Stopped by to watch some college football on an early Saturday evening. The place is covered in lights so pretty easy to spot. It looks like an old 70s block construction building, but has been updated on the inside. Sat at the bar, service is fast and friendly. I opted for a local beer, some type of roasted ale. Was tasty. They had a pretty good selection of beers and the menu had quite a few items on it. Was a bit hungry opted for an order of honey hot wings. They were hot crispy and with a little bit of spice. Ambience is incredibly festive lots of Christmas lights and curious things to look at on the walls. Service stole the show our server was amazing and attentive A++ drinks were good as well., have to scan a QR code for the food menu. I was visiting from Florida and looking for some place to eat later in the evening once I landed. This place was only a half a mile away from where I'm staying and was definitely the right move! Being a big disco ball fanatic, when I walked in I immediately saw about five or six spinning in the ceiling! The decor is a lot of fun from the license plates in the ceiling to other fun things on the wall all over the place. The staff was super friendly and made me feel like they've known me for years. Decided to finally try this place Sunday, and watch some football. Had heard alot of positive things about the place. This review is more about a place to watch football and have a few cocktails. Place was very well kept and staff very friendly. Beers were not to expensive, and a very lively crowd, mostly above 35 crowd which was up my alley. I liked that its centrally located on 7 th st south of Camelback close to my VA. Noticed they had a few cool theme nights throughout the week as well. ended up ordering just 2 beers ( 11$) as i couldn't pull the trigger on the food seeing the plates nearby and seeing the prices were a little steep, decided to go to my go to at Wineburger for the 2 nd half of Cards game and get my favorite burger. I have been a regular at this bar for a while, but after my most recent visit, I'm seriously reconsidering coming back. I asked the staff to put on the WNBA Finals -- a simple, reasonable request that others in the bar had also made. Instead of support or even basic decency, I was met with homophobic, and misogynistic comments from another patron -- loudly, and in front of staff, even though I had no prior interaction with this person. What made it worse was the complete silence from the bar staff. Not one person stepped in to shut it down or even acknowledge it. This kind of behavior should never be tolerated, especially in a place that claims to be welcoming to all. If a bar can't stand up for its LGBTQ+ patrons, especially when they're being harassed in plain view, it's not a safe space -- it's just another bar that picks and choo$e$ whose comfort matters. Came in to McKenzie's to watch the diamondbacks game, and have a bite. The service was nice, we picked our own seat and the person who checked our ID at the door brought us water right away while our waitress came. We ordered the But it's a dry heat burger that came with jalapeños which was really good, it had a nice kick to it. We also ordered the honey hot wings which are my favorite by far! The taste is literally what you hope for when you order honey hot. The place is a bit small, I can see it being full or busy on big game days. Good place to watch some sports though. read more

Kim the server was amazing! One of the friendliest staff I've ever met. She welcomed us in for our first time and was attentive even though she was buzzing around the place. This bar is awesome! It's dark in there and has license plates, Xmas lights and fun things on the wall. Plenty of TVs for sports watching. There's even a breathalyzer on the wall just to check yourself before you leave ;) j/k. People like to ride here since it's right off the canal/bike path. We saw motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles parked out front. We were exploring PHX on the canal path doing a scooter ride on our ruckus and monkey. Went here one night last weekend. This is definitely a locals hang out. Brightly lit up with colorful lights and decorated with old license plates from all over. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Most importantly they had a sour among other tasty options for both food and beer. My boyfriend and I IPA. We decided to eat, I chose a cheeseburger. The bartender asked how I wanted my burger cooked, pink or no pink. I like mine between moo-ing and moaning, so pink was perfect. I must admit my bottom bread was a bit hard, but other than that it was good. My boyfriend also chose a burger and he had no complaints. The bar had 90's music trivia going on. I was looking for a bar to go to on new year's day and this Tavern popped up and it was listed under dive bars Lol. I don't mind dive bars & this bar certainly did not disappoint, the service was very impressive we had a group of 5 then ended up with 7 people at our table & our glasses were never empty. They have a band/karaoke which was different it's a challenge for the band to follow along while you sing vice versa. That was the first time I had sang with a live band not sure how I feel about it cuz it was challenging. I will definitely be coming back next time we are in PHX, they have good food & biscuits & gravy with delicious potatoes with 2 eggs any style are served all day as a breakfast option. They also have homemade beef jerky spicy and non spicy which was the best option due to the fact the spicy jerky was way over the top too spicy for me. The decorations were nostalgic over the top, and well done. They had a good selection of beers on tap along with beer specials look on the chalk board for the offer of the day or ask your waiter/waitress.
