During our consult in which we agreed on a certain time, she made up an excuse of her being on pain meds and tried to reschedule our appointment. Also you should read through the contract CAREFULLY. I tried to cancel even before we did our consult and she stated she didn't do any refunds even before we started any type of service. Also any pediatrician will advise you not to do any type of sleep training before 6 months. I told her I wanted to keep at least 1 night feed. She said if I chose to do that she would workout a plan in which I could do so. But during what was SUPPOSE TO BE our consult, she said she wouldn't work with us unless we cut night feeds, for our FOUR MONTH OLD. There are so many other options and sleep consultants that actually care about you as a parents and your child. Do not choose her. I was FORTUNATELY able to get my money back by filing a claim against her.

I contacted Rochel because my baby would wake up at night frequently and wouldn't nap…read moreindependently. I was given a very specific, 2hr schedule for a 4mo baby that was clearly unrealistic. We were texting back-and-forth which I appreciate - she was trying to be supportive. However, my baby was absolutely miserable and nothing in that schedule was personalized based on what we talked about. When I voiced my concerns, I was encouraged to stick to the plan and nothing was adjusted. I was told that my baby is in a "learning mode". My baby was supposed to fit the schedule instead of the schedule fitting her. I didn't want to continue the training so I just stopped texting any updates and contacted someone else and started a different method which worked for us amazingly. I never even wanted to put my baby on a schedule and after the training I never did. I was told by Rochel that it is necessary, but now she sleeps independently on her own all night and all her naps. Also, Rochel encouraged giving my daughter a lovey which our pediatrician told me not to do because it's a suffocation risk. I expressed how anxious I am about it because it did end up on my daughter's face one time and she told me it is 100% safe and breathable. Now I see a post on her IG about safe sleep rules and one of them is not having anything in the crib... If you're a sleep deprived your mom that is desperate for help, please know that there is no universal method. If it doesn't feel right, just listen to your intuition and try something else.

My husband and I felt confident the ferber method was safe and effective but it was nice to have an expert, in our home to help further assure us this was the best way forward. And considering our child cried so much regardless, it was a pretty smooth transition and worked really well. My feedback for Lacey is two things. One, I would encourage her to design her documents to be more personalized for each client. Anyone can google or even ChatGPT the ferber method, but clients are looking for an elevated experience when hiring a personal expert. It would be nice to have documents that are personalized to my conversations, issues or even use my child's name. if that's too much work, I suggest to have 2 versions of the documents; one for "she" and one for "he." The second is about communication and follow up. Lacey mentioned in person, and in emails to "feel free to reach out with any questions at anytime!" and that bumps along the way can happen so she encouraged us to always reach out to her. Well, I did, several times and never got a response. I don't know why or what happened - did I misunderstand the offer? was it just a empty platitude? was I de-prioritized for her higher tiered clients? - But it left an uneasy feeling in my gut, considering I was reaching out during a couple very difficult sleep regressions and I was (at those moments) parenting alone and in desperate need of guidance. If it was my misunderstanding about her boundaries with clients after the initial services have ended, then my feedback is to make it clear when communication is completed and not to offer any "niceties." Overall Lacey is a well trained, deeply experienced and lovely personality for sleep training services. With some adjustments in communication effectiveness, I would recommend her.

But once we started, we started having a lot of issues with naps, early wake ups, a lot of things running into feedings. I kept trying to explain to her the issues that we were having, and it would take her a very long time to respond. He went from sleeping decently well, to sleeping horrendously these last couple of weeks. She said a lot of it was to be expected, but had no real suggestions on how to fix it. When I would message her on WhatsApp, it would take hours for responses or I wouldn't even get a response. The Ferber like method she uses work just fine. My baby was actually very much ready to be put down by himself without any sort of assistance. So that was never the issue. He was falling asleep with little to no check ins from day one. I recommend looking into figuring out how your baby is going to respond to sleep training/you teaching them how to self soothe on your own. You can ask ChatGPT and even upload your logs from whatever app you're using and it will give you a very helpful response. I use huckleberry. So that and chatgpt was way more helpful than a sleep consultant. I am not sold on this at all. A lot of money wasted, imo.

