I arrived about an hour early since the website recommends coming early to enjoy the spa's amenities. I'm so glad I did. After checking in, I was given a tour of the facility and shown the relaxation room, where I waited for my service. The staff also showed me where to find the complimentary beverages, including juice, mint- and lemon-infused water, and tea. I was escorted to my locker and shown how to use it. The locker room was clean and included showers and restrooms. After changing into the provided robe and sandals, I grabbed a refreshing cool washcloth with cucumber slices and a cup of juice before settling into the relaxation room. The atmosphere was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what I needed to unwind before my massage. My massage was with Rob, and he was absolutely amazing. Those hands are a gift from God! He applied the perfect amount of pressure and worked every area that needed attention. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. I forget that this spa is here. I came here because someone gifted me a gift card. I was a little bit offended when I got the gift card because I had never heard of this place. Who is Robert Andrew? The drive here from the city is a good 45 minutes drive if you don't have traffic, so add traffic and now I'm driving to the boonies for spa day, the math didn't math. However, I finally made my way to the boondocks and was quite surprised, not quite the spa I'm used to but not bad. They do not have a relax room or at least I wasn't offered that. Not sure if that's because they were busy or I got overlooked. I know relaxation rooms, their "tranquility" room, is likely small as most are but, I'm used to being told to come early or stay late to utilize all amenities. This wasn't done for me. The ONLY thing I love is that this place has couple rooms. Massages for couples, ummmmm YES please. I also love that they have packages for full day services that include lunch. A all day spa day is something every woman should do a few times a year. Not many places cater to this type of service anymore so for me, that's a plus here. Overall, cute spa, clean, and somewhat upscale. I wouldn't drive to this spa for service but if I lived in the area, I would come. Prices are reasonable. 3 stars for me only cause they do not have valet service, it's self parking, I didn't get to use the tranquility room, maybe it was packed, who knows, but if you advertise a tranquility room let your customers use it. What an amazing way to celebrate my birthday with a beautiful and relaxing day at the spa. This was my first time at the spa and Robert Andrew did not disappoint. I brought my own bottle of champagne and fully enjoyed all of the peace and serenity that I needed. Jennifer gave me a great deep tissue massage, from head to toe. My body felt so rejuvenated. Followed by calming facial by Koryne. She was so energetic, engaging and enthusiastic. She was so knowledgeable about skincare and gave great recommendations for my skin type. I've been to Robert Andrew for various services over the past couple of years. I booked a same-day aromatherapy massage with Trevor which was absolutely phenomenal. Upon entering, I was greeted, checked in, and taken to the women's changing room. The massage helped to relieve lower back pain I was experiencing for some time. Trevor was professional, polite, and a master at his craft. I look forward to booking regular stretch and massage sessions with him. I left feeling much better than when I walked in. I have always loved this spa. Their massages and facials have always been worth the money. I had a hair stylist there but unfortunately she left. I booked with someone I had never seen before. I showed her a photo of the cut I wanted and she said no problem. I informed her that my hair has been shorter and I'm fine with going that length, thus choosing that cut. At the end, I was confused as to why my hair looked nothing like the photo. I expressed this to her in which she said, she understood it didnt look like the photo and I could come back to have it fixed in a few days. We'll why didnt you do it right the first time?! Why do I need to return to get the cut i wanted and showed you from the start?! I have very little free time. I got my cut on a weekend. I have zero time during the week to return to a salon who should've cut my hair correctly the first time. And the back of my hair isnt even even!!!! You expect me to return for you to fix my hair when I paid $91 for you to not listen to me?! No thanks, ill go to another salon that values my money, time, and listens to my wishes. I was gifted a gift card to get a couple's massage a couple months ago. I was very excited upon getting to the venue, as the space is gorgeous and relaxing. Our masseuses, Robert and Zack, were great! They made me and my guest feel comfortable and targeted the areas we were concerned about with expertise. However, my experience with the front desk staff left me feeling humiliated and belittled. I was greeted upon arrival by a very nice woman, who checked me in. I reminded her that I had a gift card, and that when I had called to book the