Recently went to a belated Graduation Party held at the Recreation Center. First there are two rsc centers, 1 and 2. We drove into the parking lot of rec 1,oops wrong one. rove across the street to rsc 2. I didn't notice any signage indicating which is which. The interior of the rec hall is spacious and the air-conditioning work well. Parking can be troublesome if you have a large group. You do need a sponsor to use this facility. Enjoy read more

A great party area for all types of events! Been here for birthday parties, retirement parties, & baby showers. Not sure why they no longer allow being able to serve alcohol, but it's no biggie. The rec 2 was a great add on making it another convenience for the area. Can't wait to see what else they have next in store. read more

Great venue to rent out for ALL your parties. Clean, organized, lots of ammenities included such as bathrooms, AC, entertainment stage. Docked a star because the entrance to their main space is hard to find. Parking lot is huge but the entrance is next to the public park's parking lot (keep in mind that one gets locked up at a certain hour). Park where youre supposed to and find the entrance, then youre good! read more

There's several of us vendors who were very appalled by the person who was in charge attitude upon our arrival on June 10, 2023 We were greeted with a person yelling at us, instead of kindly asking us to not enter the Kapolei Rec II hall. until the sponsors arrived. Her attitude and personality outlook is not conducive as to carrying the spirit of Aloha as well as representing Kapolei Rec Centers. We even witnessed her unprofessional attitude towards the sponsors/community members, who humbled themselves. To make matters worst at the end of the program event, another person in charge requested that the sponsors/community members go home and bring their household vacuum cleaner to clean the hall's carpet. I don't believe is a requirement, but again they humbled themselves and went ahead to. Hopefully this type of unprofessional attitude will be corrected as soon as possible. Great venue for parties, celebrations and believe it or not, a wedding reception. We got invited to attend a wedding here. Lovely venue. Very spacious! A nice space close to my cousins house which is why I'm guessing they chose this location. The pool looks like absolute fun. Although I'm guessing you have to be a Kapolei resident to utilize the pool. There was plenty of parking and street parking available if need be. It's a nice neighborhood nearby. We'll definitely keep this place in mind when planning my baby girls first luau. read more

Recreation center is very nice and the staff here is very accommodating. They let the entertainers in through the back door to avoid eye contact setup mode with the guest. Lots of parking for everyone. Great for 1st Birthdays, Graduations, or any event. Facility itself is clean and very well maintained. Theres a community pool with lifeguards on duty. Tonight, we had a 1st Birthday celebration with lots of entertainment. Djing, Magic Show, Dancers, balloonist, photo booth and more. The only draw back is that they only allow you to setup 1 hour prior to the start of your event. read more

Growing up in Kapolei, this has always been a familiar place to me. Almost everyday of my childhood was spent here or somewhere around here. We used the pool A LOT. We'd attend parties here quite often as well. There's lots of parking, 2 lots pretty much. Also street parking if needed. There's a large park nearby for sports. A play ground, basketball courts, and a little fitness area. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. The banquet area is huge and I believe you're able to split the room. I remember there being a partition that goes right across the room. Only thing is that there's a stage on one side of the room and a kitchen area on the other side of the room. So if that option is still available, no idea how it works. I also don't really know if pool usage for party goers are an option. Normally a pool card is needed to use the pool... So along with the huge banquet area there's also a pretty spacious hall that could be used for party games, food line up, photo booth, etc... in recent years my cousin has hosted his fair share of parties at this rec center. Graduation, Wedding party , and now 2 baby parties! Wow, he's getting old lol (but then again, that means so am I!) Every single party he's hosted has had very awesome performers play. And let me tell you, they seriously blow the roof off this place! So it's a good thing it's not too close to the residents. We've never had any problems just letting loose and partying it up here. For the Kapolei community, there are quite a bit of activities that go on at this rec center. I remember bringing my kids for Easter hunts, Halloween contests, community play dates and others. I also remember seeing posts of senior activities. I believe the pool offers swimming lessons too. There's your normal swimming pool with lanes for laps, a kids pool, and attached to that is a smaller kiddie pool (lifeguards always on duty). At the entryway of the pool there are vending machines for sodas and snacks. Come in handy for the school kids in the area. Anytime I've had to deal with staff, they're always pretty helpful. All in all, I always have enjoyed my times spent in or around the Kapolei rec center. Although we don't live in the Kapolei area anymore, I'll still hang around there from time to time. Its like second nature for me to gravitate toward my hometown. And of course I'm sure enough sooner or later a family member is bound to have more parties to host here. read more

