Selection is small, but they've got at least one choice of whatever you need. In our case, some select produce, salad dressing, and a few snacks. I also was on the hunt for some hair ties because I forgot to bring some with (rookie mistake). They only had locally made scrunchies for $4 a pop, but hey - now's the time to support local more than ever! Service is a little slow, but that's okay. The ladies were really nice. They also do coffee here as well. I got an iced lavender latte and it was phenomenal. VERY powerful flavor so definitely only recommend for the REAL lavender lovers! Great option if you are in need of some basics.

This secret and secluded getaway is the perfect spot to forget everything. With a camp store on property you are never without supplies, ice cream, or coffee. The cabin is a one bed one bath with a full kitchen stocked with the kitchen supplies we needed to cook meals and clean up. A Keurig coffee maker and pods are provided making it perfect to enjoy a morning cup of coffee on the front porch watching the sunrise through the trees. If wanting to venture out, the town of Leavenworth is only about a 25 minute drive taking you along the Wenatchee River. If Heaven had a pit stop, it would be Lee's Summit Deli and Grocery…read more I don't know what kind of sorcery they're working with at this gas station mini mart, but I walked in for a quick fill-up and left with a renewed sense of purpose, a heart full of joy, and the best soda of my entire existence. Let's start with the service: From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted like royalty. The cashier didn't just say hello--he beamed at me like I was the long-lost heir to the Lee's Summit throne. Need help finding something? They don't just point--they escort you. I asked where the beef jerky was and got a full guided tour of the snack aisle, complete with flavor recommendations and a brief history of teriyaki. I've had less attentive service at five-star restaurants. Now brace yourself for the soda machine. This isn't a soda machine. This is a carbonated cathedral. A fizzy fountain of dreams. I approached it cautiously, unsure if I was worthy. It glowed like the Ark of the Covenant. There were flavors I didn't even know existed--Peach Vanilla Dr. Pepper? Cherry Lime Sprite? A root beer so rich it could pay off my student loans? And the ice--oh, the ice! Perfectly crunchy, chewable nuggets of frozen bliss. I filled my cup, took a sip, and nearly dropped to my knees. I've tasted vintage wines, artisanal coffees, and hand-pressed juices--but nothing compares to the liquid euphoria that flowed from this machine. The rest of the store? Immaculate. Shelves stocked like a Swiss watch. Bathrooms cleaner than a hospital operating room. And the deli? Don't even get me started. I had a turkey sandwich that made me question every other sandwich I've ever eaten. If you're within 100 miles of Lee's Summit Deli and Grocery, cancel your plans. Drive there. Experience it. Let the soda machine baptize your taste buds and the staff restore your faith in humanity. Five stars isn't enough. I'd give them a constellation.

I had never hiked up this way (did fly fish it last year though). While driving up the valley, I happened upon this little grocery. I didn't have a Wilderness Pass, so I figured I'd stop on in and grab one (as well as some beef jerky for me and my dogs). This place is fairly small. The person running the place was sitting in what looked like an attached living room to the store (her cute kid was playing around on the floor playing)--definitely a homey feel to the place. The woman was nice and answered my basic questions about getting to the trailhead. "yeah, the roads alright, but there are some potholes to look out for", she said. "Potholes" turned out to be the buzzword of the day for me. If you need to pick up any last minute provisions, Teanaway Mercantile is your only options in this beautiful peace of the world.

The new owners seem really great and are still doing renovations and cleaning up the place, with future hopes of running a little sandwich/snack counter once their permits get approved. I'm a big fan of the unmanaged Twentynine Pines campground just a few miles into the hills past the Mercantile and now that this place is open again, I don't have to drive the ~20 miles back into Cle Elum for any supplies I forget. The prices are higher than Safeway and etc, but they're not outrageous and the convenience is worth it. I'm helping host a 30+ person event out that way this weekend and found that the Mercantile wasn't missing anything I might need during the event; they've got beer, propane, food, drinks, supplies, tools, and more. Their plans are to stay open year-round and I hope these guys can make enough to keep their doors open for a while.
