It's really an arcade with an adjacent restaurant. Therefore the ambiance isn't really helping the restaurant part; rather noisy. The menu is, as one would expect, focussed on fast food. We had to wait quite a bit for our order to be taken and delivered. The waitress - Keleez - was very friendly, attentive and helped us to understand the whole concept, shout out to her! Food wise I can highly recommend the chicken wings with smoked chipotle bbq and the Habanero Margarita (spicy!). read more

Came here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. It was really busy in the dining area and obviously in the gaming area as well. Drinks were good but as for food it was okay. I got the nachos and 8 wings. The nacho was disappointing. It was loaded with too much sauces, which 80% of the chips were soggy. It was poorly put together, I understand it was busy but please have the guac and salsa on the side. On the bright side the honey lime wings was really good. We dropped by around lunch time on a Saturday afternoon to kill off some times and it was a lot of fun. I love those simple carnival games that doesn't require too much skills because I am not really good in video games. The arcade area as mentioned by other reviewers packed too many machines in a small area. I can imagine how uncomfortable this can get if the place is crowded. I didn't eat or drink here so cannot comment on the food. The patio is nicely set up with the great view of CN Tower and the Toronto downtown landscape. Disappointing. Heard great things. Made a reservation a week or two earlier. On arrival, they try to squeeze us into a four-person table telling us it's made for six. Meanwhile,I look around at every other similar table and there are only four people at each with the exception of one that had six people (right beside us); this one had an extension on it!! After I asked a few times for a 6-person so we could be comfortable, they proceeded to move us to a "6-person table" - IT WAS THE SAME SIZE. We had two people sitting in the aisle. I'm not sure what was worse. Not fulfilling a reservation for six made well ahead of time or treating us like we were morons and wouldn't notice that the second table was the same size. The service was okay, but slow. They lost/forgot our first drink order for which we waited for 20 minutes. The food wasn't special, and you can find similar or better at any other pub in town. The Rec Room is always a bittersweet experience. It brings a much needed "thing to do" to the Downtown Core. For those that don't know, it's basically Cineplex's version of Dave & Busters, but more corporate, and nicer. The Rec Room is always packed, and it doesn't help that they squish all the games into a really tight midway. Seriously, there's no way for you to walk through the midway without bumping a kid or two. The food is pricey, but decent. The complimentary Cineplex popcorn is a nice touch and always serves the role of an appetizer for me. Drinks aren't too bad either; in fact, my friend complained that our Rum and Cokes had 'too much' alcohol...usually, people complain that there's too much Coke! A pet peeve of mine, every time I come here, is that they seem to open and close coat check whenever they feel like it, even if there's plenty of room for more coats. read more

Plenty of games to keep you busy but our event was in the large area at the back. There was a stage with a band and dancers, several food stalls everywhere and a large bar on the elevated level. I can't comment on their food as our event had food from various restaurants around the GTA. Friends and I found ourselves at Steam Whistle Saturday afternoon and had a couple of more hours to kill before our next activity... Enter The Rec Room! It's located right next to the brewery and seemed like a great spot to have a little more fun. Upon entering, we dropped off jackets and filled up a card with money to play games. The next step was the bar which was quite big. We grabbed draft beers and then went to town on games of all sort. Skeeball, pinball, air hockey, racing... There were a bunch and it took awhile to blow through our $20. We weren't in it for tickets but managed to rack some up and walked out with a silly little toy. This spot is good for all ages and I surprisingly saw a good amount of adults here sans kids, so you don't have to worry too much about tripping over small children (but a little!). There's a large restaurant section, as well as a fast casual window to order some food. All in all, this was a fun way to spend a couple of hours! The problem is the restaurant Three10. The food is third-grade. The nachos were bad. The fish tacos were inedible. Easily the worst fish tacos I had in a long time. Mac and cheese dish had a long piece of hair that the diner gagged on. To make things worse the service is bad. We were not allowed to leave to play some of the arcade games and then come back despite the fact that the food took a long time to arrive. They need to fix this mess of a kitchen. read more

