This Is my favorite bubble tea place in Eugene! They have so many amazing flavors! The price is right and the servers are super chill and sweet. I look forward to going a few times a week. We go here for bubble tea once in a while and the tea itself is always great. I've had the Rose tea, lavender, taro, and matcha- all delicious. The customer service is usually lacking but that seems typical these days. However, running out of your main ingredient and making customers wait for 45 minutes (when you said it would be 20-30) is annoying the first time but ridiculous the second time. I've been there twice now when they have run out of tapioca pearls (they only tell you after you've ordered) and why I waited so long I'm not sure. Initially she made an announcement to the cafe that it would be 20 minutes, it ended up being 45. So we're looking for a new bubble tea location. read more

This lovely little place is just around the corner from Ume Skewer house, which makes for a perfect dinner-dessert combo on takeout night for my partner and I. We came here tonight specifically for tea and a waffle. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with the perfect small-teashop feel. They have free wifi and are attached to a laundromat for added convenience, and there are plenty of teas and snacks to choose from. The creamy teas are non-dairy based (no tree nuts, either- unless you ask for a tree nut drink of course) and their fruit tea is clear tea. When ordering an iced tea you're able to choose a flavor from either tea type and add just about as many toppings as you like for 50 cents per topping. The tea I got was just as expected- perfectly creamy, refreshing, and delicious. The coffee jelly isn't super strong in flavor, but it did add a nice little highlight to my drink. There was PLENTY of topping, too.The staff was helpful, knowledgeable (we asked about their waffles and she explained some things to us), and friendly. She was also pretty fast considering the number of people she was serving. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because there was only one person at the counter-both taking orders and making them. There was a short line out the door and people were waiting for their orders. She was pretty quick- I only wish there were someone else to help her out on a Friday night in late June. I came here twice and we were in town for less than 48 hours. Yes. You read that right. Bubble tea is something that cannot just be done by anyone. Most places only have the syrup flavors but I prefer the TEA. Not only do I want the tea I want to be able to customize the sweetness etc. Rabbit Hole was just the place. Not only was the bubble tea on point, the staff were friendly, the atmosphere inviting, and the parking a breeze. We ordered the jasmine milk tea, vanilla milk tea, and chocobanana egg waffle. Complete disappointment. I thought after reading the reviews this would be a great spot. Both of our milk tea tasted watered down. Our milk tea was supposedly sweetened but I would beg to differ. It was more like essence of a milk tea. The tapioca pearls were chewy but soooooo bland. We ended up throwing our cups away. Total waste of money....then the egg waffle. The egg waffle wasn't crunchy at all. The other waffle was undercooked. The taste was lacking as well. This hidden gem of a tea shop is easily missed if you don't know what you're looking for but once you realize its existence you won't go anywhere else for your ice/milk tea fix! I walked in here on a 99 degree day after realizing I had it bookmarked for far too long without trying it. Iced tea was on my mind so I ordered a honey lemon iced tea. They give you three tea option: oolong, black or green tea and two size options of small and large (except the honey lemon tea only comes in a large size for some weird reason). I would give this place another star if the customer service was a little more pleasant. While the girls at the counter weren't unfriendly, they didn't really help me as a first time customer should be helped in a place with so many options. I only realized AFTER ordering that the teas are all sweetened and you can ask for half of the sugar or no sugar. I also saw that you can add toppings for 50 cents but of course I missed that part of the menu because the employees were staring at me which pressured me to order right away. It would be nice if they could guide you through the menu or tell you to take your time in deciding, especially if no customers are behind you. Telling customers that everything is sweetened or just asking if they want toppings would be a great start. They didn't have any food options when I came in on a Thursday and their small pastry case was empty so I'm not sure if there is usually much to choose from when it comes to food. The honey lemon iced tea (while a little too sweet for me) was delicious and I plan on coming back and ordering it without sugar. The Rabbit Hole is more "tea-centric" than "coffee-centric". Nonetheless, a very nice roast and a good latte. If you have a mix of coffee and tea people, this would be a good choice. The food selection was kind of dessert focused. I did not have any, but there were some interesting choices available. Not open in the mornings, so they can stay open later. The staff was courteous and happy explain menu options for the less informed about teas. A very relaxed unpretentious vibe. I think tea makes people happy. read more

YES FOR AWESOME TEAAAAAAA! Got to The Rabbit Hole around 3:30 and there were only two other people there, but about thirty minutes later a BUNCH of people started showing up and they were speaking the 中文 so you know this place is legit. Also they have their menu in Chinese so there you go. The lady behind the counter was super nice, she let us smell a bunch of their teas and gave us a few recommendations. We decided to go with a pot of the jasmine tea to share because we wanted something hot. It was DELICIOUS. She warned us that it would get bitter over time but we forgot to take the tea leaves out so it did get bitter quite quickly. Definitely still drinkable though :) The cups they use are so cute too! And the tea was piping hot. I couldn't pass up the chance to order a cold drink to go though, so I ended up having to wait in line again. I had the honey green tea and it was so tasty. You can really taste the honey!! I would totally make this my go-to place if I was a student at the University... Seriously this place is legit! read more

