stopped in for lunch and had the La Playa Chicken Bowl, but since I don't eat rice, I asked if they could substitute cabbage with onion instead. They absolutely nailed it. Honestly, that substitution should be an option right on the menu. It turned the bowl into a fresh, flavorful, lower-carb meal without feeling like I was giving anything up. And whoever was cooking today deserves some recognition. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and everything in the bowl worked incredibly well together. But the spicy salsa was the standout. Fresh, flavorful, with just the right amount of heat. It was top notch. It's always nice to find a restaurant that doesn't just accommodate a substitution, but actually turns it into something that feels like the dish was designed that way. I've been to the Quarry a few times, and they've never disappointed. Though the menu is somewhat limited, everything I and my partner have had has been great. The grilled cheese is awesome, and the steak bites are the best I've had. 4.5/5 for food. The beer selection is fantastic - 20+ taps, they cycle through them often, and they're verified on Untappd, if you care about that. The cocktails are really good, as well. 4.5/5 for drinks. Service has been prompt and friendly every time we've been. 5/5 for service. The ambiance is good. It's an industrial warehouse vibe that I quite like. Small-ish inside, but a large outside patio area, as well. 4/5 for ambiance. The one downside is that inside is LOUD. If you're hoping for a quiet intimate meal with your partner, you ain't getting that here. I wish they'd invest in some sound-deadening. Overall, The Quarry is in my top 5 of pubs in Vancouver. read more

Do not listen to the negativity or snarky reviews. Every new restaurant has a few hiccups. We read the reviews & decided to try this place out regardless of the negativity. Both of us have a restaurant background & we're completely impressed. Every single thing we ordered was perfection. The service sublime. Attentive. Cheerful. We drive 25-30 miles from The Gorge to enjoy restaurants out of our area. Well worth the trip. The food was delicious & cooked perfectly. Presentation was excellent. The atmosphere is modern, clean & relaxing. We watched the Mariners win over the Astros on a very nice crisp screen. The space is very smart with wheels on the tables. We can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu. read more

We've been to the Quarry several times now, and we've had a great experience every time! We really enjoy the rotating specials and have tried several menu items that have all been delicious -- fish tacos, meatballs, the special chicken sandwich, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and more. We're excited to come back and try their breakfast. Sherry is awesome, and we've also been really happy with all of the other staff we've met. It's become one of our favorite spots! read more

Really wanted to love this place, but it missed the mark. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated despite open spots at the bar, which already felt a bit disorganized. The prime rib steak bites ($18) were the biggest letdown: no sear, uneven fatty cuts, and more like braised meat than anything resembling steak bites. Our server did remove the item from the bill, but made a strange, dismissive comment ("I didn't make it haha") and then didn't check back on us at all for the rest of the night. We would've ordered more drinks, but were essentially ignored. It's also incredibly loud inside - was hard to hold a conversation from just across the table. I get that new restaurants have kinks to work out, but between the food and service, this wasn't a great first impression. read more

Great new spot in Camas ! Place was packed and atmosphere was festive .. perfect for a Friday night :) Signature cocktails (Basil Lemon Drop and Elderflour Margarita) were fantastic and well balanced. Shared Poke Nachos and Prime Rib Dip Sandwich .. both high quality and very flavorful. Staff/ service excellent despite how busy it was. Let me start off by saying the staff were very good and friendly and the atmosphere was good. Quarry Public House also had a good selection of drinks, beer and wine. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the prime rib dinner, which I ordered medium rare. I understand that with a prime rib, things can get a bit done, but mine was more medium well if not well, very gray and not much pink. It was also dry and chewy and really lacked flavor. The Ajou was not flavorful and very diluted. It also came with horseradish sauce, which needed some more horseradish. Dinner came with roasted potatoes, baby carrots and brussels sprouts. The potatoes were cold and dried out, they obviously had been cooked a while earlier and were kept "warm" under a warming lamp or something and, as with the rest of the vegetables, lacked flavor. My wife ordered the prime rib dip, which looked very good. Her Ajou was also very diluted and not flavorful at all. She ordered fries as her side, which were also cold and stale. One of the reasons we went was to try the Key Lime tart, which was also sadly underwhelming as it also lacked lime flavor. The crust over powered the tart, which was not tart at all. Lastly, I realize this is a "public house", but it was extremely loud, we were sitting across from each other and could not hear each other speak. Great location for those of us on the Eastside of town. I wish them well, I hope they get better. read more