appointment, the receptionist had trouble putting it into the system but assured me that if I put a 50% deposit down, it would be no problem once her manager had the card in person. Upon paying for the service, another clerk came to help the front desk staff, who was still having trouble using the gift card. This woman proceeded to laugh at me, and state "This gift card is like, really expired," then upon seeing my shocked reaction added, "Oops, I didn't mean to say that out loud." I understood, as my grandmother gifted it to me, and I wasn't surprised that it could've expired, however, if I had already called about this issue, it should've been brought to my attention upon arrival, rather than at payment. Further, upon relaying my phone conversation with the receptionist that booked my appointment, she responded, "Well, I don't know why she told you it would be fine," and proceeded to chuckle again. It is wildly unprofessional to laugh in a customer's face and be condescending at an honest mistake, especially one that was brought to the company's attention a week beforehand. I was extremely disappointed at how my relaxing service quickly dissipated and left me tense and embarrassed as I paid my remaining fee (as paying was never the problem, professionalism was). While Zack and Robert were great, as well as the front desk woman with the nose ring, but the blonde woman who came to help her will be the sole reason I do not return. I came in on a Saturday for a much needed day of relaxation. I have to thank my Yelp friend who found this little gem. It's was not a very long drive from my home to get here. It's located in a shopping center the process to book services online was quick and easy. You do have to leave a credit card on file and there is a penalty for cancellation within 72 hours. I booked Tuscany Suite for 2 That included Jacuzzi soak and/or Waterfall shower followed by an Aromatherapy Massage for two in the Tuscany Suite. We opted for the optional light lunch of a half of chicken salad sandwich and Caesar salad along with a glass of wine. There are only a few option available to choose from and you much make your selection at the time of booking. They recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes early to fill out all appropriate paperwork. There is ample parking in the shopping center where it is located. It's doesn't looks very large from the exterior but when you enter you can see how huge it is. There is a comfortable waiting area where you can fill out your paperwork before being escorted to the locker room to change. Inside the locker room there is a sauna, lockers, restroom, and showers. They provide robes, towels, and toiletries. There is a waiting area where you can be seated while you wait for an attendant to escort you to your room for the actual service. We did the jacuzzi soak though I was intrigued by the waterfall shower. After 30 min the massage therapists came in and provided the aroma therapy massage. I used to visit this spa regularly, but after my last experience, I decided not to return. On that visit, my scheduled masseuse called in sick. Instead of reassigning me to another therapist, the staff left me sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes with no communication. I assumed someone else would step in, but no one ever did. When they finally checked back in, they offered to give me only the remaining 30 minutes of my session but still expected me to pay the full price. I had a warm welcome at the Spa, and enjoyed the Men's Lounge. The lounge has comfortable chairs, cucumber water, and magazines. Miss Kerianne did a good job on the waxing. I enjoyed the amenities that they offer: shower, towels, sandals, shower products and the sauna. The only issue I had was that the sauna does not have a mechanical or sand timer. Robert Andrew needs a timer so you know how long you are staying in the sauna. I have had numerous experiences with them changing my scheduled appointment and today was the icing on cake - made an appointment weeks ago for me and a friend together. They scheduled. Then a week later called to say can't do both pedicures at same time - so scheduled them back to back. Day of appointment (2 hours before appointment) phone call saying they have to cancel. I don't consider this good business and could stomach it if hadn't happened previously also. Completely taken back from and dis-shoveled from this encounter, we finished the manicure, which at this point was even worse than my pedicure with each fingernail filed at different angles and directions. I left the mani/pedi area and headed for the dressing rooms. Upon checkout and payment, I was one of the last clients to leave for the evening, the front desk attendant who rang up my services informed me that I was to owe an additional $47. I asked why, as I was previously told my gift card had covered ALL my services AND included plenty for tips, I was informed that "it was an up charge for the gel polish". Fine, paid my bill and left in tears at this point. Upon leaving, I received my itemized bill of my services and left. I left more stressed and upset after spending 6+ hours, and majority