    Patty Melt

Royal Oak Brewery has a nice atmosphere. There is a cute outdoor patio to sit at in addition to the indoor seating! Sometimes the service can be a little slow, so I recommend planning to spend some extra time there, but the food is worth the wait! This time I got the patty melt with seasoned fries! It was very filling and delicious!

Solid spot for drinks and food. Sandwiches were pretty good, nothing to write home about. Good amount of seating. Service is solid, great for groups.

These were amazing bar nachos and the portion was great for sharing. The house was bumping, food took longer than desired for some patrons at our table but I know how it is. Despite our waitress being busy she was always really nice, cool and calm. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but it's conveniently next to the comedy club. Come get their nachos.

Went for a work party! They were able to accommodate us very nicely had a group of 10. The food was absolutely amazing. Mac n cheese pizza looks like craft but tasted divine like garlic aioli absolutely delicious! Everyone's food was very good and came out on time. The staff was super nice and friendly and place was clean. Will be back.

Bar food, check. Cold beer, check. Good service, double check. Plenty of tvs and a patio for the good weather. Good place to meet friends or go it solo at the bar.

    Beer!

We were in Royal Oak visiting a loved one at rhe hospital and chose to grab some dinner before heading back to the other side of town. Beer sounded like a good idea so we came to visit Royal Oak Brewery because it is a stop on our Craftapped app - Getting our bogo 50% off beers was a breeze. We each ordered something different. I got the Ruben without sauerkraut because I was feeling corned beef. I wouldn't order it again, it was less corned beef than represented on their online menu pics, all balled up on one side to make it look like a bigger sandwich when cut/displayed. The bread was SO toasted it was basically a crouton. The fries were very good though! My siblings got the cheesesteak and the Cuban. I don't believe they had any complaints. The beer we got was good, I tried several, but only really wanted one of them because they were all too malty for my liking. I really think you should have a couple more hop forward menu items available even in the winter months to satisfy all customers. The option given to me by our attentive server was a cider... little sweet for my tastes, so I just stuck with the Kolsch. Little light, but was a good beer. Overall, would be back. The vibe inside is very chill.

    Country grilled cheese

We tried this place back in August before a show at Mark Ridley's. I really wanted to love it but I just didn't. The pretzel appetizer came with liquid mustard dipping sauce. I asked the waitress if that was typical and she said yes. I've never seen a mustard that is pure liquid before, anywhere. I tried the country grilled cheese as my entree. It sounded amazing on paper but I mostly just picked at it. I loved the idea of it but something just was off for me. I will say that the restaurant graciously took the charge off our bill even though I said it was fine. That was really kind. My boyfriend had the Nashville chicken sandwich. He liked the flavor but said it wasn't very hot. The presentation also left something to be desired. The service was good and they have solid drinks. Just wasn't wowed by the food. Might give it another try next time we are in RO.

Burger had great potential to be a home run only if had not been blackened/overcooked. Cajun chicken was very salty. I would try again but only for drinks and snacks.

We entered through the back entrance and were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. We quickly found a table for two, and our server was attentive from the start, bringing water right away, answering our questions, and walking us through the wine and beer selections. My wife ordered the Beet & Salmon Salad, while I chose the Crispy Chicken Club with white cheddar and house-smoked bacon. The sandwich was absolutely incredible--hands down the best crispy chicken club I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the combination of flavors was outstanding. I also stole a few bites of my wife's salad and was pleasantly surprised by the yellow beets. I'd only ever had red beets before, and both varieties were prepared beautifully. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the fresh ingredients. Between the excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service, this turned out to be one of the best impromptu dinner dates we've had in quite some time. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and are already looking forward to returning to explore more of the menu. Highly Recommend!

Walking in, the black and gold nuances strike you immediately and sitting at the bar, watching each drink being made is really quite fun. Their cocktail menu is absolutely spectacular. What a wide range of choices with all the major types of liquor available in one form or another. My bartender developed the program and she was super knowledgeable about it. I didn't try any of the food, so I can't comment on that, but for a pre or post dinner cocktail, I can definitely say this was an awesome spot to come out to.

As we followed our greeter to our table I kept screaming in my mind "no no no no no not that table no!" and she sat us at a table in full blasting sun. Nevermind the fact that there was a whole shaded section in the back part of the patio area. The rest of my group said it was fine and a beam of sun slowly bore a hole through my chest. Drink orders were up. I ordered a fabulous cross between a Moscow Mule and a Mojito. A+++ for the drinks. Mine was loaded with fresh mint from their garden. Same grade for our waitress who explained the drinks in detail and ended with "ugh- are you sure you want to sit at this table straight in the sun?" The other two said it was fine. I was ready to move, but was out voted. She continued to check in regularly and brought extra water. Most items on the menu were hot. I considered the fish, but we all landed on appetizers and we would just bounce from place to place for bites and drinks. We ordered the charcuterie board and the lavender lemon whip with bread and cucumbers for the 3 of us. The charcuterie board was the large version and had minimal offerings. It wasn't full and pretty. It was little piles of each thing on a board. This one definitely wasn't making it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There was a little pile of mixed nuts, a little pile of lose green grapes, a little pile of lose red grapes - not all grapes pristine or large and none were on the vine. There were 3 little piles of cubed cheese and 2 types of sliced sausage and sliced pepperoni. There were 8 crackers that were wheat thin size. This matters because we had some onion jam on the board and a nice serving of mustard. There really wasn't anything to put them on except for the 8 little crackers. That part was weird. These weren't elevated offerings. I could have picked up any of these at Walmart. They were not elevated quality either. We also got a lavender lemon infused whip which was their answer to tzatziki sauce. It was excellent but again, we were given so much of the sauce without a bunch to put it on. The cucumbers were sliced lengthways and there was a lovely bread that tasted like sourdough. There was 6 pieces of bread, and these were not particularly large pieces. A lot more would have been needed to use all of the sauce they gave. The proportions were off. All together the bill was over $100 for the 3 drinks and appetizers. If I ever did go back I won't order food based on what I experienced. There are too many other great options within walking distance.

A hostess who takes your money and gives you a bracelet, automated beer, and you use your phone to order from the kitchen, they text you and you go get your food. I wondered many times how they could serve alcohol and not monitor how much people were drinking? So I asked. The host is in the front said at the end of 32 oz is your bracelet will not work and you need to come up and see me to reset it. I guess that's how they would monitor whether or not someone could get another 32 oz? I'm surprised not more places have copied their business layout. With the new generation, this would be the place to go, you barely have to speak to anyone except for the people you're with.
