Another great visit today to Eddy's! This is the second year in a row that we've come here during our annual Hayward trip. And just like last year, the reuben sandwich, fries and fried curds were a delight. The reason for this update: They were particularly kind about me goofing up the order for my kids' food. I had said chicken fingers when I meant to say grilled cheese. Even though it was my fault, they brought out a free grilled cheese for my kids to share. We visited Eddys during a summer trip in June. We ordered the Bourbon Chicken BLT and a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. We paid with cash to avoid fees and our total was $33.80. Our food was fresh, hot and delivered to us outside! The inside had very limited seating. Our food was ok, very greasy and we felt it afterwards. The service and vibe was great! read more

Came here while on vacation. The food looked delicious and my friends enjoyed their food. However, my famous reuben rolls had a long hair fried into the wrapping. I tried to let the staff know privately and not bring attention to it, hair happens, it was the reaction I didn't appreciate. They did not apologize at all just took the plate of food and walked away. They never asked if I wanted something else or a refund or even that they would remake the order. Another order came out about 10/15 minutes later (after the rest of my party had finished their meals) and was eventually brought out to my table again with no acknowledgement or apology. I also found it to be expensive ($85 for two burgers, curds, hairy reuben rolls and a kids meal). Overall, acceptable food was decent. Service could use a team meeting. read more

The staff were amazing. Food awesome--the homemade Reuben rolls were so good! Try eddies special sauce. We will make this a regular stop when we are in town--only a block from Main Street. Took an opportunity to stop here while in Hayward. Great stop ! Food was great. We did have a beef combo and a regular beef. Both came with a generous portion of fries that were done on site. Just great. Highly recommend. But pick your time. Limited seating but worth it. Good outdoor seating does provide additional seating on a nice day. read more

Bumped up from 3.5 stars. Quick service but very mediocre food. Look at the pics posted and that's what you get. A step up from fast food but I would not seek it out. To be fair, Hayward is not known for delicious restaurants but more for candy and ice cream stores, gift shops, and go karting. If you're looking for a decent restaurant, Eddy's still may be a good bet. read more

1 bourbon chicken BLT with fries. 1 cashew chicken with fries. 1 homemade fry sauce(the female one) LOL! There are 2 homemade fry sauces, one by a female name, one by a male name.... can't remember, but they are different....we got the female one.... really good! Ice tea & coke. So nice having this restaurant in town. The inside is pleasantly decorated. They made good use of the small space. The servers were helpful and friendly. I'm a vegetarian and enjoyed the Portobella burger. Their homemade sauce is extremely tasty and I'm a lover of sauce. In my opinion, they actually put too much sauce on the burger. It was all I could taste. In the future I will order the sauce on the side and that issue will be solved, Overall, our family of three has enjoyed the meals and appetizers we have had there. read more

Was camping in the area , came from Chicago, my son and I decided to get a bite to eat, we took a gamble , and ended up at Eddy;s on Third. I had a petty melt. I ate here 4 times in the past 5 days of my week long vacation to the beautiful Northwoods. I've had the schnitzel and the Italian beef previously during past vacations and they were just as delicious as I remembered them to be. The new to me menu items that I tried this time around were the weekly special German-inspired burger and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The burger was fantastic, but the Nashville chicken was hands down the best chicken sandwich that I've ever tasted in my 49 years around the sun. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak for $15. 00 .. came with homemade string fries, pickle, peppers & onions, 2 oz P/c cup of cheese sauce (??). High quality of food product, taste and execution.
