Just walked out of here from a consultation with Lucy and I'm pretty shocked. I just asked for a touch up and she quoted me for a color correction at $800, not including cut. She quoted me an additional $120 just to trim my layers. I don't have an issue paying for my hair but this is so ridiculous. I have very long and thick hair and only trust very few people to touch my hair. My family friend that cut my hair for years moved out of state so I dreaded the idea of looking for a new person. I decided to book here based on the reviews and pictures. I saw that one particular stylist's name kept coming up in the pictures with girls with long hair. So naturally I decided to book with that stylist based on her experience with long hair. I only needed a cut but because of my work schedule I needed a Saturday morning apt. I called and to book a Saturday with her it was a month long wait.. That's fine, I've waited this long to get a cut, what's one more if I get to do it with someone good? The morning of my appointment my stylist greeted me and let me know she was running behind and asked if I could wait... sure that's fine. then the assistant washed my hair. Shortly after the stylist let me know that she's going to let another girl cut my hair because she "is better at cutting hair." I was already there so I agreed. Then immediately after, my original stylist accepted another woman in her chair for a color appointment. The girl that ended up cutting my hair did an amazing job! The 2 stars is not for her. She did 5 stars. However, I felt totally undervalued. Having booked one month in advanced, only to be left waiting, then transferred over to someone else. I feel like since a cut is not as costly as a color treatment, my original stylist just wanted to do the most expensive service. It left a super sour taste in my mouth and won't be going back. My cut is not a difficult cut and it was waaaayyyy too expensive ($120) to be left feeling like that. I know other clients were probabbly regulars, but you won't gain any new regulars if you treat your first-timers like that. read more

For those arriving a little early they asked them to wait outside momentarily on benches they provided. Everyone wore masks, customers are required to wear masks. I've gone to Lucy for two years now and she's the BEST. She always starts me off with a good wash and scalp massage that is so relaxing. I usually get layers and a trim this time I mentioned I loved the framed curtain bangs and she added that in. Long overdue review for Lucy but I just wanted to say she is amazing. I came across The Salon just browsing through and honestly was very pleasantly surprised. I thought I would go in, get my hair done, and get out. Definitely got the star treatment with her and felt like the entire world was revolving around me. She took such good care of me and my hair, which a previous colorist had done some damage to. The time, care, and effort Lucy put into my hair was well worth it. I've never had so many compliments on the color! Even two months later, my color is still vibrant and doesn't feel "dead". Aside from service, Lucy is a super amazing human. She kept the conversation going for the entire appointment and just has this warm energy surrounding her. She made me feel very safe and comfortable. I entered the salon with high expectations but unfortunately left with a sense of dissatisfaction. My intention was to receive a haircut with front face framing layers. However, after over an hour, all I received was a bang trim and a few inches off the length. When the stylist asked if I liked the cut, I didn't have the time to have her add the layers as I was on my lunch break and had to return to work for a meeting. This experience has left me genuinely disappointed because I had shown her a picture of the desired style but ended up with a very basic haircut, for which I was charged $70. My go to stylist/colorist, Minnie, recently left, but this salon has many wonderful and highly skilled and professional stylists. I highly recommend Taylor and/or Amy for color, roots, highlights, etc. My mom and I have always been very happy with our hair every time we leave the salon. They are all super friendly, helpful, and talented and great at what they do. Amy, who I currently go to, has done an amazing job with my highlights, and she was able to get the ashy tone that I always wanted. Hair Hello I was super nervous in choosing what salon to come into , I called and luckily my call was answered walked in the same day although you do have to ask if they are available for walk ins , once i walked in though i was greeted by receptionist she was super nice to me . The ultimate salon experience. First they really talk and discuss what your vision for your hair. As a new mom I wanted to have a lil change, something light for the summer but also not too high of a maintenance or that might damage my hair. My stylist Mia was so thorough and transparent. I showed her photos and she discussed with me what will be best with my hair. I appreciate that they quote you the price from the beginning. So there's no surprises upon check out (which I've experienced in many other salons). I got a balayage which took about 4 hours just because my hair was a lil stubborn. Unfortunately my hair didn't turn out the way I wanted or pictured it to be just coz my hair rejected the dye but I was still satisfied with my experience.