of my day off on a Saturday, at an establishment that should have brought me peace and relaxation, but instead turned out to be the worst spa day experience ever- minus the facial. When I arrived at home, past the hours of the salon closing, I reviewed my itemized bill. I was wrongfully charged $20 additional dollars for gel polish removal (that was billed twice for $10/each) - mind you I arrived with NO nail polish what so ever on my nails, as I was instructed upon booking to have natural nails for my services to be completed. I was also then charged a $25 COUPLES fee, when I was a solo individual with no other party with me during my services. I called the salon first thing the next morning about the wrongful charges. The front desk attendant was profusely apologizing for the mix up, and informed me that a Manager would review my file and be in contact with me about a refund. Later that day, I did receive a call from a Manager stating they would refund me only $45 and not my full balance due to taxes and fees. I was also told my refund should appear in my account in 3-5 business days. I was still utterly upset over my spa day experience from the day before, I left the conversation at that, and was content with getting at least most of my money back. TWO weeks later, I had yet to receive a refund, and had to call the salon back AGAIN, to inform them I had yet received a refund as promised. I was then told that the refund was never properly processed, and should arrive in 3 to 5 business days following that conversation; which it did. I've been to this Spa many times to treat myself and friends for special occasions and have never been disappointed till now. Our original reservation was in the summer of 2024. When my sister and I got there, there had not record of my reservation and no availability for the service I reserved so we left and postponed our visit. When we complained they said they just changed their computer system and gave us some complimentary coupons for our trouble. My sister and I recently went to back for the rescheduled/delayed birthday celebration. I was scheduled for two services. A brief tension relieving target massage and pedicure. She had the a full massage I tried to book on line and had some issues so I called in person to talk to someone. After a very long hold, I was helped by a young man. He was attentive and reassuring. I asked him very precisely about the availability of staff and timing since our time was limited. He assured me of the details as we reviewed them given the initial mixup. My 20 mins tension massage was really good and as expected. The tech was kind and responsive. However, they did not have the staff for the what I thought was a 12:30 pedicure. I did not start my pedicure till 45 minutes later, throwing off our precisely timed schedule. Not terrible. However what made this experience really bad is that I now have what seems to be a painful bacterial infection in two of the toes on one foot. Something that I have never experienced before. I cannot be sure that the pedicure was the cause, but the coincidence is too great. Because of their schedule delay, they had me sit and soak water (cooled) for the entire time I was waiting which ended up being over 30 minutes. The pedicure was nothing like I expected. I was extremely disappointed and actually cut is short because of our time issues and my disappointment. I doubt I will go back. 5 Stars! This place is pure perfection from beginning to end! I was in traffic and arrived a few minutes late and the receptionist told me to breathe, relax, and she pushed my appointment back so I can still get my full hour. I was escorted everywhere so I wouldn't be lost in the beautiful maze of a building that it was. The interior design felt like you were in a spa at the Venetian in Vegas. Absolutely divine! Now on to the massage, I went with Brandon because he was the cheapest per hour, he was a breath of fresh air. I didn't have to wait, he was so professional and comfortable and cared only about me and my needs, I was thoroughly impressed. He explained everything so well to me, plus it helps that he was patient and could answer any of my questions. Finally at the end, I enjoyed the steam room, showers with their signature products. I would however recommend that they get disposable razors if they're going to provide shaving cream from the men's locker room, that was a little awkward. When you come in every one has to have a mask and get your temperature checked before you can go to the area to wait for your service. My facial was just average, lots of creams and lotions were applied and, of course, there was an attempt to sell me a skin care line. Where do I begin. I've been wanting a massage and pedicure since I turned 40... yesterday was my 54th birthday. So I said screw it let's do it! I had been hesitant due to being very much overweight and my toes looking like something from pre-historic times. I always "assumed" that I would be looked at funny and given mediocre or "half assed" service. Man was I wrong. I checked in and was greeted by the lovely Bobbie. I told her this was my very first massage and