Both excellent examples of those styles. The biggest disappointment was that there was NO FOOD available despite a sign outside that said small plates. It may have been just that weekend but they really need something to balance the alcohol, even if it is just packaged pretzels or chip.

We started with some cheese curds and pretzel bites. The pretzel bites were actually my favorite thing that I had the whole evening. They were pillowy soft and the smoked gouda beer cheese paired nicely. As a person who normally prefers mustard, I was impressed that I liked the cheese so much. For my main meal I got the fried chicken and waffles which comes with fries. I was surprised to see that when it came out, it was two waffles and two pieces of chicken. As I said before, pretty good portion size. The chicken was quite tasty with the hot honey, but the waffle was a little too sweet for me. With the waffle already being sugar pearl, once the honey saturated it was just a little too much for me. The fries were done nice with a crisp outside and soft inside. Some friends ordered the smash burger and it was also well received and a large portion size. Overall, great service and pretty good food. I hope to come back next time I'm in town.

I asked the waitress and she took it back and returned the salad minus the white something ( a piece of processed chicken) and 5 black olives thrown on the side. No bread, or roll, with this $7.00. They did offer us for a total of $10.00 a wine sample which was cool and nice and a dessert. I did not wait for the dessert, because it took so long to get the food. Our group was the only ones in the restaurant. Hayward is full of great places to eat, and this restaurant has a far way to go. Hopefully they will get there fast.

You can pick up your drinks and grab some beef jerky or fudge while you're at it, that's what I call one stop shopping for the serious Wisconsin drinker. The only reason I give them 4 stars rather than 5 is because they have a minimum purchase for any card transactions which, in 2017, is a bit ridiculous, but not enough to stop me from going there. Just remember to grab some cash before you go in, or you may end up spending more than you meant to (which, let's face it, in a liquor store this is not the worst thing in the world).
