 July 2021. read more

Awesome nightlife spot in the small town of Paso. Highlights: - Atmosphere: cozy, casual feel. Just a cool place to kick back, relax, and hang out. - Local live bands: one that played the night we went was awesome doing covers of a bunch of different types of songs plus their originals - Unique beer collection on tap--and a few ciders too. The Pour House is very similar to my favorite beer places in San Jose, except it is a whole lot better. First, the craft beers are roughly $6 dollars. Craft beers run about $9 a pint in the Bay Area so that is just insane. They have lots of options on tap and service is also very friendly. We came for NYE and they were having a pajama party. No cover and there was live music. This was easily the cheapest thing we have ever done for a NYE night out. They passed out party favors, and free champagne toast at midnight. I wish we had a venue like this back home. If I lived in Paso Robles, this would be my favorite place. read more

There is a true review on here from 2 months ago from Danny M. That is spot on. Whoever that is. Me and my friend stopped in here after wine tasting. The bartender (had a man bun) absolutely spoke in a condescending manner. When we would ask a question he would chuckle like we were stupid and then proceed to correct us. There was maybe 6 people in the whole bar because it was a rainy weekend right before Super Bowl and someone didn't want to be here but.... Also disappointing to see Danny Ms comment dismissed as...well we have a long list a great reviews. While this place offered a free beer and for him to give another chance, it was chalked up to someone having a bad day. Maybe it's because most of the reviews were when you were providing entertainment rather than appreciating your customers? We really wanted to like this place, but we won't be back. read more

Local, local, local! This is the locals spot for sure, a little hidden and off the beaten path. Just a few blocks from downtown Paso it is a warm and friendly place to grab a craft beer. Alex the bartender remembers your name (even though it took me forever to remember his). Always a good vibe here. Lots of guest beers on tap, they used to make their own but do not anymore. The offer wine for the gals but is more of a craft beer spot. I just ask Alex what I should have and he'll pick something I always like. Cute small outdoor area for those who smoke, enjoy a cigar or who just want to hang outside in our beautiful sunshine. Industry appreciation on Thursday afternoons, they have snacks (pizza sometimes) and happy hour prices until close for Industry peeps. Regular happy hour is from 2-6 M-F. The Pour House is a super cool place that is kind of a more locals only establishment. They are welcoming to others as I would call myself right now because I have not established myself regular just yet. I stumbled on this place because it's where my wife and I had our first date. They have a tremendous amount of beers on tap from dark as mud like my wife likes it, all the way to the sours that make you think you're drinking Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar straight out of the bottle. They do have live music at times, it's funny that you will see the same crowd here a lot and I'm being careful because I do want to go back and do not want to be persona non grata, nor taken out front and introduced to the locals. Anyway what more can I say they have great beer, free pretzels and mustard, and free live music at times. A good time had by all. read more

Had an awesome time at the Pour House in December! Saw the Daring Greatly Band and it was amazing!! The place was hopping, no cover charge and lots of fun people enjoying the show. They were super accommodating to everyone, allowed dancing and have a nice vibe. Will definitely try them again. read more

