Went here for lunch with our friend we were visiting. It was really good and the service was top notch. I could tell it was a neighborhood pub by the conversations going on. Kinda reminded me of the tv show Cheers. Definitely worth going back. read more

I introduced my favorite Chicken Wings with my friends and our experienced was very good. The place was very busy so waiting time is at least 10 minutes to get a seat and another 15 minutes to get your order. Great spot for lunch! Our party of 5 enjoyed our meals- Peronist, Beef Dip, El Jefe & today's special: the Smoked Meat sandwich. Fries were fresh cut and and also delicious! Our server prepared a fresh pot of coffee for us. Good wine list and excellent service. read more

On our way back to Vancouver, we decided to stop here as my GF had been here before. It looks like a typical sports bar/pub. It was just after 2 pm and it was dim inside. We both needed to use the washrooms and they were very cool. (see picture) Loved the sinks! We were just in time for happy hour which was half price appy's (2-4 pm) We shared the dry ribs (excellent) potato skins (not bad but could of used a bit more flavor) and the spinach artichoke dip. It came with tortilla chips. I think it would of been better with pita bread. For drinks, I had a dry apple cider and she had a coffee. The total with tax was 24.95! Unreal value! The waitress was nice and service was rather fast too. I would defiantly come back - especially for the happy hour. read more

I am giving this restaurant an "extra" star - 4 stars (instead of 3) because although the food is far from extraordinary, it's a locally owned neighborhood joint that serves food that is really good value for money. Came for breakfast with friends who are "regulars" on a recent Sunday morning. Plenty of seating when we arrived at 11 am but it was almost full when we left at 12:30. For $6 you can get two eggs any style, 2 strips of bacon, 2 "triangles" of institutional hash browns with a generous portion of ketchup, and two slices of buttered toast. Coffee and juice are extra ($3.50 each, ample refills on the coffee), ordered separately. We were a group of 8 and the very nice server delivered our meals two at at time. By the time mine arrived (in the last of four trips from the kitchen), it was no longer warm but still edible enough, especially for the price. I didn't send it back to get warmed up because the server looked pretty busy. It's been years and years since I've seen 2 eggs plus bacon, hash browns and toast for such a low price anywhere so I would certainly come back again for the same (especially with a bunch of friends). Pro tip - if you order juice, ask for it without ice, as otherwise you get a big glass of ice with some juice poured over the top. read more

This once great pub now isn't so great. New owners bought it up and it no longer is a nice pub to hang and have lunch/Dinner. They are trying to make a night club style rocking place and it doesn't work. Far better places to have a night out. read more

First time in years I've been here. I was exited to try the tuna poke appy. But when we ordered it, it was sold out.. and we wanted the grilled fish tacos, but the waitress "strongly suggested" we didn't order them. Umm. Ok. Now i was concerned. I would love to have given this place a little more like 3 stars for their menu and atmosphere but can't after the lack of professionalism I saw from their bartender. Their bartender, Jimmy, really should take a good read on customer service. We witnessed this member of staff belittling a patron who clearly just had a few questions. When confronted by another customer along the bar he called them cheap and to get the f*ck out of his bar. Hard to believe someone so unprofessional could remain in a customer service position that deals directly with the public. I hope this review not only falls on the desk of his manager who clearly needs to take him aside for some training but also is seen by him to show him the repercussions of his actions on how he treats people. I would not recommend this pub as there are better options close by. read more

Excellent food, Cold beer, fast service, and a patio that feels secluded thanks to the landscaping even next to a road. Good atmosphere, no over bearing music and a good open square footage. Menu is limited due to COVID, but is a great spot for lunch/dinner. read more

Never ever ever EVER again. Not only was the food meh, the poor server clearly had not been trained well. There was food splatter on the walls and seats of my booth. It was not a pleasant dining experience. I sent an email to the manager, very polite, from one business person to another and received NOTHING in return. No letter, no apology, no restitution, no nothing. As a business professional I was disgusted and appalled at the lack of professional courtesy. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. A group of 5 or 6 likes to go on sat to have breaky and Belini Bombs. We walked out on Saturday as our drink went from $11 to $14. Now I understand a business has to raise prices to keep up with inflation but 28% is huge. They would of kept us as customers if it was a $1.50 or even $2. So I thought this was just our group's issue until I met a client today and she was saying how she could accept the increase but too often it's not even made properly. It's not slushy and when she asked the manager about increase he said, last owner priced it wrong. Seriously?? Yeah we won't be back. The waitresses are great but the booths are filthy, the food is mediocre and the manager is an ass who doesn't realize in order for a business to survive he should at least pretend he cares. I have been going to the "Fox" since it opened. I must say that in the last few months it has gone downhill. I was there just recently for a hockey game and they didn't even have the sound on...unusual for a place voted best sports bar in MR. The rumoured new menu is still just that...a rumour. There is a new owner so maybe it's an adjustment period. I sure hope it starts to improve. Based solely on the wait staff I would have given this place five stars. Went for lunch last weans they had beef tacos on special. Partner ordered a couple they came with a taco shell n a small amount of beef. That's it no Cheese no lettuce no salsa. I would have sent it back but he's a nice guy. So then a man comes n sits next to us n orders tacos too. He got alt of attention when he sat down. His tacos were filled with cheese lettuce etc. So my partner says to him you have some nice looking tacos all I got was meat nothing else. He replies well u gotta ask for the rest. We asked him if he worked here he replied yes. That's it. Have I ever ordered a taco n got just meat n the tortilla? Not only was it crap this guy could give two shits that we got crap. First of all, this place has so much potential. Great specials, good layout, location is pretty good as well. However, it is run by someone who appears to have absolutely no idea about customer service. The manager's name is Josh, we placed a large takeout order and unfortunately part of the order was wrong. Partially I may add, the rest of the order was fine and actually quite enjoyable. When I called and spoke to Josh that day he stated myself and my colleague's lunches would be replaced as they were the ones that were wrong. As my colleague wasn't hungry at the time he decided to get his later in the week. I had mine replaced and it was very enjoyable. When my colleague decided later in the week to get his replacement lunch, we called Josh and I was told that in fact only one of my lunches had been messed up on the order but he was 'still honoring his end of the deal'. I explained to Josh that as a matter of fact both lunches were wrong and no sooner had I began to explain then I was rudely interrupted by Josh and i quote "no no no don't give me your shit" he said. I was so taken aback that I actually ended up declining and did state that we were no longer interested. We have no need to patronize this place, Josh if you read this you clearly have no idea how to interact with people or own up to your mistakes as a business. Not one paying customer should ever have to deal with that. Swearing at a customer and interrupting them when they speak is the first rule of management no-nos. read more