Out of desperation, we hired a sleep consultant (not through Pam Neese) and had an absolutely HORRIFIC experience. I was so put off by sleep consultants. But then after another couple miserable sleepless weeks, my boyfriend found Pam Nease Sleep.  We worked with Sophie and I cannot speak highly enough of her. After a horrible first experience with a sleep consultant, she blew me away with her attentiveness, thoughtfulness and dedication to helping restore our family. She was with us every step of the way, answered all of my questions thoroughly and even helped with things I didn't think of. And contrary to what I originally thought, the phone calls were sooo valuable! I needed that support and reassurance. Now at first, I couldn't believe the price and thought there is NOOO way we are paying so much for a sleep consultant- ridiculous!! But let me tell you, you get what you pay for and the service they off at the level they offer it at is worth SO MUCH MORE! This is coming from someone who was totally against sleep training and thought the $300 I paid the other consultant was too much. Ha!  Sleep training was not easy- it was a Rollercoaster of emotions and bad nights. I hated it to be honest. But I would do it again (only with the help of Sophie though lol)! Because now our son sleeps through the night, takes long naps consistently and is back to being the happiest baby alive. (It turns out sleep training doesn't ruin your baby or your relationship with your baby!!) We literally…read moretried every single trick in the book (co-sleeping, sitting, lullabies, CIO, even making the room freezing cold so they would stay in their beds) but my kids were still taking almost 2.5 hours to fall asleep very night after lots of threatening, screaming, and crying. We hesitated for 6 months because we didn't want to spend the money on something that wasn't guaranteed, but we finally gave in when nothing was getting better and I figured I could at least say that we tried everything (and maybe they'd return my money when they realized my kids were "lost causes" or the worst they'd ever seen? It was that bad...). Jessica was very friendly and understanding. She spent a lot of time asking questions about each child. Even she admitted that we had tried everything! I think some of the big tricks were setting our kids up for success even if it felt like we were doing the opposite (like moving the kids to sleep in separate rooms) and CONSISTENCY between both parents on the bedtime routine (from MOTN wake-ups to consequences). The biggest value to me was having Jessica there for specific questions at each phase of the sleep training process. You can read all the websites and books, but with no one there to answer your questions when your kid throws you a curve ball, you end up questioning/doubting yourself and, in our case, spouses may want to respond in different ways. Jessica was always flexible with us if we weren't comfortable doing something and was great with pivoting the plan to accommodate the progress of each kid. By the end, she really knew our kids and was as equally proud of them as we were! It took about 12 weeks but both of our kids sleep in their own rooms now and are quietly and willingly in bed by 8pm (just like in the movies!!!!!) I honestly never would have imagined how much my kids completely turned around like this! It is a LIFE CHANGER. I was having so much mom guilt and I literally DREADED bedtime every single night. Now the whole family knows what to expect for bedtime routine, my kids know how to fall asleep on their own (which is an important skill that they will have for the rest of their lives!), and they're overall happier kids with less meltdowns, outbursts, and midday crashes. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Pam Nease Sleep (and Jessica!) even if your kids aren't as bad as mine. Initially it felt bad/weird asking for this type of help because it's like admitting that we didn't know what we were doing and having to reveal all the wrong ways we were doings, but there was never even a judgmental tone from Jessica. She was so patient and kind and understanding through every step of the way. And there's nothing wrong with asking for help! Each child is different and teaching kids how to sleep is actually NOT innate or obvious, so if you're at your wit's end and about to lose your @*!@$@&@# like I was, I highly recommend hiring a sleep consultant and Pam Nease will not disappoint!

But from our very first meeting it was clear Ting Ting was highly knowledgeable and deeply experienced. Through our time together she calmly and deftly helped us navigate our baby's sleep with confidence and humor. She patiently worked with our new-parent neuroses and answered our every question and concern with thoughtful, well explained solutions. And you can see from the attached baby monitor data that she took us from a pacifier-reliant contact napper waking us up for 20+ visits a night to a completely independent sleeper only needing one visit (for a feed) a night at 5 months old.
