I was completely blind in one eye and had severe anxiety about the surgery, the possible complications, and wait times. Dr. Kandavel took my super emo, erratic behavior in stride and gave me an excellent outcome. I have sharp, clear vision with 0 complications. In fact, my vision is better than we both expected; I have 20/20 vision and can still read items on my cell phone. I had no pain or blurring after surgery, which is unusual since I experienced both during cataract surgery on my other eye (performed by a different surgeon). Even though he's an in demand surgeon, Dr. Kandavel has zero ego. He is as humble as can be. I'm sure my armchair expert attitude drove him batty, but he was very diplomatic, never condescending, and always sought to explain things for greater clarity. He asks questions and actually listens!
