Last week my wife was pulling into a parking spot at a grocery store when someone opened a RF door. This knocked off the charging port on our Kia PHEV. I feel lucky for the referral that led me to Rod's shop, initially for mechanical maintenance and…read moreupgrades under the hood. I'd always had my car serviced at the dealership, but it closed. A friend recommended Rod the next time routine maintenance came due. What a find! He was able to diagnose and fix a minor (but annoying) issue that had always evaded the dealership. I babied my car since the day I bought her. You won't find anything cleaner after 6 years use as main family vehicle. (My best tip: no eating in the car - nothing but bottled water allowed - no exceptions. THAT is how picky I am about my girl.) I was heartbroken when, inexperienced driving in icy conditioners, I slid into another car during an exceptionally heavy snowstorm. Rod's work is completely flawless. Blending with existing paint is remarkable beyond what I thought possible. In fact he improved the appearance of the hood with some thinking-outside-the-box shading/detailing. There were so many wrecks that day, the city ended up closing down many roads. More than one of my friends had accidents, but in most cases their vehicles were tied-up for weeks. Insurance companies, car rentals and mechanics were overwhelmed. Perhaps it was in-part due to my pre-existing customer relationship with Rod, but he worked overtime to get authorization from my insurance and complete the job. I've been told he treats everyone fairly and expediently, new customer or old. I hope Rod never retires. I won't go to anyone but him for mechanical OR body/paint work. What was an issue is after paying that additional I arrived home and pulled up the plastic piece in the dash, there was a huge clump of dog hair which put me in tears. These were coverings that he showed me he would pick up and clean up under, just like he did with the cup holders now they say they say they don't do that, after showing and telling me they did. They used some kind of heat on the console and several months later that area is still dripping some kind of adhesive. It's really frustrating to have to continually clean this up.