Pool is nice and big. I feel safe taking my kids here because they have lifeguards on duty. They do interrupt swimming time every other few hours so they can clean up the pool and for their breaks. Spacious bathrooms for everyone to rinse off before and after their swims. Free admission to ID holders and they can bring up to 5 other guests. Like many other facilities, this one also does not allow inflatable floaters but they have very few vests/jacket that fitted my toddler when we took her for a swim. Its one of those things that are already granted to us but we dont take advantage of it so often, thats how it is for us when it comes to the rec center. read more

This is my first time inside the actual recreational activities room. I came here for a birthday party. The venue space looks as if you could fit about 500 (depending on how you do your set up). The batteries are very clean and there is a kitchen inside if you need to use it. The entrance and exit is very accessible to the park so if you have little kids that want to go and play it's very near. The ventilation system is also very nice seeing you don't have a hot day if you maximize the ceiling fans and central air. read more

Very nice lap pool. Pool very clean. I only went there to swim because I was visiting the area for work. Employees were nice and welcoming. It cost me $16 just to swim for 30 minutes, but that price was for use of the whole facility for the day (I think). Maybe a smaller fee for just the lap pool would be nice, but it is Hawaii, right? This is the review for the pool facility and not the rec. As a whole. I can here on admissions day 08-21-2015.... it was such a hot day so me and my friends decided not to drive that far to go beach because parking would be a pain and it be crowded. We arrived at about 1:30 & it was crowded but there was still ample parking. The pool has 3 sections the infant pool, kiddie pool deck adult area is what or how I will name it. With a lot of kids there were three life guards on duty to monitor everyone in the pool grounds. There is limited seating so get there as early as you can since they open right at 12:00 noon... one good thing is your allowed to bring food in the pool area so you can swim and have a snack there is also a men and women restroom complete with showers that provide both hot & cold water. There is also showers outside used for rinse before entering the pool. The pool is clean aside from leaves that get into the water but that's okay at least it's not dirty. Although it's for. Village members only with a valid vok... card ( $5.00 for a year) the pool is a great way to do laps for workouts. Teaching kids how to swim or just going to take a dip or tan... I'll be coming back since the weather is so hot. read more

I've been here many times for parties. Good size venue which also has a stage which is perfect for entertainment. A huge plus is that the rec center has ac and ceiling fans. That really helped a lot especially with this summer heat! read more

I WILL NEVER BOOK HERE AGAIN! If i could give zero stars I would! Terrible place for a party. For evening parties, the earliest they allow you in is 5pm and on the weekend mornings the earliest is 10am. We had a party at 11am and we had an hour to set up. We went there to check it out one Friday evening at 5 and a family setting up had their party at 5 and the Rec didn't let them in or inform them that they could go in until 5! They had no time to set up! They also have too much regulations. We've had a party there before and they told us we couldn't nail anything into the wall, which is fine. So in turn we purchased command strips(those easy to remove hooks) and the rec worker told us we couldn't use them. How are we supposed to hang stuff(ex. Backdrops) if we can't use anything sticky on the walls? One hour is not enough to set up and there is too much unnecessary regulations! If I were you I'd look for somewhere else!!! read more

The Kapolei Recreation Center is a great venue to hold just about any family kine or community event especially if your target audience all live in the Leeward/West side of Oahu. I haven't really booked this venue myself for a party but I have performed here for parties many times. Getting here isn't too bad but you might have to map it out if you are unfamiliar. The venue itself is a really good and decent size for your guests. There's a decent sized stage for all your program and entertainment stuff. There is a decent amount of table and seating areas. There's an area where you can set up food and I would suggest catering unless you get choke family and you can cook all day kine. I think security here is pretty good because everytime I go to a party here there's always a cop in the front or something so that's pretty cool. Overall, it's a really great venue especially for birthdays and graduations. I believe it is also connected to other surrounding resources and facilities but I haven't really gotten to check it out that further whenever I am there. read more
