Staff: very friendly and attentive, hearing stories about how long someone has been coming in. The shave: everyone does things a little different but at a 50 dollar shave before tip I didn't expect to be out of the chair in 18 minutes. I did ask not to go up on the cheeks do to sensitivity but down and sideways was fine and told him he could go up when under the chin. When I was done he said going sideways was the same as going up so he ONLY went down. I still felt stubble under the chin but like I said, everyone does things differently. Overall: the cashier and owner were great, when she heard I wasn't completely satisfied they offered me a gift card to come back to the owner for a shave but I wouldn't do that to his son who sits behind him. When you are waiting for a hair cut, it's like you're there at someone's house with the family all around. Everyone seems to know each other, and Anthony is like a father or teacher to a lot of the kids. He's always conversational and insightful! Let's not forget he cuts great hair. He is a master with fades and has done my pomp fade justice every time. He is very fairly priced for the area, about $27 for full men's hair cut. A clean up and shave/beard trim is only about $10 which is pretty nice if that's your style. Only downside is it gets BUSY sometimes. He's the man and he runs the shop. If there are 3 people ahead of you, it might take an hour to get to you. And the problem is you don't really know, with all the people just kind of hanging out, whether everyone is there to get their hair cut. It's kind of confusing, and sometimes you just have to ask people if they are there to get a haircut. Which is at times a bit awkward, though. You can make appointments online through a third-party site called mytime.com but it's extra $$ to do that (like $35 instead of $27 I believe). All in all, excellent barber and I'll certainly keep going.

First, they were almost on-time (I waited less than 10 mins after entering the salon and considering the fluidity of the process they were great). Mark cut my hair and the colorist (whose name I cannot recall - chalk it up to my old age!!) handled the dye process. The cut was well done - I only wish I had asked him to take a bit more off the top - which I mentioned on my way out and he offered to put me back in the chair on the spot but I declined - I wanted to test-drive his work to see how I felt. Then the colorist took over. I wanted the darkest blue dye job they could offer. They covered ALL the bases - all the way down to how my color would process as all my hair is white except for the back of my head which is medium grey, meaning that there would be different shade of blue, based on the existing color. I think they noted this so that if I wanted it to be uniform I would need to start with a bleaching. This was not needed as I was fine with the color this first time, but once again, they were keenly focused on customer satisfaction. The dye job turned-out to be a bit lighter than I had hoped-for, but because we had discussed it beforehand I was not surprised and was (am) satisfied with the outcome. I was also told that if I wanted a deeper blue I could return in 2-3 weeks and do another round of color which would further deepen the tone. In the end I tipped each 20-25% tip on half the total charge. Were I not disabled and retired I would've tipped a bit more, as each took very good care of me. So, long story short, the salon was great and the service was great, not only because they did a great job (which both certainly did) but moreover because they made it clear that they wanted to ensure that, and every point between my arrival and my departure, I had the best customer experience they could possibly offer...and at that they succeeded 100%!! I will DEFINITELY be returning in the future and they fully have my complete recommendation to others looking for great hair care and a Grade-A customer service experience!!

Justin was very nice and personable. He had advice on hairstyling tips that no one else has offered me before. He did a great job of communicating what he was doing and why. If you're working towards a hairstyle, he's determined to get you where you want to be. The entire shop seems to truly care about their customers. I'd definitely recommend scheduling an appointment for their shop. Great quality of care and friendly staff all for a good price.
