Half rack of ribs, coleslaw and BBQ beans.

Great addition to the Berkley restaurant scene. Got a half rack of BBQ ribs and side of beans and both were very tasty. My friend got a pulled pork sandwich. Wouldn't mind if they expanded their beer selection though.

Food was great! Took awhile for server to greet us but once that happened we were well taken care of. We dined in but still hoping they will add order ahead carry out. Now you need to go inside, order, wait. Ribs were wonderful, fries delicious, enjoyed the Caesar salad (good dressing) but oddly no croutons, sweet potatoes like a desert, yummy but very sweet, good cornbread. My husband and I split a slab with 2 sides, added a salad and had leftovers for his lunch. Slight winter draft as no vestibule.

    Pulled pork sandwich

Came here on a Thursday night at about 6pm. It wasn't really busy, but we still had to wait a little bit. Still, we had no trouble finding parking and were seated in just a couple minutes. Although seated right by the door and hostess stand, we were right under the ceiling vent and were thus reasonably warm. Drinks came out quickly and also the food. I order the same thing at every BBQ place--pulled pork sandwich--and this one was in my top 10. Fantastic sauces for all different flavor profiles and preferences, and the large pickles and coleslaw were not too dry or sour. Great food for a reasonable price.

Big 3 platter: pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, sweet potato mash, coleslaw, and cornbread.

Started with an appetizer of wings, enjoyable Smokey flavor and good seasoning. Main entree was the big three platter with coleslaw and sweet potato sides (and corn bread). Platter and sides were OK. Great service, drink was never empty and waitress was attentive. Restaurant was clean, and so were the restrooms.

Very small, but very loud. Service good, food only adequate. Doesn't compare very well to the original in Detroit.

Airport atmosphere. Dishes arrived cold. To-go portions are comically small for the price. Expected better from Slow's.

Little difficulty with folks who aren't as tech savvy as there are not servers or menus but if you don't want a typical restaurant experience where you have to wait for everyone to arrive (you know you have those friends that are always late for everything!) to order this is your jam. Food has always been good and their drink selection is as diverse as you're going to find in the craft beer scene today. Yes, 1/3-1/2 of their taps are IPA's but that's what you people have done to this world.

It's been about a year since I've been here and the concept of this place still just blows my mind…read more It runs very well, and pretty much no staff. The business model is genius. A hostess who takes your money and gives you a bracelet, automated beer, and you use your phone to order from the kitchen, they text you and you go get your food. I wondered many times how they could serve alcohol and not monitor how much people were drinking? So I asked. The host is in the front said at the end of 32 oz is your bracelet will not work and you need to come up and see me to reset it. I guess that's how they would monitor whether or not someone could get another 32 oz? I'm surprised not more places have copied their business layout. With the new generation, this would be the place to go, you barely have to speak to anyone except for the people you're with.

I was heading home hungry when I passed Elephant & Co, a restaurant I had on my radar for months…read more It was way past lunch and well before dinner, so I was surprised by the steady stream of customers in this pizza/tap/game room, a difficult genre to define. Upon entering, the staffer explained the set-up to enjoy a variety of beers, poured and priced by the volume. Located at the back of the restaurant, customers can select beer flavors and serve themselves, no bartender needed. A tab is started and charged based on usage, tracked through the wristband provided to you. I ordered over mobile via a QR code, selecting pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip and a large, Detroit-style pizza. The soft pretzels were tender with a lovely crusty exterior. I inhaled the first pretzel since it was past lunchtime, savoring the salty, cheesy bites. I must admit, the pretzels' saltiness temporarily affected my taste buds because the pizza had little flavor, even with the pepperoni, sausage, and olives. I definitely did not taste the hot honey drizzle. I want to praise the light, airy crust. For a deep dish pizza, it did not sit heavy in my tummy. I also appreciated that the pizza was served on a rack, to allow air circulation and to prevent sogginess. The space was dark and had both large communal tables and smaller, intimate tables. This allowed for larger groups to enjoy community beyond a friend group. The other plus is the board games that are available to pass the time while enjoying various beers.
