    Leather peeling off

    Why why why. This is all my fault I do not blame anyone but myself. I bought a leather couch set. It has been exchanged for different reason power system went out sofa three time love seat two. The manufactures one year warranty. Has any one heard of genuine leather couch chipping nope I have never especially after 13 months. Called them they gave me corporates number I have left five messages and 6 emails did not respond once. RoomPlace I blame myself because I had bad experience with you guys before but gave you another chance. I lost 5,0000. Shameful

    After purchasing a bedroom set, dining room set and 2 living room sets, they have lost a customer. Sold me a leather sofa and loveseat that was not really leather. It started peeling and after several calls to them and their warranty company, they indicated that peeling is not covered. (Leather does not peel, so this was not leather). Then I asked for my dining room tables stains to be removed and they won't do it. I will not be doing business here ever again.

    Purchased these couches 3 years ago with a warranty we paid $220 for 5 years and they told me it only covers stains. All the leather is peeling on all 3 couches and they offer no type of repair or anything. Save your money and go somewhere else their merchandise doesn't last very long and the warranty is useless covers absolutely nothing other than spilled juice. Very disappointed

    See the supposed "leather" that fell apart. Come to find out our sales rep mislead us on the material and left us to garbage

    Performance is not as promised, our couches fell apart after 4 years. The director of customer retention didn't give a shit (Jennifer Sakic). What a way to lose a generation of customers! See photos, beware of this place and their fine print in their warranty.

    If I could rate them a zero I would…read more Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Steinhafels. The purchase was a loveseat, electric leather recliner and a coffee table for almost $3,400. I opted to pick them up from the warehouse because they wanted $200 for delivery which I find insanely expensive. Unpackaged the couch. One of the seat cushions was sewn incorrectly and there was a gap between the cushions at the front because of it. The 2 back cushions were not even close to being fitted correctly to the couch. There was probably a 4-5 inch gap. Unpackaged the leather recliner and the lower part of the back leather was loose at the center seam. It looked like a loose flap of skin. I tried to smooth it out with my hand and it wasn't happening at all. Basically looks like what you would expect leather to look like after 2 years of sitting on it after it stretches. Did not look like the floor model where all the leather looked nice and smooth. Didn't even open the table because we were so dissatisfied with the loveseat and chair that we didn't want any of it. I was told very specifically to look at them very carefully and call within 48 hours if there are any issues. As instructed I did and sent an email with pictures and told them how dissatisfied I was and didn't want any of it and wanted to return the whole lot. The customer service line actually told me that if I wanted to return them that since I picked them up, that I would need to take them back. Then the store manager called me. He had seen my email and the pictures. I explained the same things to him and that I didn't want it. He proceeded to tell me that they would replace the couch. I explained that I didn't want a replacement because I was so dissatisfied with the quality and I just wanted to return it. At that point he informed me that I would be charged a 15% restocking fee if I returned it. So let me get this straight. If there are defects on the piece of furniture that I would need to pay a restocking fee so you can sell a defective piece of furniture to someone else? Basically having such a horrible experience that I want nothing to do with their store or anything they sell. For a $1,500 chair and $930 loveseat, you would think you can get quality and if they are that bad that you'd have an option to not have them replaced and get your money back. I should have paid for the delivery because I could have refused them immediately. Lesson learned for sure on that.