A restaurant, arcade and lounge all rolled up into one location. They do a decent job of it, but nothing truly excels to make you consider it over other businesses in either field. We were invited by a family friend to celebrate a birthday at the Rec Room. I've heard of the place and what it offered but never really had a chance to go until now. The Rec Room is located just across the Skydome (It will always be Skydome to me). As such they don't have their own parking, which is sort of understandable considering it is downtown. However, because of it's proximity to Skydome and Scotiabank arena, if there is a sporting event happening during the time you're there, expect the parking lots to jack up their prices a little/a lot. The Leafs were playing the day we were there in the evening. Luckily our party was for the afternoon. The parking lot we chose was $12 until 6pm. When we were leaving the prices were jacked up to $30 for the leaf game. Something to be aware of. As I mentioned before, the Rec Room consist of 2 restaurants, an arcade and a lounge. Our party was in the restaurant and arcade sections for the most part. - The restaurant: The food for the most part was decent. Expect to spend about $30 on food alone. There's a kids menu at $12 which was probably the best value if you ask me. The food gets the job done is the best way I can put it. My wife got the salmon and as you can see from the pics, it's on the smaller side. - The arcade: I'm a gamer so the arcade part was the main attraction for me. The arcade runs like a Playdium or Dave and Busters. You purchase tokens on a card or wristband and you play the games using those tokens. In terms of game selection, I found it a bit lacking here as a gamer. There were far too many reward games that literally last less than 30 seconds. They had about 10 true arcade games here that you could play with a group of friends at the same time. The reward games also cost a lot token wise. One of the kids at the party burned through 200 tokens (About $30) in less than 10 minutes. I've gotten a whole days worth of fun on $30 at Playdium and Dave and Busters. The best part of the Rec Room is the staff. They were all friendly and super helpful throughout our visit. They have a free coat check which is super convenient because of the kids. Our waitress was amazing. She was serving 2 other large tables as well as ours and she was on the ball all day. She made our visit. The Rec Room is a jack of all trades but unfortunately doesn't excel at any one thing. If you're in the downtown core, it's worth a try. This is my first and only Google review. I had one of the worst experiences dining in my entire life at the Rec Room tonight. I ordered the "Jamaican Cheeseburger" and it arrived with almost no meat in it. I requested that the employee check it and they brought it back to another worker, who was sweeping the floor. The other worker puts down the broom they were holding and full-fistedly moves the contents of my sandwich with their bare (ungloved) hands. Then, the first employee folds the sandwich back and attempted to re-serve me the sandwich. When I declined to accept it after what I had witnessed, they offered to make me a replacement. After over half an hour, the sandwich was never assembled, so I requested a refund. The supervisor took several minutes to come over and ended up refunding me $2 less than I had paid. Effectively, they robbed me of my time, $2, and still did not serve me food. This is truly unacceptable business and I cannot believe this is tolerated. read more

I'm the customer, you shouldn't be letting me see how the sausage is made. Next time, please just seat me and my party, bring us some water, and tell us that someone will be over to take our order shortly, rather than have us stand around twiddling our thumbs. Food was mostly tasty, but the cheese on the nachos was liquidy rather than thick. Most people have a certain basic expectation when it comes to nachos. It's on the pricier side too, for instance, $14/ 6 wings, $15/ burger, $23/ rotisserie chicken. The taste is decent. The wings are bigger than your typical Wild Wings size. The Fried are thick cut. They have the water activated hot towels tablet. Also they have an outdoor ping pong table. There's patio seating so that's not bad. Plus you can gain Scene Points from your meal. Went here for my birthday with a reservation for 12 people. The process of booking was stressful since they reiterated many times that they would not seat us unless we had 75% of the party present. The day of several friends were stuck in traffic delays so I was freaking out but they ended up seating my 3 friends that arrived early anyways so unnecessary stress was caused for nothing??? Food wise I ordered the butchers daughter pizza from the regular menu and the salmon eggs Benedict from the brunch menu. Would not recommend the pizza - lotta dough, not enough toppings. The eggs Benedict was salty but a good enough meal. The presentation of the food is nice! My friend ordered an eggs florentine and it came in its own little skillet. Overall food was decent. And if you dine in then you can purchase a $10 game wristband for $5. Now onto the games! The games are cheap and the prizes are fun but the selection is too small to enjoy spending more than an hour or two here tops. To play games you purchase a wristband. Game credits are placed on it and you tap a machine with your wristband to play. There are some kinks with this since some machines were wonky when tapped which led to tapping twice and paying twice for the game by accident! This actually happened several times with my friends. I do like that we have e-tickets on the wristband but you do lose that thrill of holding a hundred tickets. :) They have a VR where you move around in (friend described it like an obstacle course almost). May try it next