These cabins and resort are perfect for quiet getaway from the cities hustle and bustle. Pure Heaven. Loved the people, the ease to walk out of cabin straight to beach, starry nights and the smell of the huge cedars. The sunsets are amazing, the birds are beauty singing every morning. I will be back every year. In fact sooner than a year if I can find vacancy. The staff was wonderful. We accidently left somethings and were contacted immediately to pick them up. Thank goodness we were still on the island. Thanks Beach Haven for the rest.

The soaking tub was amazing! I made a point to take a soak before we left as the tub was much larger than the one we have at home, it's extra wide which is great for two people showering at the same time. The location to town can't be beat! We loved being able to walk outside and we were right on the beach, and there were coffee shops and even a grocery store within walking distance. We had a slight snafu when checking in, the keys weren't in the Dropbox and we weren't able to get ahold of the owner right away. A shop owner next store let us in as she knew the code to the building. Small town, it happens. Honestly, we were relieved that someone was there to let is in! We noticed an ant problem while we were there, and this was late March, a bit early for ants. We didn't leave any food out, and we couldn't find a trail where they were coming in from. They seemed to hang out at the dining table, but nowhere else. We think the restaurant next door may have been the reason for the ants. The bed wasn't very comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a futon but it was a Queen sized bed. The kitchen was functional but very small. We found it more than adequate for a one or two night stay if making food at home. Any longer, you may need more space. Overall, we would recommend it for a weekend stay for a couple. The resort has been steadily going down hill for years now. The road on the beach has eroded so badly that it seems it will just slip into the sea. Maintenance is just not happening and complaints are blatantly ignored. This once was a wonderful place to stay but sadly it is absolutely not worth the money anymore.

I had high expectations for Rosario resort. It had always been touted as a high end resort. When I…read morepaid $2,000 for three nights in a single room with two beds, I expected to be awed. But I was profoundly disappointed as we drove up and saw the property. The grounds were not beautifully landscaped as I expected. It was dry and barren. The layout was spread out with no clear connection and no central point of activity. The loss of the "mansion" is a huge disappointment. That has always been the centerpiece of the resort and has always been front and center in the marketing materials and represented an elegant and luxurious experience. That iconic structure is no longer part of the resort. The check-in process was completely impersonal. When we did find the "office" it was in a squat brown nondescript building. There was no personal interaction. We were not welcomed or offered assistance. We picked up a poor-quality, black-and-white photocopy of a map of the resort so we could find our building. Next to the office was a large, run down industrial building that looked like a former fish processing plant. A blight on the property. The building that housed our room was dated. The hallway was shabby. The ice machine was making a death rattle. The decks and walkways needed power washing, and there was debris from the trees littering the walkways and stairs. Just a daily sweeping would do wonders. Our room was nice but way overpriced. That's really the issue here...I expected an exceptional experience for that rate. This is no longer a resort. We had just returned from three nights at Roche Harbor Resort on San Juan Island. A fantastic experience for far less expense.

We stated that in our reservation and were given a half hearted "happy anniversary" after being seated in the middle of the dining room, without any view. Several couples after us were seated with views to the water. It was our first time there and we didn't know to ask... In any case, we loved the food when we finally got it - but it took over an hour and a half after ordering to receive our meal. The waitress, Countnee (name on receipt), couldn't have been less interested in serving us. I guess she never got over the bell incident??? She seemed overly nice to others... even comping a bottle of wine for the couple next to us. We didn't even get the short spiel about how the strawberries in the sorbet were grown in their garden.... she told other people, we heard her- but she couldn't be bothered to take the time with us. We spent a lot of money on what could have been an amazing celebratory dinner for our anniversary had the service been even a little better. Get over yourself and have a little fun. The hostess was wearing jeans, this shouldn't have had such a pretentious, snooty vibe. We had friends recommend dinner here and we were disappointed, will never be back. It's the next morning and I'm still wishing we had gone somewhere else. It was our 20th anniversary after all!!!

They had a cot for each of our dogs to sleep in, treats, poop bags, and a coupon for the neighborhood pet shop. I think it says a lot about a place when they welcome dogs with such open arms. Outlook Inn is also situated near the downtown area and is walking distance from some nice shops and restaurants. This doesn't count towards this rating but Orcas island was beautiful. I highly recommend you visit and stay at Outlook Inn, especially if you have a dog.

The hot springs are my favorite part and the main reason I came back. My friends and I booked a private soak ($150 for 1.5 hours), which was well worth it. If you stay overnight, you can also do a group soak for $20. The hot springs are clothing optional, and during the group soak most people were nude. It was a bit crowded, but still fun and a memorable experience -- especially if you're open to something new. The room itself was a little cold, but thankfully it had a wood-fired stove (and one of us actually knew how to use it). Beds were comfy, and the bathrooms are a short walk away since they aren't in the rooms. Overall, such a special place -- I'd definitely come back again.

We didn't even leave the resort in the evenings, just relaxed and enjoyed the amazing scenery and relaxation. The only downside to the location is the fact that it is right across from an airstrip- so you get to see a lot of little planes landing and taking off while you are sitting on that back deck. Well, it wasn't really a downside for us since the friends we were with know a ton about small planes so we enjoyed the coming and going. And, you couldn't hear the noise from inside the condo. The condo itself was nice, adequate, nothing fancy. It was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was reasonably well-stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Mike at the front desk and Bo from the adventure outfitters were helpful and ready to make sure we had a great time. Great for families!
