Definitely a great aesthetic for a tea party. I enjoyed the space and the event I attended but the actions of one server left us extremely uncomfortable. He kept coming in asking random questions in the MIDDLE of our conversations, that has nothing to do with him serving. He then began flirting and making inappropriate comments to one of the ladies in attendance. It was super uncomfortable! Holy wow the food! Literally every course was visually beautiful and delicious. The service was impeccable and strongly contributed to the experience. The ambiance was a vibe- loved the classical music and tiny pockets of eclectic beauty across the space. They were very attentive to my group (The Red Hattitudes) and our needs we didn't have to call them they were right there for anything we may have needed refill water,tea or sugar anything the food was good which I was surprised at because I thought how good can a tea sandwiches be but, I was wrong. Such a fun and cute spot and super cozy too. This mom and son tea parlor is a such a good spot to hang with friends and family. The son is the main chef and manager and the mother and son both greeted us and seated us. Both take turns bringing out food and drinks to the table. They also took time to chat with us before we were seated and afterwards too. I came once before with a guy I dated, don't recall much from that first time, but it was 200 times better with my mother. The people you are with makes the experience so much better, of course. My mother enjoyed her high tea and was pleasantly surprised with all of the different and unique flavors of each dish, even down to the dressing of the salad. The timing of each plate for the Magnolia menu was perfect. Oh my I loved everything about this place! I went for a baby shower and it was my first time here. It's like your childhood tea party on 1000. The furniture, the decor, the food it's all great. The soup was the perfect balance of spices and served at the perfect temp. I didn't think I was going to like the ham on raisin bread but it was wonderful! They cancelled my baby shower last minute. It was due to a power outage but they knew 3 days before they let us know. I had 30 people on their way with no venue. It's decorated with the cute couches that grandma wouldn't let you sit on, but you can here. China teacups and the real silverware we had to polish before Thanksgiving and Christmas. SOOOOOO ELEGANT! We had the blueberry and the Chai teas that are poured from the China teapot. The aroma of the teas were sooooo soothing that you have to smell it, before each sip. The finger sandwiches were made when you order them. The flatbread was still hot; the cucumber sandwiches bread was so fresh and the turkey croissant was delicious! And oh, the hummingbird cake was A DREAM! We sat cackling for almost 3 hours because the calm and tranquil atmosphere made us forget about all time; until Christin bre'membered she had to go and finish cooking her greens. If you are thinking of teatime, this is more than likely what you had in mind. The website highly recommends making a reservation, so I called and we even chatted for a bit on the menu. I mentioned I was bringing my 12 yr old daughter who is not as adventurous in new tastes (sticks to chicken nuggets and grilled cheese whenever possible) and the host mentioned that children are often fond of the small sandwiches and raisin bread is a hit as well. So we arrived on the hottest day of 2016 somewhere in August and were welcomed by the name from our reservation. Air conditioning was perfect, and a symphony orchestra played in the background during the tea. Service was some of the best, as when a server arrived it seemed coordinated to a lull in conversation or after a course was finished. We had the place to ourselves and were able to soak in the fine treatment and pretty plates and furnishings. Menu was created for the type of tea I ordered in advance.
