The Patio bar and fire pit

The vibe is amazing, the band was really really good. Cocktails are awesome....16dollars each. Great Long Island. They don't serve food, so you can try Rreal Tacos opposite. Service was slow as the place was really busy and there were only 2 servers on the floor. Bathrooms were clean.

We dropped in on Friday night and it took a few minutes to get a server to acknowledge us. Once we got noticed the server was great!!! McKenzie did an amazing job!!! This place would have got a better rating but they charge $2 for tap water in a drink. On the bill, my wife had a vodka water and it showed up as vodka $10 and water $2. WTF????? the staff said it's tap water because the drink tasted different due to it being sugar hill city water. Charging $2 for tap water should be criminal!!! Just my opinion. There are several other bars in the area that don't charge for tap water. Sugar hill Distillery is just one of a few. Watch your orders at this place they're dishonest!! Update: the establishment asked for a copy of the receipt so I am providing one. It's not about the $2 it's the principal. In my opinion the "nickel and Dime" concept is not good when you get negative attention. $2 for water SMH! How many other customers have been charged for water? With some of the reviews I've read there seems to be a pattern of inappropriate business practices. I experienced just one. The owner can reply all he wants about how sorry they are but until they fix the shady practices they'll end up loosing every time. Prove me wrong Roof Top!!

Service was excellent. People were very nice. Great place to take photos. No ambiance though. Giving it 2 stars because the drinks were terrible. The coconut margarita doesn't taste like coconut or margarita. Had to send two different cocktails back because they were undrinkable. Ordered the blackberry breeze which did not have mule or ginger beer on its description and it tasted like I was poured a gallon of ginger beer.

I really enjoyed the vibe and cute sunset views of the place. Reasonable drink options and overall not crazy prices.

This is my new favorite spot. The craft cocktails are awesome, but it's the rooftop vibe that keeps me coming back. You can't beat live music every night. Note that they don't serve food, but there's a partnership with the pizza place downstairs. You can order online, and they'll bring it up to you. I highly recommend the Stromboli.

The Rooftop is ALWAYS fun with live music and great cocktails. It's nice to go to a fun rooftop without going to Atlanta. It's a must visit in Buford area! The team is always super nice and is fast even when it's super busy. They have fun themed events and parties that are always a blast!

This is a very cool spot with creative, upscale flavors and excellent presentation. We ordered the bacon biscuit with grits and the avocado toast, and everything was absolutely delicious. The grits were the standout item for me. We learned they are made with locally sourced grits from a North Georgia mill, and the cheese combination created an incredibly creamy texture and rich flavor. The coffee was excellent as well and was served in a large mug that we really appreciated. We also discovered that the coffee is sourced from a small local roaster in Johns Creek, which fits perfectly with the restaurant's commitment to supporting local businesses. The dining area is somewhat small, but there is bar seating and outdoor seating available, which provides additional options. We also found out they have a second location in Johns Creek near our neighborhood, so we'll definitely be giving that one a try soon. Great food, excellent coffee, and a strong commitment to local sourcing make this a place worth visiting. We'll be back! BAM!

(Which... we did.) Love Potion Latte (Valentine's menu): Absolutely delicious. The strawberry aroma alone could convince someone to fall in love. And served in that giant Rushing Trading mug? Lumberjack Special: That board comes out looking like it's ready to feed a small village. Not a complaint uttered. Service was great, our server was on it, attentive, and basically read our minds the whole time.

They have a few TVs for viewing and had a live belly dancer briefly perform. They didn't have a DJ. It seems like they were playing music from a music playlist, which was a mix of RnB and Hip Hop. Their menu has food, drink, and hookah options. They had nothing on the menu except for Suya; so, we didn't have food. The drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced, given that they were served in plastic cups. The hookah was pretty good and lasted awhile. Of note, the bartender couldn't take cash because she didn't have enough change in the register to return; the only option was card payment.

The sign would advise they open at 5, but doors wouldn't open until nearly an hour later. They would frequently do grocery runs to Walmart then charge you the same amount for items such as wings that were clearly different and finally arrived right before they close the lounge. So you literally had to box them, then pay your bill to close..... With that said, The recent visit I made last week was MUCH better. Decor of this locale is real loungy and sleek. Nice ambiance for a Gwinnett experience...The staff is very pleasant, and the Siracha wings are amazing!!! Presentation was so simple but nice... My friend got another chicken dish, that kinda looked like a Cordon Bleu, and that was quite tasty as well. Drinks are fair, (tiny portions with ice), and the music is good. Mix of African/Reggae/HipHop. In all, I recommend this place if the consistency stays like this....but I had to be honest about my previous experiences.

The restaurant wasn't overly crowded -- only a few tables occupied and a handful of people at the bar -- but service was extremely slow from the start. It took about 10 minutes for our server to greet us, and another 10 minutes just to receive waters after ordering them. My boyfriend and I ordered drinks (a Raspberry Collins and a Tropicalia), along with a pretzel for the table. The pretzel was brought out by another server, and when I asked for plates, they never returned with them. I then asked our server for plates, but they still never came. Eventually, I had to ask the host to find our server, and he responded that he would "try." When our server finally came back, I had to ask for plates a third time. Our friend was finally able to order his mixed drink, and we went ahead and ordered our meals as well. The food took nearly an hour to come out, despite the restaurant having very few tables at that point. My boyfriend ordered the Nashville hot chicken, which was extremely oily and lacked flavor. I had the hibachi bowl, which was decent. Before the food arrived, I ordered another Raspberry Collins and more water, which took about 15 minutes and again was not delivered by our server. The one bright spot of the evening was the bartender -- I didn't catch her name, but she was wearing a red Falcons shirt. She personally brought my drink to the table, promptly brought us waters when asked, and even cleaned up our table. Major props to her professionalism and attentiveness, because she was the only person who made us feel taken care of. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning. Save your time and money and try somewhere else in downtown Sugar Hill.

All three were excellent and a great way to start the meal. For our entrees, we had steak and chicken piccata, and everything was prepared well and was very good quality. The staff was attentive, friendly, and did a great job making the experience feel upscale without being overly formal or pretentious. The atmosphere strikes a really nice balance and makes it a great spot for a nice dinner without feeling stuffy. Pricing was about what we expected for this type of restaurant, and we felt the overall experience matched it. Great food, great service, and a very enjoyable evening. The prices were so outrageously high I started wondering if I was accidentally buying shares in the restaurant instead of ordering a steak. Then, before I could even process the emotional damage, I noticed they had already slapped an automatic tip on the receipt. Bold move. Usually people wait until after they've earned it. I would give a better tip at Texas Roadhouse, a real American Dining. The steak arrived looking like it had lost a fight with the shrink ray from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. I've seen bigger samples at Costco. It was somehow both tiny and salty as shit, which is an impressive achievement in all the wrong ways. The mac and cheese tasted like someone whispered the words "cheddar" and "seasoning" into the kitchen and called it a day. I've had more flavorful ice cubes. At one point I looked down at my plate and genuinely wondered if this was the kids' menu portion by mistake. As we departed this fine establishment, I felt as though the restaurant had not merely emptied my wallet, but reached into my very soul and repossessed my financial future. My pocket had a hole in it by the time I left, my stomach was disappointed, and my dad deserved an apology letter from the chef. If Shakespeare himself had dined here, Hamlet would've been five acts of him debating whether "to eat, or not to eat." Save your money, grill a steak at home, and season your mac and cheese with literally anything. It'll taste better, cost less, and you won't need a small business loan just to celebrate Father's Day.