We've been to the Pour House several times now, and every time they are so friendly. Not many places have live music anymore- this place has bands ALL the time! We went last night, which prompted this review- and they had a comedy night! So nice, breaking the monotony of the week by having a couple beers from local breweries, and comedians making us laugh. This is a great place to chill out and enjoy a beverage of your choice. I stopped by on my way through Paso after a quick search on Yelp. Parking was not a problem and I went right up to the counter and saw they had a pretty decent selection of beers on tap. Since I was flying solo that day, I just grabbed a seat by the window to enjoy my beverage. This was very cool. The folks there were super chill - a great example of what I call "beer folks". That is people who just like to relax and enjoy a cold one. The bartender was great, had great suggestions. This was great since they had some really good local choices. Very unique layout. One door to brew Pub. Go through a second door to additional room with full stage and tables. Then there's a 3rd doorway into a brewery. Again, unique. Decent Craft brew selection. Lastly the have a nice outdoor patio and the this place is very dog friendly. We liked the fact that they sell pt. glass "Pour House" koozies. Smart advertising. The Pour House is a great place to stop and get beer in Paso Robles. They have almost every style of beer with 2-3+ choices for each. Featuring a lot of local beer, well known national breweries, and breweries you may not have heard of, there are plenty of choices to choose from. The prices are also very average compared to other breweries/bars. Approximately $5-$8 (mostly $5-$6) per beer just depending on the %ABV I believe. They have a decent sized indoor seating and outdoor patio seating as well. They also have a lot board games which are fun to play. My wife and I play usually play Yahtzee! which can get fairly competitive . They have pretzel sticks and Dijon mustard for munching on, but no other food. Pour House also has many nights with live music, but the one time we went it was SO crowded and SUPER loud because the inside isn't that big. Therefore, unless you really want to see whoever is playing I would avoid those times. Silva Brewing also just opened in the back and of course Pour House has many of those options on tap. I tried them and they were very good. Other than that the Pour House is a great local spot to get some delicious beverages. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Great place to go every other Sunday for the blues jam the dance floor is very small but they're going to do a remodel and hopefully that will expand the place because it's very crowded all the time. I had a couple glasses of the same wine and one person charged me eight dollars and another charge me six dollars later on in the evening. I'm not sure why the price difference. read more

So you're looking to go get some tasty adult beverages. Craft beer, to be more specific. But you don't want to go downtown, and you don't want to have to drive to SLO... Queue up The Pour House! With ~30 taps, and a well selected varity of IPAs, Sours, Barleywine, Porters, Stouts, Ales, Hefe's, and even a beer float or two... you'll find something you want. Pints or flights, you choose. The flights are 6oz pours, so no little sipper glasses here. This is how you sample. The bar tender we talked to knew what he had on tap and was able to talk intelligently about the beers, the history of the joint, and knew the scene. The inside is quaint, some cool couches, and mostly high-top tables. No food, but pretzel sticks and deli mustard are free. Smart. The do trivia nights, and live music during the week. I'd avoid it during live music nights as it would be WAY too loud in that small space. Though I think trivia night is intriguing and it probably a blast, but I'd want food at the same time. Minor details. Bring your own :) Outdoor seating is nice and there is a high-top bar to sit at on the patio or low top tables. There is a smoking area in front so if you want to enjoy the nice weather hopefully no one is smoking, as you'll have to have their cigarette smoke linger around you. I'd like to see no smoking here, but as I live in SLO an smoking isn't allowed I'm just spoiled. I'm looking forward to Silva Brewing coming into town and being available here and can see myself making the trip back up to Paso more regularly to add this place into the rotation. read more

This is a great ale house. They have a huge list of interesting beers and ales and on many nights offer great live music entertainment. The regular locals are friendly and appreciative of the performers. On every other Sunday, the Pourhouse has a blues and R&B jam and draws many of the local A-listers to come out and party and play. Such a very cool Bar, it's definitely a locals hang out, but very welcoming to tourist as well! We sat in the bar room as opposed to the dance/band room, but could hear the music and enjoy peeps dancing! Had my 50th Birthday at The Pour House and had a stellar time! with the blessing of the owner, we used the room off the main bar and had a nearly 'private party' with about thirty guests. Bear Market Riot played, we had incredible beer and wine and excellent hospitality. I can't thank Shawn enough and can't recommend more highly visiting this place in Paso Robles. Yes, years ago, Shawn bought this business from a very cool guy who introduced good music, good beer and good vibes. Shawn has done well. And controlling this must be a feat. We were driving past when we saw this place and had to stop in for a quick beer. The bartender immediately greeted us and struck up a conversation. With his recommendation we tried a couple of local beers. Then we were wondering about some other spots with which he would enlist help from all the local patrons in there. All very friendly!
