In order to track the shipping I had to install the "Shop" app on my phone, it's incredibly intrusive & simply does not give accurate info. I purchased a team swimsuit for my daughter on June 17 for a total of $52 dollars. It was shipped within a week. On June 24th I emailed them to let them know I had not received my swimsuit, and that the tracking number showed that it was delivered to the incorrect city/ address. They replied, and told me they sent me the incorrect tracking number. Two days later on June 26th I finally received the swimsuit, but it was the wrong style and two sizes too small. So I emailed them again, and requested they send a return label for the swimsuit they incorrectly sent, and requested that they send the correct style, but asked they send it two sizes larger this time. They did not reply to this email, but sent the suit in the right style, but with the original smaller size that I had emailed them was too small. Again, I emailed them requesting a return label for the other swimsuit, and the larger size suit. Since then, I have sent several more emails and have not received a response. I now have two swimsuits that don't fit my daughter, and I am out $52. I have tried calling but no one ever picks up and their voicemail is full. If your ordering from this store, make sure you know the exact size, because there are NO RETURNS or EXCHANGES despite what their website claims. read more

Illusions has been my go to place for workout swimwear since I first learned about them in 2007. They have comfortable one and two piece suits with a large amount of patterns to choose from. My favorite type of suit is their two piece Natalie workout suit! What's even better is that you can come into their store to look through their older patterned suits and find them at a discounted price (sometimes as low as $5 per piece). That's usually what I do, but you can also mix and match their different suits types and patterns on their website to customize a complete swimsuit to your liking. And yes, their suits last a long time, even after swimming on a regular basis. Fun looking workout suits, at a good price, with the quality to measure up to their competitors. I got a premade and custom made dance audition outfit from here. I love the quality and the owners are super nice! My only complaint is that I bought Large sized shorts, and custom made a Medium top. ( and called that day to double confirm my order, because the sizes were different and I was worried I didn't clarify that enough) When I received the order, I realized that the top was a Large instead of a medium. This isn't that big of a deal, because the Large fits just fine! If it didn't, I would have called to complain and I am sure they would have resolved the issue for me! They have great customer service! I would just recommend double checking your order after you receive it, to make sure it is the correct size. I would recommend this LOCALLY owned store ( support local businesses y'all! ) to any of my friends! read more

I have been coming here for years and years for my swim workout suits. The material and designs are SO much fun! And compared with other brands (speedo, nike), they are a great price. Last time I was here they had polyester suits for the first time, which I was extremely excited about. I bought one and it is still going strong even after 4 months of wearing it almost everyday. The lyrcra suits don't last quite as long, but that's to be expected, and my illusions suits always lasted just as long or longer than my other ones. They always provide wonderful service to top it all off. If you are a swimmer in the South Bay you HAVE to check this place out!! read more

AMERICAN made quality products!! Today was my first time in the store and I am definitely impressed. I purchased two workout pants at a great price. Less expensive than Lulu, Nord, Nike Outlet, etc. There is something spectacular about hearing the sewing machines working away upstairs while you are trying on clothes downstairs. It is very difficult to find American made products and the craftsmanship at Illusions looks great. I will be back to purchase more items. Next time I will check out the swimsuits. read more

The main theme here is SUPER! Super nice! Super Patient! Super Helpful! I got a uniform done here from my work, and they listened to all my needs/worries and truly made the uniform fit me perfectly. They even let me come back when I felt a part of my uniform was too big, and fixed it in a couple days without question or fees! I wish all retail stores produced the same quality of customer service, and products. read more

Found this little swim wear shop on a referral from a friend who is a long time swimmer. The suits come in cute fits for athletic swimmers. Fun prints and colors too. They let me design a custom suit for an extra $10. I picked a top and a bottom then selected the fabric for the suit and trim. It's going to take 4 weeks but I'm so looking forward to my perfect suit! Great customer service :) read more

I was going to gymnastics camp and in need of leotards. Normally they are about $30-$40 each. They had a whole bunch of leotards that were for same that also came with scrunchies. Everything was made in the shop and the total was about 120 dollars because I also bought sunglasses a case and a swim cap. All the girls at my gymnastics camp loved my leotards. I definitely will be coming back. read more

My daughter has been going to this wonderful business pretty much since its inception in 1995. They have fashion forward prints for their leotards and swim suits and produce other items for the public such as dance costumes for groups and almost any athletic stretch costume. They pride themselves on being U.S. made and the prices seem to be much less than the well known brands yet the quality is superb. The new web site is a dramatic improvement and the management are fun to work with. They are a little off the beaten path near the park on Campbell Avenue near the Pruneyard. I'm posting this review before receiving my order because I am new to Illusions Activewear but have already had a fantastic experience with the company! I placed an order for a couple of items and was contacted by an employee (not sure if I should mention her name) who notified me that my order was placed just hours before a 50% off sale went into effect. Since she noticed I was a new customer and hadn't yet been set up to receive sale announcements, they canceled my order for the full priced items and then placed the order again, but at the reduced prices. With that kind of customer service, I can't wait to receive my order as I'm sure I'll be thrilled! read more

Very very poor customer service ! I went to buy a 2 pieces swimsuit, they gave me the 32 and 34 size , I thought the top was too thight and tried the 36. I asked the woman what she was thinking , i thought she had the habit to give advice to her customer...she told me the 34 was better. Well I bought this one and it ended to be too thight it was almost painful when i was swimming. I went back the day after to change it for the 36 and they didn t want to change it, the only possibility was to buy a new top!!!!!!! read more

What a great find! After admiring Coach Susie's amazing lap swimming bikinis for a few seasons, I finally checked this place out. Kind of a challenge getting into the store as they are only open M-F until 5, but worth it. The ladies working there were helpful and really nice. Well made, thoughtfully styled suits for form and function. 3 different styles give you a choice from full coverage to showing a little skin. Botttoms include a draw string and the tops have a bottom band to insure they stay put. They also make one piece suits and do custom work. Lots of different patterns/colors playfully paired together. Gone are the days of lap swimming in a boring, ugly NIKE bikini. I only wish Courtside's pro shop would carry this line!!! read more