pedicure anywhere ever. She assured me that I made the right decision and would be roaring to come back. Bobbie led me to the men's changing area and explained how to use the lock feature on the lockers and pointed me to the men's lounge area where I'd wait to be escorted by my masseuse. Amanda arrives and escorts me to the massage room which was dimly lit with soothing music playing. The atmosphere was just how I'd imagine. This was an aromatherapy massage and I was given 3 scents to smell and choose one. From the first touch I knew I had made the right decision. Amanda was fantastic and massaged away the stress and was very patient with my awkwardness with this being my first time. She told me WELCOME TO YOUR NEW ADDICTION. Amanda you deserve an A+ grade. After changing back into my clothes, Bobbie escorted me to the pedicure area. After a short wait, Rene escorts me to the pedicure chair. Again awkward and embarrassed by my ugly toe nails, Rene made me so relaxed and did an incredible job on these dawgs of mine. Rubbing and washing and scrubbing. Using a variety of oils and sprays. I truly love this practice, the staff is thorough and very comforting! I started coming 8 months ago and have had wonderful experiences from the start. Halle, the owner, takes great pride in ensuring her patients are well taken care of. She has personally gone out of her way to accommodate to me this year. I never feel rushed in the office and often spend a little time asking questions about my treatments and other devices they have to offer. As someone who is new in this space, I highly recommend anyone that is interested in trying out Botox and Lip Filler make an appointment. They have many other services of course, but I have found my friends asking about these two services most often. What a terrible experience. My daughter had an appointment to have her hair washed and blown out with Melissa for HOCO. I dropped her off and she sat for 20 minutes after checking in. I came back and after waiting another 5 minutes we were told that Melissa was "extremely behind" and couldn't see her and no one else was available. Why would they have not told her that when she checked in and who gets so behind that you cancel a client while they are there waiting for the service that they make you pre-pay for?! I have been a customer of this establishment for many years. I have received several services and have monthly nail appointments. My nail tech is Rene who is absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend her. As much as I LOVE her service, I have to say if she would to ever leave, I will cease to patronize this business. This reason for this review is due to the constant rudeness of the employees (in particular other nail techs). Although the rudeness has been on constant display, today I had my first morning appointment in quite a while. Not only do the techs (with the exception of one named India who always speaks) walk in and not speak or acknowledge other techs let alone customers, but the "spa manager" does the same so I guess it's learned behavior. Someone will inevitably say this shouldn't matter but it does. If the atmosphere of a SPA isn't welcoming and relaxing, what would make you want to visit or continue to do business with such a place? I drive a pretty good distance to come here, because of the service Rene provides. I've had massages, facials and waxing appointments of the years. Their prices are high for the service you receive. I used to get weekly massages years ago when I was with Massage Envy and had a great masseuse. Years ago I had a great masseuse at Robert Andrew but she is now gone. In the last year I purchased a 90 minute massage for almost $200 and it was the worst made up massage ever. Such a waste of money with no relief. Their waxing prices are very high and the technicians are not very thorough. I've moved on to another business and am paying $30 less for my waxing services and my new technician is very thorough. read more

I had a great experience at Robert Andrews this past Saturday (June 26, 2021) for my 50th bday. From start to finish the services was impeccable. I started with a massage with Robert. The massage was great but I must say he was a little talkative. Great conversation but i would have rather not had any during my massage. 2nd stop was a facial with Teresita. That was also great as i had not had a facial in some time. She got rid of my blackheads and my face had a glow after she was done with the entire facial. She also recommended some great products. 