Altra Torin 6 shoes for my Orangetheory workouts
    Andy L.

My Orangetheory coach Vinh recommended this store when I asked about good shoes to wear during my workouts. Running Revolution owner Chris measured my feet and recommended Altra Torin 6 shoes which are very flat and stable, ideal characteristics for a high intensity workout with lots of lateral movement. I was also looking for a comfortable all day walking shoe for a work conference and Chris recommended the "most popular selling shoe in the country" -- Brooks Ghost. Both shoes turned out fantastic -- the Altra Torin 6 are a vast improvement in feel during my workouts than my previous running shoes which had a curved arch. And I can wear the Brooks Ghost all day without my feet hurting. Grateful for Chris's expertise and experience and I will return to The Running Revolution when I need new shoes.

Right when you walk in, they had a big section of 49er apparel and accessories. I really loved the selection of hats they had. I was hoping they would have more offerings of women's apparel, but the selection they had was small. There was a 49er top with red sequence all over it. It was beautiful but they only had two of them and neither were my size. The price for the top was $75, which I thought was a bit expensive. I decided on two 49er hats for myself and my husband. I headed to the checkout and was immediately helped. I asked to young lady at the checkout if they had more offerings for the 49er gear. She directed me to the back of the store where she said there were more items. I paid for my hats and then went to the back of the store where she suggested. There was a section there, as she claimed, but it was all football jerseys priced at $130 and above. I was happy with the purchase of the hats and left the store. It might be better to check online first before going to the store to find 49er gear for women.

They do cash trade-ins day-of-sale unlike most gun shops in the area that only do consignment. They take the time to properly appraise what you bring in, make sure it's legal for sale in California and make sure all the required paperwork is filled out properly. Their prices are generally fair market value from what I've seen considering it's a cash-day-of trade-in. You'll be waiting for maybe an hour at most here to get paid for selling your stuff instead of the weeks that you would with a consignment sale or what passes for a private-party transaction in CA. Could you potentially get more selling privately or putting your stuff on consignment and waiting for it to move instead? Maybe, but their way of doing things avoids a lot of the multiple trips and waiting time that comes with doing either of those other two options instead in California. I would definitely recommend coming here if you have guns you need to sell urgently or if you would just rather not deal with selling on consignment or arranging a private-party sale yourself.

I used to enjoy shopping at Bass Pro Shops, but my experience with the Bluegreen Vacations…read morerepresentatives inside the store has completely changed my opinion. They approached me and pressured me into listening to their sales pitch, and it felt like "no" was never an acceptable answer. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and extremely pushy. After signing up, I did more research and realized it wasn't a good investment for me, so I canceled months ago. Unfortunately, the unwanted contact hasn't stopped. I continue to receive spam calls, and when I tell them I'm not interested, they often end the call abruptly only to call again a few days later. It's become incredibly frustrating. Bass Pro Shops should reconsider allowing this kind of aggressive sales tactic inside their stores. Customers come to shop, not to feel pressured into vacation ownership presentations or deal with persistent calls long after they've declined. Because of this experience, I no longer plan to shop at Bass Pro Shops. It's disappointing that one partnership has negatively affected what used to be an enjoyable place to visit.

So I had the guy just get me the boots I picked with Gemini in two sizes. Then I had to get him to help me decide which of the two sizes to pick and he seemed reluctant to help. I was also going to get hiking socks from them but decided to get those online because my generosity in buying from them just extends so far.

Posting this as a cautionary tale for anyone buying shoes at Dick's Sporting Goods - Sunnyvale…read more This would have been a one star rating if not for Xavier in Footwear. Excellent service and attitude. I bought a pair of On Cloud shoes and within 5 days realized they were too big. The issue only showed up in real-world use: when walking downhill my foot slid forward into the toe box. That's not something you reliably catch by taking a few steps indoors. I went back to do a simple exchange (not a refund). The shoes were clean and in excellent condition. The only visible difference was very slight yellowing on the outsole contact pads -- noticeable under their bright store lighting but not dirty, or damaged. At first I was told the exchange would be fine. After further inspection, they reversed course and said the shoes were not "resaleable" due to wear. I spoke with multiple people (each initially identifying themselves as "the manager" before clarifying their role), and after a lot of back and forth the best options offered were: * 15% off a replacement pair, or * $60 store credit as a "no receipt return" value (they said this reflects the lowest recent selling price and excludes clearance). I ultimately took the $60 credit because my time is worth something and I needed the correct size. But the key takeaway is this: If you buy shoes here, assume you cannot test them outdoors -- even briefly -- without risking being denied an exchange. The 90-day return policy sounds generous, but in practice footwear appears to need to look completely unworn to qualify. I'm sharing this so others don't make the same assumption I did.