We visited Quarry for the first time on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Since they just opened 2 months ago the menu is still being tweaked, with weekend brunches on the horizon. We ordered Johnny Utah pale ale, the Chevre burger ($22) and the street taco app ($12). The street tacos were made with grilled chunks of filet mignon and a tad dry, served with a nice spicy salsa, radish slices and lime wedge. The burger was not spicy as billed and there was no chevre cheese on it, but had a nice onion jam. The fresh made fries were nice and crispy. We'll be back. read more

Best fish and chips ever! They are fried in avocado oil so they aren't greasy or heavy! Tons of flavor and the fries are great too! Our service and food were great and the patio ambiance was awesome! Can't wait to come back! read more

My husband & I went there the other night for dinner. The restaurant has a very nice setting. Our dinners were very good/tasty & our server was excellent. She was attentive & service of food was prompt. The problem is the noise level, very loud. We couldn't hear each other! The food was good, edamame, steak bites and Caesar salad. Bit overpriced. Our server wasn't very attentive. There were 6 servers just visiting back by their station. Had several dirty plates and several employees walked by and never took a plate or asked if we were done. We arrived at 4:30 and as soon as you walk in you get hit with all this noise. We checked out The Quarry on Thursday, March 26. They had been open for two weeks. This is not a beer and panini place. This was a high end bar and gourmet food establishment. Our food was on par with Roots and the Hammond and Amaro's Table. The cocktails were strong and tasty. I had the prime rib sandwich with salad. The meat was excellent. The au jus was from scratch. The bread was fresh and baked in house. The blue cheese dressing was also house made and very good. My wife had an elderberry margarita which was potent and very flavorful. She had a chicken bowl which was good and healthy. The walls are adorned with local artwork of the quarry in which it lies, and two 100 inch televisions which were broadcasting 4K videos of French cityscapes on one and videos of Japanese cities with beautiful maples in full bloom on the other. We were told Seahawks games would be displayed in season. To be honest the prices were on the high end, but the quality of everything was on another level. I mean silly things like the napkins were top quality square yards of hearty paper, the bathrooms were plush and clean, had urinals, top quality hand soap, touch free paper towels and trash cans. All the details of quality stood out. Mostly the staff was just over the top nice and obviously the chefs were great. Definitely give this one a try. It has definitely added to the finer restaurants in the Camas area. read more

My husband saw that they had Shrimp Etouffee, and I saw the Prime Rib so we thought we'd give it a try. The Shrimp Etouffee is no longer on the menu, the Prime Rib isn't served until 5:30. That is on their website, in tiny little letters. Very difficult to read on a phone screen. We were there at about 4:00. The server said the specials and what the pasta was for the day. I thought I'd try the pasta, but when she came to take our order, the pasta is only served for lunch, until 3:00, and dinner starting at 5:30. Seems odd she mentioned it, and also that they can't serve something they serve for lunch and dinner. Switched gears again and ordered the Wonton Chicken salad. We also ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken bites. They were crispy and the sauce flavor was good, but the chicken was a processed, something. I couldn't get past the mushy texture and couldn't eat them. The dressing on the salad was flavorful, and went downhill from there. There were 3 mandarins, and the chicken was very dry. My husbands La Playa chicken bowl had the same dry chicken. The service was OK, but when the server asked if we needed something, my husband asked for hot sauce. After waiting a while, not eating, he went inside to ask for it and our server was hanging out chatting with a coworker. Another waiter helped him. After that, she did do better though, so maybe he said something to her? Very disappointed. Had hoped for a good restaurant closer to Washougal. read more

Went to The Quarry for the first time and unfortunately underwhelmed. Our service was slow, it took 15 minutes to order drinks and then another 15 to receive them. A table that was sat after us had already received their drinks before we were able to ordered our drinks. Next the food, they have a good variety, but sadly once our fries made it to the table they were cold and the burger had no flavor. Would definitely give it a second chance down the line. read more

One glass of wine and steak bites and fries was $60. They're obviously wanting to cater to the Prune Hill Tesla crowd, but that was a bit much. read more