time, $24/per person. TLDR: food is decent, dine in for discounted $5 game wristband from $10. Games cheap but small selection. Reservation process is stressful. Came for a fun night with friends after lockdown on a Tuesday night. There were only a few people there, maybe 10 in the whole place. Before we even sat down anywhere, the manager was argumentative and told us we couldn't go back and forth between the open dining area and the arcade section. We understood this rule but the manager said we could only come back to the dining area "if there was space", the place was empty. We told her the place was empty and she said maybe we could come back to the restaurant area to eat later. Figuring we'd try it anyways we sat down to have a drink first and the server left us to take the orders of a table that came in after us, and we couldn't get someone to acknowledge us. It took them forever to take our order despite being a large table in a basically empty restaurant. Then they over-charged me for my arcade wristband by $10 and accused me of trying to walk out on my bill that I had been waiting to pay for 30 minutes so I could get my wristband for the arcade games. ; TLDR on the Three10 Restaurant: It's very decent, the staff is friendly, although a little short, and it's a nice place to have a relaxing time. We had the **wings** as an appetizer, and I must say that the chipotle sauce is exquisite. The wings are well cooked, well seasoned, and crispy. So overall, this is a solid start. The rest of the meal was great as well. The **Three10 burger** is most likely their signature dish, and it's a good burger with a nice char. I would have liked the cheese a little more melted, but the brioche bun is a solid addition. The **ABC burger** is supposed to be a bit fancier, and the combination of goat cheese and guacamole works well. However, I found the burger too thin. The **pizza Margherita** is delicious if you're into that. The dough is chewy and thin, the cheese cooked well. However, be warned, it's on the saucy side of things. I liked it and thought the ratio of sauce-cheese-dough was right on the money, but your mileage may vary. Finally, the **mac and cheese** is an excellent option if you have kids or crave it. It's more on the creamy side. Just don't expect a fancy panko crust on the top or three kinds of cheeses. It's a straightforward dish. Overall, I think the restaurant is underrated. It's an arcade. People go to play pool, foosball, shoot at a screen, and drive a racing car. If you're hungry or thirsty, the Three10 is a good place. If you're looking for a Michelin star restaurant, the wow factor, or a dish to Instagram, look elsewhere. Another word of advice: book in advance. COVID restrictions limit space. Finally went to the Rec Room Downtown Toronto for my nephew's 6th birthday. My honest opinion overall it was...eh...okay. When we walked in the place looked big however when we finally got a chance to walk around the aisles were a little small and there weren't as many games as I hoped. However there was a large dinning area. We went for a Saturday lunch around 1:30ish. There was plenty of seating however we still had to wait for a seat. When were were seated we waited quite sometime to for our waiter to attend to us. It was a little disappointing seen as how there weren't a lot of people eating at that time. When we ordered our food, it again took quite some time to arrive. For our lunch we ordered a Cobb Salad, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Large Pretzel, Ceasar Salad, Salmon and Avocado Sandwich, Calamari and Stacked Taco Chips to share. The food was just okay. The best thing I enjoyed the most was the real large pieces of bacon in the salad....yummm it was delicious. Otherwise, nothing special about our food. I guess this is mainly just a place to have some drinks and chat. There were some TVs around but not large TVs. This was probably the coolest game bar I have been to. For Americans, I would compare it to a Dave & Busters, but a little more upscale. They definitely cater more to the food and beverage side, and the place was HUGE! We came here after dinner, so we didn't try out any of their food menu. I did take a peak at it, and saw that they do have a lot of options. The place was also very busy, and people seemed to be really enjoying their meals. We stopped at the bar and grabbed a drink, and then took our second one with us as we explored the game section. They had A TON of different games to choose from, so we decided to buy some credits and have fun!! You get a bracelet that keeps track of how many credits you have, and you can also reload them at any time. We stayed for a couple of hours, and then cashed in our winnings for a prize at the shop on the way out. They have some pretty cool prizes, but we weren't THAT good, and settled for a bath bomb lol. The Rec Room is located at the most western part of the historical train roundhouse on the south side of Brenmer between Rees and Simcoe across the street from the Ripley's aquarium. I've never been to Steam Whistle and I've never been to the Rec Room. In fact I barely have been on the grounds where all those small trains have been on the southside of Brenmer so I really had no idea of this place. One of my friends decided to host a little get together at the Rec Room for the Superbowl so it was my first time and the place is really kind of cool. It reminds me sort of a Dave and