He is a consummate professional and one of the hardest working people I have ever met in my life, who makes this look easy (doing music professionally). The only people who would leave a negative review are posers and reverse-shills. Having worked with Frank in nearly every facet, short of being taught how to play drums (I have taught with him though for years), it goes without saying for me, that he is worth every star I just gave him, because that is what he is: a star and a sun. If you don't believe that as well, it is because you reside in the shadows, where you belong. A bright star casts a dark shadow, and there you are. Frank has played on many of my songs and has recorded and engineered on more songs than I can count well beyond my meager contribution to music as an art form. You don't need to take my word for it. Try him yourself, and then one will not be speaking from a place of ignorance, in the shadows.

I took my upright bass in for an emergency "buzzing noise" repair that was driving me and everyone…read morearound me crazy. I saw that the fingerboard was coming separated from the neck and showed them how I could take a 3x5 card and slip it under the fingerboard and out the other side. In my head this was going to be an expensive repair but after 40+ years of ownership and Lord only knows what it went through before I owned it, it was due for something major to go wrong. They looked at it and found the wood was separating at the bottom by the peg hole to the point that one section was laying on top of the other section and creating the buzzing noise. They promptly reglued the pieces properly, charged me $50, and out the door I went, a happy camper! I thank the staff at Bellflower Music for being competent and trustworthy; they earned my business and I will recommend them to other musicians as needed. They also have a ton of second hand guitar and bass amps, PA heads, speaker cabinets of all sorts, sheet music, brass & woodwind instruments everywhere inside. They are a traditional old school music store, not a flashy Guitar Center or Sam Ash styled music center. It was well worth the visit over there.

Instead of jumping straight into recommendations or upselling, he immediately tried to fix it on the spot. Once he confirmed it was repairable, he quickly cut the string, replaced the tuner, and got everything back in place. The whole process took less than 10 minutes! I live in Carson, so driving out to Lakewood and getting it fixed the same day was such a relief. This guitar isn't for professional use--it's for my daughter who's just starting to learn--so having it ready right away saved me a lot of time and hassle. He even tuned it by ear in seconds, which was really impressive. Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience.
