He has a lot of gym equipment laying around and even a punching bag you may hit why walking around the store or warehouse . they're even had a area in the store store so children could play with toys and blocks ect why you man look for carpet.the warehouse which had 100s plus remnant carpets in many sizes is in back of the main showroom so you might be deceived if your just driving by the store . He even had the insulation set for a Saturday which was great for us . They had even better prices then Flemington dept store and thats another excellent spot for carpets. I love a store like this a mom and pop type which the prices are right on the money !

Well, that's where the pleasantry ends. I was the only person in the store, so it wasn't like the sales person was overwhelmed... but he was the most unhelpful and grumpy individual. No guidance at all. I gave him a proposed budget (now mind you I have NO experience with carpeting stairways) but instead of educating me, he laughed at me and said labor alone would be double my budget. I noticed the J Brothers Flooring office sign as I was casually driving, and decided to stop in. Their online reviews were sparse. The Somerset office was simple and unassuming (they have now moved to another location in Middlesex, which I have not been to). The owner, Jack, was professional and down to Earth. He did not talk like a "salesman," which I liked. He gave me different choices and did not pressure me into expensive options (in fact, he tried to find ways to save me money based on my budget). My family was also with me, and he included them in the conversation. He stopped by my house to take measurements, and was respectful (removed his shoes without asking). I decided to go with him because I felt he had great business ethics and was trustworthy. His guys did a GREAT job, and even handled my furniture with care. I looked at all the corners and their precision was impressive. It felt more like a true custom job than a "contractor" job. I had one small area that needed to be fixed, and Jack sent his guys and did the repair for free. I talked to another flooring guy who said "it's not physically possible - you need to rip out the whole area and re-do it." However, one of Jack's main guys did it in an hour. There's a lot of flooring companies out there, but I would recommend you give them a shot! They do other stuff as well (carpeting, tiles), but I have not yet used them for it.
