    Hanger Steak Frites
    Jessica B.

Excellent; the food, the service, the ambiance, everything! The restaurant itself is beautiful and perfect for date night, special occasions, etc. My girlfriends and I had our annual Christmas dinner here. We started with the meatballs, crab cakes and caesar salad. I can't decide which was my favorite as they were all fantastic! Crab cakes were much bigger than expected, meatballs were tender/flavorful and came with phenomenal toasted bread and that caesar salad was fresh/crisp as can be! For my entree, I ordered the hangar steak frites, medium-rare. The steak came out cooked correctly and the gorgonzola butter complimented it perfectly (and I usually don't even like gorgonzola!). The fries were just as delicious as the steak - I couldn't stop eating them! I would definitely recommend checking this place out if just for a drink and the ambiance alone as it's such a lovely restaurant :)

We have been talking about checking this restaurant out for a while and so glad we finally did! Sat at the bar and tried the park carnitas taco, the port wine cheese spread, and the seafood chowder- all were wonderful, but the chowder- amazing!!! So full of flavor- We shared the duck special and I would order that again and again- perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. In addition, our bartender was lovely and we truly enjoyed our evening - will definitely be back!

We were absolutely blown away by this establishment. The ambience, the service, the caliber of the food, we're all top-notch. We will absolutely be back. We live in Hingham but we didn't realize this place existed. It is honestly incredible. The food is very inventive and Versatile. White table cloths / fine dining, beautiful cathedral ceilings, great music. Friendly staff. Perfect lighting. Great for date night or family outing, can be casual or elevated. Whatever you prefer. We had the pork bun, the meatballs, and the swordfish and South and chicken. All were perfectly executed.

Great little hideaway on route 3A in Hingham. Wonderful selection of local and organic seafood and meats, and vegetables and dairy. Wonderful staff. Exceptionally well kept and clean facility. Incredible bar by the entrance. Warm and welcoming staff. Plenty of parking. The seafood chowder is top shelf and feels like It was made by a chef up in Nova Scotia! Stir fry salmon is another well thought out dish. Liberated and con succotash is just incredible. Highly recommended. 05MAR2022

Takeout tech is on point. Order online with a completely updated menu. Easy peasy. The girl wanted her bacon chee, so the Quarry Burger dinged the bell (onion mostarda on the side). I was feeling seafood, and got pulled into pan roasted swordfish with a buttery corn lobster casserole as a side. Gimme. Inside had an upper crust vibe but not overtly so, and I found myself bookmarking the interior as a place to dine in post-COVID. Order was ready on time, and the staff actually ran my take-out to the parking lot, shouting my name while I was cranking an audiobook in the car. Stellar. Foodwise, the flavor of the burger is on point - temperature of the patty was over cooked. But y'all - the house bacon is some of the best in the area. I want to eat their brunch. Sad the $16 price excluded any sides. Love fries? Expect a $22 burger + side combo. Loved my swordfish dish and the lobster corn side was a total win. Brussels were disappointing - boiled with a salamander finish, but not enough to dry out the copious moisture that made the entire dish a wet cabbage pass. Calamari didn't stand out - it was fine. Dinner for two ran $90 including tip for takeout, which felt high. Will return; as a whole, 3.5 with a round up for to-go prowess.

When our waiter came to rhe table, he noted how everyone had cleared out after the race. We ordered drinks and an app and he mentioned he'd send bread service. Got our drinks, they were great. Our appetizer came, great. We noshed, no bread service ever came. Waiter came by eventually and took our dinner order. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits special and he noted how good it was. Didn't mentioned the missing bread service, but figured we had time. After a little while, our entrees were delivered by the food runner. My shrimp & grits was served with the heads on the plate but severed from the bodies. I moved the heads to an appetizer plate and removed the tail meat from the shells for the 5-6 shrimp on the plate. Once deconstruction was complete, I tasted the dish. It was a bit bland. I used s&p to season the dish, but it was still underwhelming. Our bread service never came. I finished my cocktail and would have enjoyed another. I continued to eat my dish, despite it being disappointing. My husband really enjoyed his meal. When the waiter finally came over, I voiced my disappointment in the dish, which still had 50% untouched, but since I'd deconstructed the shimp first, it probably looked like I ate more thaN i did He didn't really acknowledge my comment about it being underwhelming and then took away our plates and brought the check without any attempt at an accommodation. We would have been open to another cocktail and possibly dessert, but we weren't asked about those options. We paid and left. This Experience solidifies that we will not be back.

We came with a large group, and let's be honest, that can go left real quick at most places...not here. The service was seamless, attentive, and genuinely warm from start to finish. No one was forgotten, no order was mixed up, no delays...just top tier customer service across the board. Now let's talk about the food...because wow. The bread basket came out fresh and warm (dangerously good), and set the tone immediately. I had the stuffed fish, and it was cooked to perfection--flavorful, well seasoned, and not heavy at all. Paired it with a fresh salad tossed in a mustard vinaigrette that was light, tangy, and just right. And the mocktails? So good. Crafted beautifully, refreshing, and not an afterthought like some places make them feel. What I love most is the consistency. Whether it's date night, a casual dinner, or a big group outing, Burtons shows up every single time. Great food, amazing service, and an experience that just feels easy. 10/10...every time.

The "togarashi-crusted" tuna was not crusted at all--completely bland, with no seasoning or flavor. It tasted like it had been frozen, thawed, and simply dropped into the bowl. The rest of the ingredients were just as underwhelming. Everything was placed in separate, unappealing mounds around the bowl: a pile of tasteless sushi rice with a few sesame seeds, hard and underripe avocados chunks, unseasoned raw shredded carrots, smashed vinegar cucumbers with no trace of cilantro and beside that were the overpowering pickled red onions. To make matters worse, it all sat awkwardly on top of a mayonnaise ginger-soy aioli that did nothing to bring the dish together. There was no balance, no cohesion, and absolutely no flavor. It looked unappetizing and tasted even worse. I barely touched it. The server never asked why, and even if she had, I was with coworkers and wouldn't have felt comfortable saying how bad it was. For $28, this was unacceptable. Honestly, it felt like something a child threw together--bland, poorly executed, and completely lacking care. Would not order again.

I ordered the Cape Cod Rueban which is your typical Rueban toppings but a golden fried filet of haddock, on a toasted brioche bun. I was honestly blown away by this sandwich. All the ingredients were so fresh. Both of us were very satisfied with the quality of the food, the huge portions, and the reasonable bill compared to other establishments in the area.
