Do not go here! They are scammers! They did a break job in April for my Range Rover. Shortly after I left my car was making horrible screeching sounds that got worse over time. When I took it back to them they said the break pads needed time to break in and there was nothing that they could do. At that time my coolant light was coming on. They offered to service that as well while my car was with them. I agreed however, the very next day my coolant light light came on again! I called them and told them they said to bring the car back for them to check, turns out they never put any coolant in my car at all! When I returned they put in a full bottle! My coolant wasn't just Low it was empty! They fully took advantage of me and charged me for a service I'm sure they never performed. My breaks have continued to squeak and screech for the last 4 months, finally I decided I can't take it anymore and took my car back to Land Rover they told me the breaks were not installed properly at all. I am so disappointed in this place and will NEVER go back or send anyone there again. read more

I brought my rover here the first time after my regular mechanic misdiagnosed the issue and wanted to charge me an arm and leg to replace a part that was actually working fine. I was quoted $25k from Range Rover for a new engine on a 2018 Velar with less than 80k miles on it. Rover Spot had my car towed to their location. Ash was able to clean and rebuild my engine + more, for less than half of the price of Ranger Rover. He's highly knowledgeable and was able to complete the job with no issues. These people will not give you any paper work to make sure that you are the owner of the car. They have no receipts for diagnosis. They did nothing for my car, with no proof of issues that they supposedly fixed. And they charge you tons of money without a receipt or diagnosis. And when you try to ask for a receipt they give an excuse to not give one and hold your car keys until you pay. They don't have any space in their lot to park your car to be fixed and instead leave it in the streets with open doors and the neighbors try to get it towed. If I was 5 minutes late, the tow truck would've taken my car. They are irresponsible and there is only one person who speaks english. The other mechanics there don't say anything to you. I suggest not to go into this deep hole that I went into in 10 days that my car was being held there, and having to pay lots without the car getting fixed. read more

Not sure what to make of my experience here; not at all like other reviewers. I went in looking to order a thermostat for my (new to me) '09 RR. Got there Saturday morning, no other customers were there. Ash ignored me for a good five minutes until I finally stepped in front of him as he went to have a cigarette. I politely asked about ordering a thermostat. He looks me up and down and replies "No thermostat". To which I reaponded "No thermostat? I've got a bad thermostat code, I can't order one?". "No" he says, "Thermostat no good." I just shook my head and thanked him for his time. Needless to say, these guys just lost a customer who has already spent several thousand dollars on parts and service and expects to spend several thousand more. These guys won't get a dime from me though. I guess he didn't like my look, or perhaps didn't want to bother with a lowly $40 part. Oh well, your loss! read more

This is the place for your Rover. I had my thermostat replaced by Ash the owner is hands on he gets it done. When he removed my thermostat to find it not put in properly was the issue. It fell out of the housing and one of the springs was just floating inside. I knew that if I had gone to the dealership it would have been unreasonable amount. BIG TIME FRAUD! I paid these guys exactly what they asked without bargaining to change my brakes and rotors. The brakes started making noise from the 2nd day and when I called them to let them know, they said this is normal and please give it some time. months passed by and I kept sending them videos of the car making noise until after 6 months, they asked me to go back so they can check out the noise. in the next 6 months, they made me drive all the way from Santa Monica to Sun Valley 6 times, leave the car for days without a loaner car, lose time, lose money for not being at work, only for the noise to come back the next day every time. After over a year, they agreed to change the brakes since they had insurance and even charged me $99 for labor only to find out that they did not change them and only cleaned them just like every other time I had taken the car there before. Last I spoke to the owner he told me himself that the pads he used were " CHEAP SHI@#Y" and these are his own words after he charged me in full for good brakes. The date of the first service was on 10/01/2019 and my car is still making noise. I have reported them to the Bureau Of Automotive Repair and writing this review since I know they will never fix the issue. Came here to get my vehicle reprogrammed for Range Rover's tow assist. When they did it, the vehicle through a bunch of Errors. The technician spent a lot of time trying to fix it, and even submitting a support request with the diagnostic computer company. After a while he told us to go grab lunch, and it might reset itself. We went and got lunch down the road, and lo and behold, after restarting a couple times it did did reset itself with no errors. I called to let them know, and he told me to just continue on our trip and don't worry about paying for it. It wouldn't have been a lot of money, but I really appreciate that they stuck with it and tried to get it fixed, and didn't request we turn around and come back to pay when they knew we were already late getting on our trip with our new Airstream. WARNING: I asked these guys to check my Rover's engine and do an oil change. They did the oil change, but one month later when my Rover is still over-heating, another mechanic found water in the oil and smoke coming out of the oil chamber. He said it is a sure sign of a bad head gasket. The Rover Spot never caught it and they call themselves "Rover experts". I trusted these guys. Now I feel really let-down and disappointed. I could have saved money on other repairs had I known the engine was not good from the start. UPDATE: About 5 months later, I had the oil looked at and it was black! I don't think they even changed the oil. They also changed the passenger door and when the window wouldn't work on the "new" door, they made little effort to fix it. I have a non-operating window. They always gave me hand-written receipts The reason they gave was that they didn't want to charge me taxes! read more

My 82 year old father bought a '16 Range Rover, immediately got hit, and the entire back end of his Range Rover was demolished, including the camera. He flew out to see me in Phoenix, and started looking for a place to obtain the parts to fix his Rover. Nothing in Phoenix. At all. But he googled up The Rover Spot, and he had a few conversations with Mike, then more convos with Ash. Short story-- we ended up driving from Phoenix to LA to go to the Rover Spot. They had everything he needed, and things he didn't even know he needed, like the extra-heavy duty trailer hitch package. These guys are amazing-- they know their inventory, cold-- and their inventory is EXTENSIVE!! They answered their land-line phones, their cell phones; they answered in-office customers' questions, they made calls to locate potential parts. Talk about multitasking! We left LA with everything we needed, including a rear bumper. My mouth was still agape in disbelief at the efficiency, the politeness, and the knowledge the entire family possessed about Range Rovers. I don['t know much about cars, but my father was ecstatic with the deal that he made for all the parts. He estimated that he saved a WHOLE lot more than what he would have had to spend at the dealership, back in Texas. Kudos to an outstanding operation. I was referred to Rover Spot by a different mechanic in DTLA for a rear differential issue. He told me they were specialist and just the peeps I needed to see. I was so lucky to have found them and had the best experience here. Which is saying a lot considering mechanic experiences are never fun. Ash was very prompt, he got me in the next day. Then we spoke over the phone again within an hour of dropping it off and they kept me in the loop the entire time. Plus my mechanic Mike was so awesome and informal. Best shop for Rover owners, Mike really did help me and gave me advise before bringing in my car. MY experience was great from start to finish, with my luck my car stopped on me a mile away from the shop and Mike came out to me to check out the problem, he even made an effort to call his own tow truck guy. They are quick to repair, reasonable prices and dont push you for unnessary services, he pointed all the problems in my car and showed me the problem areas.
