I originally planned to make just one rollerball perfume, but I ended up creating two because I couldn't choose between all the incredible scents. I'm completely obsessed with how they turned out! You have someone helping you out throughout the process because there is some calculation involved when it's time to add the jojoba oil and that helped a lot. You can even buy the scents they have without mixing to create something custom! All perfumes are oil based so they last all day! Since my first visit, I've gone back to pick up gifts for friends, and I'm already planning another workshop. The atmosphere is welcoming, the experience is fun and creative, and you leave with something that's completely unique to you. Upon entering there were candles, candles and more candles. I usually frequent the Bishop Arts location but getting there is challenge due to the construction in the area. Also, since I was in the area doing some other things I decided to stop into this location. While the layout of the two stores is similar, this location is more spacious which allows more for more comfortable shopping experience during the busy periods. Also, because of the larger space, they have more product in the store and ready for purchase. Something to note is that while both locations carry the same items; because of demographics availability of certain items may be more readily available at one location than the other. Thankfully, my two favorite candles were in stock making my trip a success. The staff as this location are very welcoming and friendly. The person I worked with was very helpful in pointing out the candles I went for. Of the my two, I was worried that they didn't have one of them and she pointed to where they were and explained the labeling has changed which is why I walked right past them. Having covered a few of the similarities between the two locations; one area where they differ is parking. This location has a huge parking lot (it is shared with other businesses in the area) has plenty of parking. While I don't mind street parking (and walking), there is something to be said for a parking lot as it adds a level of convenience to the shopping experience. Because this was my first visit (I was unsure of the exact location amongst all the other shops), I ended up parking a distance away from the shop and walking to it. I will probably continue to do that as it allows me to still get the walking experiencing. If you're not into walking there are plenty of spaces right in front of the shop. I have been a huge fan of Society and their awesome candles for a few years. While this was my first visit to this location it will not be the last; I foresee many more visits in the future. If you are wanting some nice smelling candles or looking for a unique gift for someone I highly recommend you 'check-in' to Society.

Turns out this is their second location, the first being in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas. This is just a candle boutique, not a home decor or design store. But the owners are designers and have an office elsewhere, if I understood correctly. I loved the look of the store and the salesperson was friendly and helpful. Their candles are pricy but LOVE all the scents and they make a great gift. Oh and I had to buy one for me too! I asked the salesgirl what scent was the most popular and she said No. 2 so that is what I bought for both me and my sister. She wrapped my sister's in a separate bag with tissue so my gift was ready to go! She also gave us tips on how to burn our candles-first time let them burn for 2-3 hours so they burn evenly and don't "hollow" out. Also cut the wick next time I use. I love my candle, I am burning it now! And my sister loved hers too! Will be back, this store is unique!

Everything was explained really well, and the instructors made the experience fun and easy to follow, even for someone who isn't a professional cook. We made our own dressing for the arugula salad, and when I tell you it was amazing, I thought about that salad for days afterward. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the class. I had never had gnocchi before, and it was really, really good. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We also learned some great tips for preparing steak that I wasn't aware of, and I've already started using them at home. Overall, it was a great experience. The class was informative, hands-on, and enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend it to others, and I plan on coming back to try the knife skills class and probably a few other classes as well.

Chef Kate led us on a wonderful 2 hour culinary adventure making roasted chicken, kale salad, a Lemon tart, marinated artichokes, and a delicious aioli. The chicken had a golden brown skin, cooked perfectly. Tasty and crispy. The kale salad had a great flavor thanks to the nice dressing that you make. The lemon tart is made first due to the amount of work and steps involved. It is a nice treat to go with the meal. The artichokes are delicious and you add some of the aioli you make and it is so tasty. Probably my favorite part. You do the cooking yourself but Chef Kate guided us from beginning to end. Happily answering all questions. She made everything so easy and instructed us the whole time.. After you take a class you get $10 off another class and 10% off a purchase in the store. I had to come back a few days later with my wife to show her. The work by Steve Uriegas and Jeff Bergus were some of my favorites. It's a very laid back atmosphere, we felt very welcomed, great people. It's exciting to see downtown Plano adding so many great businesses. My wife and I can eat some great barbecue at Lockharts, go next door to view some art and take a piece home hopefully, then get some dessert at Dude Sweet Chocolate all in the same block. The space is beautifully decorated and spacious. She had a huge monitor on the wall with my picture and Happy Birthday (I'm famous) There are sooooo many scents to choose from. This is the most difficult part, choosing a winning combination. Ebony is very professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. She adjusted to our overwhelming party filled energy with ease, kept us on task and helped us make great candles. Scheduling was a breeze! For example, I ended up choosing very small broken mosaic pieces without realizing they're harder to work with. It would have helped if beginners were guided toward easier options. We also weren't given any patterns or examples unless we specifically asked. I think the workshop works better for people who already have experience. For beginners, it felt a bit stressful--especially since the environment seemed more focused on socializing and chatting rather than teaching. She did give us a free necklace from a previous event, which was a nice gesture. My final tray didn't turn out bad, but it wasn't great either, it has an uneven surface, maybe resin on the top would help but that had extra charge. Overall, it was a good experience to try once, but it could be much more beginner-friendly.

The studio itself is charming, and it was inspiring to see the beautiful projects being created throughout the class. We appreciated having the opportunity to work on our own unique pieces and learn a new skill. As first-time students, however, we would have appreciated a bit more guidance and step-by-step instruction, especially at the beginning of the class. To be fair, our group chose designs that were more complex than many of the other projects in the room, which likely added to the challenge. Still, there were moments when we felt unsure about what the next steps should be and could have benefited from more clarification and direction. One of my friends became so overwhelmed and frustrated by the process that she ended up leaving the class early. I believe a little more hands-on support for beginners could make a big difference in helping new students feel confident and successful. That said, Amy was kind, and it's clear that she cares about her business and her students. With a bit more structured guidance for first-time attendees, I think this experience could be even better. Overall, it was a creative and enjoyable outing, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to try something different and artistic.