3rd was lunch with Champagne/Wine. I was in the room alone and loved every minute of it. Lastly was my gel manicure and pedicure with Rene. She was great and very knowledgeable about her craft and the salon. The pedicure area was dimly lit and was very relaxing. You don't find that in your every day run of the mill spots. I was gifted a gift card for this entire experience and liked that the tips were included. Overall, i know they are a little more expensive than your average, but based on my first experience they are definitely above average. I will return in a couple of months and do it all over again. After experiencing a wonderful girls day of massages for my birthday in May, in which we came home so relaxed, I thought it would be lovely to treat my husband and two adult sons to a Father's Day massage with the same three women that we had. Only to be called the Monday before to be informed that one of the women no longer worked there. OMG I cashed in on my gift card received Valentines Day 2020 booking a Signature massage (with hot stones) . Y'all.....the massage had me in tears. Not in a negative way but from RELIEF! I only deducted one star because I couldn't FULLY relax since the masseuse was a CHATTY PATTY (I wanted to say SHUT UP) but I am nice. There are so many things that contribute to a great spa experience, but I'll highlight key factors that give this Tuscan themed, world renowned spa the edge. +State certified aestheticians and massage therapists who actually love their jobs +Wide array of service offerings, quality skin care/spa products, and waxing. RA is a full service salon and spa that offer specialized facials, massages, body treatments, Vichy showers. Most of the time, I select the RA Signature facial because the aesthetician can customize it based on my unique needs +Spacious Tranquil Room that's dimly lit, has comfy seating (chaise lounges, chairs, sofa) and a fireplace to help you relax. A terrible experience. Was greeted with hostility and terrible customer service after a scheduling mix up on their part. Received sloppy and rushed work on my nail service and my concerns about nail shaping and large tips was ignored showed a picture before the service that was completely ignored. Nice and clean salon but unfriendly staff and sloppy service will stop me from coming back or recommending for others. read more

The very first time I ever visited the salon was in their original location in Crofton. It was very nice and I received great service. However, it was many years later, after they moved to a much larger and far nicer location in gambrels that I went back again. I had my hair cut from below mid back to chin length. My hairstylist was very cautious and apprehensive initially because it was such a drastic change. However, once I reassured her that I was OK with it, and even offered to sign a waiver or whatever she needed to make her feel more comfortable, she proceeded and did a fantastic job. The staff is amazing and the environment is incredibly nice. Admittedly, this is not somewhere that I can afford to go on a regular basis, but it is definitely somewhere that I go when I want to pamper myself. If you are looking for a new "do", or a massage or any one of the other services they provide, you cannot go wrong here! You will feel like a queen and will no doubt leave very pleased with your experience. I highly recommend! read more

Long Review (but it's worth it) Spoiler alert-My self prescribed day of relaxation was amazing! Massage with Chaun and Facial witn Nina I finally scheduled a day off for a much needed spa day with plans to head up to Baltimore- if you like spas you know the place. Unfortunately, when I called all of their facilities were closed. The only other place that had anything close to this, was Robert Andrew's. Sidebar- I'm actually from Gambrills and I've never been here. PARTY FOUL! *face palm* I could have walked there. If you are a self-care spa head like myself, you know that you don't go for just a massage. You go for the whole experience: the view, the day room where you lay on heated stones and drink wine and champagne, away from your kid(s) who some days really seem like they are double teaming you, the giant jacuzzi, the service, the sauna, etc. While ROBERT Andrew's extra facilities are still closed, I picked up a body ritual with a full body sugar scrub, milk bath and 50 minute massage for about $200 which is still on special when online booking. I also included a fantastic 4 layer facial for approximately $175. The Body Ritual w/ Chaun $200 An awesome tradeoff considering there is no sauna or jacuzzi AVAILABLE due to Covid. Sugar scrub to remove all that winter dead skin and get you summer ready A Long hot milk JACUZZI bath to remove said sugar scrub. I have no idea what's in it but your skin feels like silkyyyyyyyy. Baby soft. You get out for an awesome 50 minute massage which worked out all my neck and back kinks from being hunched over a laptop working from home. Chaun was great. He focused on my individual needs which is what a good massage therapist does. 4 LAYER FACIAL with Nina Man! Nina is a godsend. I'll just say i haven't been treating my skin well being at home. I wash my face and throw whatever moisturizer I have on hand. Winter my face takes such a beating but Nina got me all the way together. Again, she customized my treatment to my needs. My face feels amaziiiiiiiiing and she introduced me to the skinceuticals line. (I've been a PCA skin/Dermologica girl for years.....I'm a lady now LOL) I say all of this to say, I had a great experience and I will be back. They've had some interesting reviews and all I can say is if you've had a bad experience, the people who did me were both highly skilled and experienced. Thanks! read more