Busters and for the downtown core, this place has an absolutely huge footprint. While there's multiple dining areas, a large dedicated game watching area and an arcade with a tickets rewards system it very well is like a grown up version of Chuck E Cheese. The games are accessed via wristbands which are loaded near the main entrance with a variety of pricing for credits. Games have different pricing so the Indy simulator takes something like 20 credits (equivalent to 5 bucks on the lowest plan) and some only take 5 or so. Basically these coin up type games are all revenue connected via their pay system network so there's no actual money required at the games themselves, just the wristband swipe to deduct credits to play the games. The games are quite contemporary as well. Higher def screens, up to date games and the kind of games you won't see or play on a home console type system. Other games of chance are the kind of games where an accumulation of tickets are traded for prizes at the redemption store. Such prizes as Pops (the collectables), candy and other toys are available. The food varies from sharable appetizers to sandwiches, pizzas and even entrees like steak etc. The drink menu also has a variety of cocktails beyond just beer and wine. The area we were seated in was an area near the back but to the side so we didn't have a view of the super large projection screen but we had our own little boardroom type table with a large screen. The back side room had about 6 of these set ups. The food was good. I had ordered the 310 burger which was a double burger and I added cheese and bacon. The fries were fresh cut. I liked the food but it wasn't cheap but it certainly wasn't poor quality. A 60oz pitcher of Goose Island was 26 which wasn't outrageously priced. I had a good time at the Rec Room and it's certainly a great place to have a get together especially it if involves game night for any sport. At the risk of sounding basic, I was pleasantly surprised by the Rec Room. Right off the bat, they have a terrific location going for them being situated by Rogers Centre and inside the old Roundhouse. It's very nice inside and also massive. The layout effectively has three areas: 1) video games closest to the entrance 2) general dinning area in the centre 3) Big screen with stadium seating at the back. On video games alone, it might just be a '3'. There's still quite a good number of games, but it could be far better if they didn't have so many ones solely focused on winning tokens. I'm not even just talking about skeet ball (which is classic), but probably two dozen games that have little to do beyond luck and hoping to win a jackpot - basically glorified slot machines. The event area in the back was quite impressive and the projector screen was massive. There are also seating areas off to the side a bit out of the action and not facing the main screen. Each table is paired with a fairly standard size screen. It would be fine depending on what someone was looking for, though that didn't seem to be clearly communicated to our group in advance as we thought we'd be facing the big screen. I was really impressed by the food. That was in due part that I had low expectations, but all things equal, the food all seems to be prepared fresh and not "fresh out of the freezer". I even thought the value was pretty good considering it's location. IMO, they do better than a lot of the other chain restaurants in the downtown core and even some other stand-alone locations. The place was a little hard to find as it was pure chaos when you come through the main entrance. Once you make it through the arcade/Dave and Buster-ish part of the place you'll find the restaurant tucked back in a corner just past the bar. We were sat right away and told we had the table for 1.5 hours. We were one of 5 tables that were seated at the time so we didn't think time would be an issue anyway. We ordered a kids pizza, a spicy chicken sandwich and a burger. The spicy chicken sandwich was good, I got the sauce on the side and thank god I did bc I was not a fan at all. It's not a buffalo type sauce, more of a glaze (pictured) but there was something in the sauce that I did not like at all. Caesar salads were really good, fries could have been cooked a little longer (or maybe they sat in the window too long after being cooked?) but they were kindof soggy. My husband really enjoyed his burger. Waitress was friendly but admitted she was new. She didn't stop by the table at all after we got our food so we had to stop another waitress to get utensils and napkins, and by the time she returned we were ready for the check. An interesting concept in a great location by the CN tower, the Skydome, and a short walk from Union. There are a variety of arcade games on one side, a full functioning restaurant on the other and a snack bar if you don't want to sit down for your meal. A fun way to kill a couple hours of time or just to grab a meal (although it does get noisy being so close to the games). I had the fire-roasted veggie wrap which was okay but not that interesting. Service was very nice and friendly. However, we were in a group of 6 and it took a noticeable long while for the food to be brought out. Even then, one of my friends had to wait even longer for her plate. Also, when our food finally came, they gave us a small bag of popcorn which would have made ALOT more sense when we were still waiting for our order. read more
