    Meat & Cheese board

I guess the first thing that turned us off is, we were seated outside by the street, the noise was deafening and the exhaust smell was nauseating. 1. I think educating your employees on the difference between a service animal and a pet is key! 2. I don't think any of the servers including the bartender has ever gone through Maricopa County Food Handlers course (rubbing their head, pulling at ill fitting shorts at the crouch, rubbing the face and nose. 3. Serving fresh food, (the cheese was so old it was hard as though it sat out a few days, the almonds tasted like rancid oil) 4. Servers should know the ingredients in each dish (in case of allergies) 5. The short rib entree had very little meat; at that price it was expensive bok choy, there is no mention of mushrooms in the description but they are in the dish I HAVE A MUSHROOM ALLERGY. 6. The cooks should know their meat temps, medium should be medium not well done. 7. I get the theme of the place is strange and the stranger the better but when the server is over weight and bulging out the her scant clothes or the shorts are so short you can see pubic hair, it has gone too far. And what is with the unkempt long hair dragging in the food as it is served!! I would say Pass this one up quickly! The value is just not there at all!

We booked a team HH here and sat outside at the patio. We had almost 22 people and the waitress did a great job taking care of us. Food and drinks came quickly for this group size. We ordered a ton of appetizers and everything was yummy. This place is amazing with the size of its outdoor space. It had plenty of seating options, for pita for the winter, ping ping, corn hole. It's a perfect place to gather a group to mix and mingle. After HH, we transferred inside to the bar area to have dinner. The dinner menu had a lot of options. Many of us ordered the Branzino and lasagna. Overall service was friendly and attentive for a group of 10. Unfortunately many of the dishes were too salty but other than that we had a good experience here for the evening.

It's always fun at the yard! I've been a few times and to the Tempe location too! Met up with a group here and we did have to wait a while for a table, but there was a good amount of room at the bar. I got a skinny margarita and a mezcal daiquiri. For my meal my sister and I shared a vegan curry which was really good! My sister thought it was spicy but I didn't think it was too spicy. It is cool in here and I liked the indoor outdoor vibe. Hate the parking and driving in this area but it's worth it for a once in a while thing!

I came here with friends and it wasn't a bad experience but there was also nothing that stood out. My friends and I had a good time just because....it's us! Lol. BUT..... I would come back again just for the social aspect of things. The food was decent but not the best I've had. The drinks were the same. I recommend coming here with friends or family if you're wanting a restaurant that's affordable and good for outdoor games.

    Such amazing teamwork!

We had such a great experience with The Yard. Every time we looked such great help. we finally went in to select our final 3 slabs and had such great customer service from Celine (sp?). She was so friendly, helped us, and one thing that impressed me was just how kind she was to all of her team mates - please and thank yous abound. Something I see very little of anymore! She had a lot of patience with us as we kept looking at multiple slabs! Brett and Raquel

Back to life back to reality.... Escape room with no walls. Adulting with no yard chores. You could probably find a rake and hoe here but won't be expected to use one. Common phrases heard here are "I'd tap that" due to the smoke show selection of beers and draughts available at the flick of a wrist. Plenty of seating on the laps of your friends or even the couches next to a random. If you wanna play with some bags, enjoy some adult beverages, and forget about life..., this is your spot. Party foul for a fun bar like this is that it closes at 11 pm on weeknights...This central Phoenix neighborhood has been yearning for the attention of a bar that can cater to friends who can gather at a central location and have some fun! Word to their Mom.... Advertise week night specials and games and be that place where everyone wants to be. Noone wants to drive to Scottsdale or leave in the middle of a social gathering to another bar after one Two to Mango. YOU can do it, put your customers into it! You've got what it takes to draw a crowd now just figure out how to keep them there... ex: not close at 11 pm during the week and keep the central Phoenix vibe going. Best of luck!

Always fun atmosphere and food. Wish their pretzels were gluten free lol. Love the opportunity to hang outside with kids.

GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

Regardless, we gave it another shot and we were much happier the next go around. Record players in the corner and a fireplace on the opposite side of this dimly lit bar created a cozy vibe on a chilly Saturday night. We arrived right at opening and the bar filled up quickly but the volume still made it easy to have a conversation and still have an intimate night out. The drinks, this time, well balanced and delicious. My wife had the the Pantera Rosa and I had the Last Word. Both were delicious and not overly sweet. I love a good "Last Word" but the tea added a welcome and subtle layer. A nicely created cocktail without shaming the original. Servers were attentive, constantly filling up water, and making sure we were well taken care of. We will be back!
