We had a good experience here! Would have loved to see more variety of different flavored drinks, but overall enjoyed our coffees. It is in a great location and the ambiance is cute. The latte was extremely sweet, so next time would probably get something else.

We stopped by a local farmers market where the Roaming Bean truck was visiting. This was my first time trying this spot and I ordered a mango passionfruit refresher. My drink was so yummy and I loved that you could really taste the mango flavor. This coffee truck is known for their specialty lattes, so this spot is perfect for coffee lovers. So glad I finally got to try the Roaming Bean!

Love The Roaming Bean! They post their weekly schedule on Instagram which makes it easy to find them when they're in your area. This was my second visit, and both times, their drinks were very good! They have a fun seasonal menu with creative drink options to choose from. This time I ordered the Iced Raspberry White Chocolate Mocha, and it was delicious! The staff was super friendly and service was very quick. If you see them out and about, make sure to stop and check them out!

This cute little coffee place just moved into a brick and mortar in the strip district They offer fancy coffee drinks Muffins pastries some Sammie's and I saw a salad or two Got a waffle cone iced coffee so yum Friendly service A few tables seating for about 12 people These yum drinks don't come cheap about 8 dollars but occasionally you you need that fancy beverage and the roaming bean does it well Friendly service The only thing parking is a hassle private street nearby offers unknown meter feeder ? At 7 dollars A few spots across the street is legit PGH parking 1.65 for 30 min Parking garage not far but $7 for a short time is a pass I do love their coffee and it's worth getting

I think The Roaming Bean is infamous at this point, at least in the general Pittsburgh area. They operate multiple mobile coffee stands (AKA food trucks but for coffee) and can be found in different neighborhoods throughout the week. They also make regular appearances at a couple local markets (Janoski's and Simmons) and can be booked at private events. They have a reputation for serving some of the tastiest specialty lattes. And I don't mean, like, vanilla lattes; think more along the lines of Blackberry Raspberry Chocolate Chip lattes. Their menu rotates regularly, so you can expect to see different flavors during different seasons. Their current menu, for example, is quite festive since it's December. (They don't appear to have kept the s'mores latte this year though...a shame!) I love their drinks, if you couldn't tell, but these are definitely the kind of drinks where you taste the syrups and added flavors more than the coffee itself. I'm mentioning that since the number one complaint I see from people is that the drinks can be too sweet or they wish the coffee was stronger. I personally love The Roaming Bean; I'm a latte lover with a sweet tooth, so their fancy drinks are a delectable treat for me. (Also they regularly sell Oram's goodies as well - I always get one of those to go!) It's absolutely worth finding a Roaming Bean truck and giving one of their drinks a try; just remember that they're insanely popular, so be patient as you make your way through the line.

Hot BANANAS FOR YOU LATTE and an iced raspberry waffle cone.

I stopped by here this past Sunday with my family for our morning coffee. Every weekend we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this morning it happened to be The Roaming Bean. I had found this place on Yelp and did not realize they were actually a coffee trailer even though the name probably should have given it away. In a nice coincidence for us, they were set up at Labriola's which was about two minutes from where we already planned to go. So we headed over. Since this is a coffee trailer there is not too much to say about the setup. It is painted black and I believe they had three employees working the day we were there. That turned out to be a good thing because the line was long, but it moved quickly. For our coffees I ordered a hot Bananas For You Latte while my wife went with an iced Raspberry Waffle Cone. My latte was described as a banana and amaretto flavored latte topped with whipped cream and banana chips. My wife's drink was described as a madeleine, caramel and cinnamon flavored latte topped with raspberry cold foam, waffle pieces and sprinkles. From the time we ordered to the time we had our drinks in hand was less than five minutes, so we were quickly on our way. My coffee ended up being pretty good. The amaretto flavor was the most noticeable with the banana coming through second but still present. It did not overpower the coffee itself which stayed rich and noticeable in the background. The banana chips were interesting. I liked the idea and the flavor, but trying to get them out of a hot to go cup was a bit awkward. My wife also enjoyed her drink and especially liked the flavor along with the waffle cone pieces. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. We both enjoyed our coffees and I would be interested in trying more of their seasonal drinks.

So happy for them that they have a spot in the strip! Coffees are so good & made to order for you. Great selection. And great space - many tables and chairs to sit and enjoy. Service is always great & they really work hard here at making their coffees fast but well.

I've been a long time fan and have gone to many pop-up locations, but it's great to have an all the time location whenever you want that special coffee treat! The cafe is cute and well decorated. Service was friendly and quick! Even got a pup-cup, which is arguably the most important thing! Very walkable from downtown or the Strip!

Adorable vibe. Great service. Large portion for the price. Tasty drink. I think it hits all the must haves for a coffee shop! I only wish they had outdoor seating. The establishment next door does and it makes you wish to be outside!

The best chai that I ever had. So happy that I was able to track them down remotely close to me. The staff were friendly and super fast. The ingredients were high quality, you could taste the flavors but they weren't too sweet, and you get a lot of the drink with the crushed ice compared to cubes at most places.

We were lucky enough to catch the Roaming Bean truck at Janoski's during the fall/Pumpkinland one past weekend. It was a pleasant surprise and we knew we had to seize the opportunity to finally get this mobile coffee shop. They had an assortment of baked goods on display outside and a fall features menu. We both chose lattes from the fall menu, one hot and one iced. The staff were friendly and you could tell they were working hard to keep up with the crowd. Our beverages were ready in less than 3 mins. The drinks are one size, as far as I could tell, and are priced at the higher end ($8-$9). They are tasty and you can tell extra work is put into the presentation.

I've always had great experiences getting coffee through the Roaming Bean! I love the fact that there's a rotating seasonal menu. Surprisingly the coffees aren't too sweet, which is great! Every time I go to a truck, the employees are also very nice! This is a great Pittsburgh business that I'll continue to support!

Seriously such GREAT coffee! It is so tasty and I love the flavors. They came to our apartments and did not disappoint. 10/10 on the Berry Chantilly Latte and cinnamon roll!

After walking around the neighborhood, this one had seating, so we went inside. First, I'll say the coffee we tried was pretty good - a cappuccino and a brown sugar cinnamon latte. The barista asked "for here or to go" and the drinks still came in a paper cup anyway despite us saying "for here". I really enjoy having a coffee in an actual glass/mug when I say "for here". The ambiance was a bit confusing... not really sure what they were going for in the space, things were a bit choppy and thrown together. Kinda felt like you were in someone's garage with cluttered items on rickety shelves behind the counter. Our barista was very nice, but an awkward moment occurred when they were ringing us up - barista asked for a tip but then told us not to put the tip on the credit card because the owner steals from them. We felt this was a little uncomfortable and gave some unwelcoming energy. We also tried a Nutella croissant, which was very good! I think this shop has a lot of potential with some changes to service and decor.

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.
