Drove all the way from NW Fresno to have breakfast. Ordered from the Senior menu thinking smaller portions (as in most places) for a lesser price. How wrong.More than we could eat, Chili Verde omelet was fantastic. Well worth the drive. servers were attentive and professional. The owner stopped by to chat and thanked us for coming. They placed us outside to eat which kinda sucked because I wanted my daughter to see the train go around us while we ate :( and her little cheeks got red from being outside. Breakfast burrito was a bit slimy. Also ordered a bacon breakfast burrito, I'm not sure it it was a mistake or if the cook was lazy (I know what it's like to work in a kitchen you barely care about during a rush) but they filled it with mostly sausage and a little bacon. read more

First time there. I called ahead to order a breakfast burrito. The price on Yelp was $7, but when they rang it up, it was $11. I asked and they said the Yelp prices were outdated. The burrito was good and hot. Tastes like what I make at home when I have the time, but theirs had less flavor. I'd eat it again in a pinch, but I probably wouldn't seek it out. A very nice restaurant tucked away in the plains of the eastern San Joaquin Valley east of Clovis. Intimate but roomy. The menu is large, and beer and wine is served. Sort of remote but it is a good place to eat. Have come half a dozen times and is constantly pretty good. If they are busy on the weekend, they are still efficient in getting people in, fed and out. Very good service. I believe the owner is on site and rolls around as needed. He has a good sense of humor too. I have have great hamburgers and also good breakfast items. Reminds me of my favorite aunts house when I visited as a kid. There's always something else to look at and examine. Each time you visit you see something new. I swear I could watch the train circle the room for hours. The staff always treats me right, and I've never had a bad experience with them. They produce excellent country cooking, with generous portions. And the price is very much reasonable, so you can afford taking your whole family. I got a Philly cheesesteak. It was perfect. I can't think of a better one ever and the fries were great.

Walked in with a reservation of 7. The waitress looked at us like we don't belong there(Asian family). She offered us a table with 5 seats. We told her we have a group of 7, she told us we had to wait extremely rudely then left us standing there. Everyone in the cafe just stared at us as we stood at the front. The service here was horrible. The first time we put our name down, the owner said it would be a 10 minute wait. We waited outside for 30 minutes and didn't hear our name so then we waited inside. Another 10 minutes went by and the owner said he moved us up the list. He started seating people that came after us so we decided to leave. It was a huge waste of time. I got the breakfast burrito, it was one of the worst burritos I have ever had. No flavor AT ALL. I even found what looked like egg shells in my burrito, it was hard and grainy. I did not finish it. My finacee got the Eggs Benedict, and again, by far, the worst thing she has ever eaten. Hollandaise should not be sweet, it should not be starchy and flavorless. The eggs were over cooked. We also ordered pancakes, again, no flavor and it was basically like rubber. I would not come back here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. Don't waste your 30-40 minute drive. read more

Heard good things about this restaurant so we decided to try on an early Sunday morning. Husband ordered pancakes and said they were OK. I ordered my favorite "breakfast out meal" the biscuits and gravy. No flavor whatsoever! Added Tabasco sauce and salt just so I could eat. I asked for the bacon to be chrispy, chrispy CHRISPY and it arrived about medium.Even before we got home, a 10 minute drive, my stomach was revolting. Will be trying the Blossom Trail Cafe next as we heard that is the place to go and they always have a full parking lot! read more

Decided to order a pizza here because the In Laws live close by but it was definitely not worth it. I'll drive 20 minutes out if it means I'll get acknowledged and good service. Having placed my order ahead of time, I arrived and waited over 5 minutes before someone even stopped to ask what I wanted. It seemed like the staff was bothered to interact with me, including the old man that rang me up for my food. He threw my card & receipt towards me to sign & didn't even say anything as I left. I've never felt so out of place in an establishment as I did here. Wish I could say the pizza was worth it but for the size (Large) and price it was not. read more
