Frank and Rhiannon's passion for great food is unmistakable as the new owners of Harvest Garden. This was our first visit, and we ordered the hummus and chicken gyro--an absolute explosion of flavor. We live out of the area but work up here 2x a month and have been curious about this cute little country cafe. Finally made the time to stop in and so happy we did. It will definitely be a go to spot when we come back through. We enjoyed the French Dip and although there are no complaints, we can't wait to try the gyro and acclaimed burger. We went there on a Friday afternoon around 3ish. We were told to sit down and they would be with us shortly. There were 2 other customers there at the time. After 10 minutes of being ignored we chose to get up and leave. It could have been racial, or it could be that they can't handle more than 2 customers at a time. Either way it's not good. read more

These new owners however, have a new menu and tonight I tried it for the first time since switching owners. I ordered a Goat Burger: Mixed Greens were fresh, Applewood smoked bacon added that crunchy lightly salted taste and the raspberry jalapeño jam sent it over the edge. The pita chips and garlic sauce as a side was great. I ordered a cup of chicken and dumplings soup that took me back to my childhood. Hot soup on a cold day..... This place is worth it. Frank is a fantastic cook and warm people-person. His wife, when taking our order, asked if we wanted water (we said yes) then unexpectedly brought us 5 bottles and added $10 to our $92 bill. Athena! We were on our way to Yosemite and made a quick pit stop for a bite and we couldn't be happier that we did. From the moment we walked in, the place radiated positivity. Athena greeted us, sat us, took her time walking us through the menu, and made us feel right at home. Rich, who took our order, brought a fun energy and a great sense of humor to the experience! We tried the Peach Mango smoothie, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced and the Chicken Nachos, which were different and absolutely delicious. But beyond the great food, it was the incredible service and genuine interaction that truly stood out. After finding out it was my birthday, Athena insisted on giving me a gift before we left. Very comfortable little coffee shop with excellent healthy food and friendly people, as long as you're comfortable with a little wait! Harvest Garden is brand new and seems to be going through some small growing pains but I can absolutely see the potential here. There is a very homey coffee shop ambience with warm wood and kitschy art decorations around. The mismatched furniture gives the place character, with autographed guitars hanging and a small thrift store in the corner! The food is very healthy and fresh tasting, we really wanted to try a burger but they were out of ground beef. The breakfast burritos were all very good, and my quesadilla while somewhat unconventional was also fresh and good, the steak very flavorful. We had some coffee while we waited, and my Americano was smooth and flavorful, rarely do I drink coffee black but I drank this one black! We had a couple of Mochas which were also excellent with the perfect amount of sweetness. All in all we will definitely be coming back, the constructive criticism I would direct at the owner is there really needs to be salt on the tables, there should also be a coffee station for mixing cream and sweetener/sugar yourself, maybe in the corner with the water. Some wait help would be welcome as well but the tight quarters make this difficult. Looking forward to coming back! read more

We've eaten here several times now, and this place is absolutely wonderful. What makes it even more memorable is the cozy, home-like décor. It feels as if you're sitting in someone's living room or kitchen, chatting with the person who owns the place--and in a way, you are. The owners, Frankie and Riannen, along with their daughter Sydney, run the café together. The girls serve, and Dad cooks. It's friendly, warm, and personal. The food is great, the atmosphere is inviting, and the whole experience feels like discovering a true little gem. Honestly, part of me doesn't even want to write this review because I don't want long lines or to need reservations the next time I come. But they deserve the praise. They took over this spot, completely cleaned it up, remodeled it, and turned it into a charming, comfortable place to enjoy a meal, grab a coffee, or warm up with a bowl of soup on a cold day. Their prices are fair and reasonable--they're not trying to overcharge anyone. Great atmosphere, great food, great prices, and great owners. I highly recommend this place. read more

We were driving back from camping in yosemite and decided to stop at a random cafe and it was so worth it! the aesthetics were sooo cute, food was great, and service was quick and personal! The cafe itself seems to be part thrift store and it was decorated in this mismatched, cute, cozy way. We honestly had fun spotting everything used as decoration (signed guitars, stuffed animals, fun signs, etc) We ordered an Iced Latte, an Iced Mocha, an Artichoke Chicken Wrap, and a Vegetarian Quesadilla. The service was fast and the presentation of the food was so cute! The food itself was delicious, and it was nice to have vegetarian options available. This wonderful little place and their proprietors are delightful. Though they have not yet started to serve food ,I have been in there for smoothies and coffee. It is an extremely pleasing and homey feel and their menu items range from hummus to tacos and wonderful sounding sandwiches nachos and a lot more. They are here formerly from the Monterey Peninsula. One of the owners formerly w CBS had a thriving business there for many years. The owners Athena and Richard are very welcoming and gracious, and you can tell this is going to be totally hands-on. We ate here for the first time today, and it is just wonderful! The owners are very welcoming and Athena took the time to go over the menu with us and point us to some favorites. We had the salmon burger(2), shredded pork quesadilla, coconut/pineapple smoothie, peach/mango smoothie, and the mixed berry smoothie. The salmon burgers are delicious, a good-sized patty with onions, tomato, cucumbers, and lettuce. They came with chips drizzled with the house-made garlic sauce which is so good we bought a bottle to take home. There was also a little bed of lettuce with "salsa", black beans, cucumber, and tomatoes, all fresh. The shredded pork quesadilla was large and stuffed full of port, cheese and onions. Same on the side, chips with sauce and the "salsa". The smoothies are perfect and made with creamy oat milk, fresh fruits and vegan whipped topping (you wouldn't know it from the taste).