Friend and I are from SoCal so naturally on a trip across Oregon we figured we'd try to find at least one boba place to try. I was a bit surprised to find this spot in Eugene but it seemed good from the photos on Yelp so we decided to check it out. Our experience was fantastic. The guy who took our order was very friendly, energetic, and kind. He went above and beyond in preparing our drinks quickly despite the many customers in the store at the time. We got the classic milk tea with boba and the green tea with taro balls, both at 25% sweet, and both were outstanding. I felt they were comparable to the good boba places I've had in SoCal and NorCal and even better than many. Prices were very reasonable despite there being few boba places in the area. So I'm visiting my boyfriend in Eugene, and as we're driving around I notice the little "Rabbit Hole" sign as we're driving by Safeway. I looked it up on Yelp, since he's never heard about it before, and we were surprised to find that it's a new boba/milk tea place that opened on September 26. My boyfriend and I have had drinks from boba giants such as T-Pumps, Sharetea, Fantasia, Half and Half, Tea Era, Ten Ren in various areas in California, so we've had our share of milk teas. We stopped by and decided to try the Blackburn milk tea with small pearls (a roasted black milk tea), and the Fancy milk tea (black milk tea with 3 toppings: egg pudding, coffee jelly, and small pearls). A little bummed that they didn't have regular pearls today for us to try, but the small pearls will do for now. The pricing is pretty standard as far as most milk tea places go. ~$4 for a tea with toppings. As for taste, the Blackburn milk tea has a strong, definitely roast-y flavor that I would compare to some of the 3.5-4 star places in the Bay Area (Chatime). I would definitely recommend it if you want more of the tea flavor. It was a little too sweet for our liking, so we would order it half sweet next time. (We generally prefer our milk teas less sweet.) The fancy milk tea has the standard bmt with all the toppings, and it was fun to drink. The egg pudding was pretty good, not the best I've had but I would definitely drink it again. The coffee pudding had a very subtle, slightly bitter coffee aftertaste, but otherwise was good. And the pearls were made well, chewy, tender, and a little sweet. From first impressions, we do like this store and we hope it does well! My bf agrees that it's the best tea place in town (after frequenting Townshend's, for lack of a better option). We will definitely be back before I have to leave Oregon to try the other drinks. I have been here once and it has solid bubble tea. I tried the honey milk tea with bubbles. I didn't quite taste the honey but I wanted the traditional milk tea so it's not a big deal to me. recently came through Eugene visiting friends, tried the rabbit hole quite a few times. The tea is always really good, sometimes it's not as strong as when other people make it there, so it depends on barista. For me I like it extra strong, so maybe ask for that. I love stopping by and grabbing goodies but I quickly realized I don't feel comfortable sitting down in the area because I always feel like I'm not wanted there, and the other customers are usually kind of rude? Eavesdropping and staring at you. Wish they had a bigger lobby so I could distance myself from the other customers but otherwise, I enjoy myself here. Would recommend. Can't wait to stop by again when I come through. Rose milk tea is amazing, as is the lavender. Updated my review because they use less Ice now, the drinks are more consistent and I've been able to stop in when less students are in there. I love me some bubble tea so thank goodness for another bubble tea place in Eugene!!!! Strange location, kind of hidden next to a laundromat. Very few parking spaces/street parking. The place is super cute and has such a zen vibe to it. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your beverage. So many options!!!!!!!! Ice tea, bubble tea, milk tea, lattes, Yakut (still not sure what it is but boy was it tasty!), other coffee beverages and hot tea. I myself normally only get taro milk tea with tapioca pearls but this place made me branch out the next two times I went. The honey pomelo ice tea with honey aloe jellies- delicious Taro bubble tea with egg pudding... Sounded strange but they suggested it when they ran out of bubbles and it was surprisingly really creamy and yummy. My friend got different ones from me the 3 times we went and I tasted all of hers and of course they were all divine! Another thing I love is their selection of "toppings" pearls, mini pearls, red bean, egg pudding, coffee jelly, lychee jelly, aloe jelly, and grass jelly! And of course I can't forget about the two lovely ladies who work there, they are super friendly and have such welcoming personalities. They tried to convince me to try the grass jellies but I'm not sure if I am that adventurous yet. Happy happy joy joy! This is my new favorite place to get boba. It's a cute place with a wide selection of flavors. My personal favorite is the honey milk tea without ice. It's really great warm for the cold season. Forget your holiday cups at Starbucks and come warm your bellies at Rabbit Hole! The only gripe I have is the location. Decent at best. I used to work in a bubble tea shop and unfortunately, I spoiled myself by making milk teas to my own liking. And for that, I've ruined any other kind of milk tea anyone else will make for me. I will always criticize anyone else milk tea that is not mine. But, since I've moved down to Eugene, and far away from my beloved tools to make milk tea, I've settled with Rabbit Hole. It's okay. It satisfies my craving and that makes me happy. There's not much else to say about it. It's decent. Decent taste, decent bubbles, and decent pricing. The flavors are great actually. Rose? GENIUS. Best pearl tea in Eugene! Coming from cali, the mecca of pearl tea, this place satisfies my taste buds. I have not yet tried their snacks and food items but I can say, their pearl drinks are good! Not overly sweet and I can tell they make it with real tea (they also sell herbal tea here as well). What makes them different from other places in Oregon is that they offer half sweetness or full sweetness to your drink which is good for me since I don't like overly sweet drinks. The drink was powdery and just did not taste good. The cashier was friendly and was very helpful. It would be nice if they made their drinks with actual milk versus powder and hot water. As much as I would love to try everything on there, I always end up sticking to the original stuff - original milk tea, and iced tea on the warmer days.
