My daughter is only three years old. She did not hit the child or do anything to him, but for some reason, the mother became offended and approached my wife. On top of that, my wife is pregnant, and this woman threatened her, saying that something was going to happen to her if she did not control her daughter, and that because she was pregnant, something could happen to her as well. My wife felt unsafe and immediately went to the owner to explain what had happened. The owner basically said that he could not do anything. How can someone go to a children's establishment, be threatened by another customer, report it to the owner, and be told that nothing can be done? My wife was threatened with comments suggesting that something could happen to her and her pregnancy, and the owner did absolutely nothing about it. I do not recommend this place to anyone, especially families with young children.

Also, you must wear water shoes while wading in. There are rocks and sharp shells that make walking with bare feet treacherous. There are amenities: bathrooms, outdoor showers to rinse off under, water fountains and a doggie drinking bowl. At the far end there is a playground and a place where you can rent a rack to store a canoe or kayak. Parking is nearby and plentiful but you must be a resident to get a season parking permit. (in 2026 the cost is $15). They are available for purchase by credit card on site. Non-resident parking is prohibitive: $50! However, you can visit the beach at no charge if you walk there or get someone to drop you off.

Parking is abundant and adjacent to the playground. Benches and shaded areas align the playground with a covered pavilion within walking distance. Parents of toddlers need to watch as some of the older kids/tweens were climbing all over the smaller play structures. Not the fault of the town but not appreciated.

Lots of people use the pavilion and grounds for various types of events. I have been there on various occasions for events both large and small. Permission is needed from the Park and Rec department for any group activity so there aren't any conflicts. However, we have run into some of the sports team parents and/or coaches get upset when others want to use it. The skate park mentioned in previous posts got closed down because of equipment failure, kids treating it too harshly and the Parks and recreation department not maintaining it like they should. It also ended up causing issues for neighbors who lived next to it, so it was best to remove it. The swimming area has been shut down for years because of invasive vegetation in the water that was hard to control and deal with. The kids playground was recently redone with money raised by individuals. It was a pricey one for what they got. Not long after it was completed, they had to repair parts of it because of weight and age limits. A good playground should be sturdy. From what I see of it, I see it breaking down again. It doesn't look like it will withstand the winter elements. Despite the few negatives, it is a nice park.

During that visit, the staff were accommodating and allowed our students to remain in their own shoes. So when we returned, we reasonably expected the same level of understanding and accommodation. Instead, we were flat-out refused. Even more frustratingly, when we explained that the staff had accommodated our students during our previous visit, we were essentially told that it didn't matter. Apparently, basic consistency and consideration are too much to ask. But that wasn't even the worst part. When we arrived, the kitchen was closed. One of our students had intentionally skipped lunch at school because he was excited about getting something to eat at the bowling alley. Rather than let him go hungry, we ordered him Burger King through DoorDash. When the food arrived, the staff had the audacity to DEMAND that our special needs student eat his food OUTSIDE. Let that sink in. A child with special needs, who was there on a school outing, was told that he couldn't eat his own food inside. Meanwhile, just a few lanes away, another group was openly eating cake they had apparently brought with them. They appeared to know the staff and were chatting with them comfortably. So apparently the rules depend on who you are. Friends of the staff can bring food in and eat it inside, but a special needs student who needs something to eat because your own kitchen is closed has to take his meal outside? That is beyond disappointing. It is humiliating, insensitive, and completely unacceptable. We brought students there expecting a fun and inclusive experience. Instead, we left feeling like our students were being treated as an inconvenience simply for needing a little understanding and accommodation. If this is how you treat children with special needs, especially children who are there as part of a school outing, you should seriously reconsider how you train your staff and how you treat your customers. Absolutely shameful. I would strongly encourage other schools and families of children with special needs to think twice before choosing this establishment

Set-up some volley ball, frisbee can, corn hole, and few people fished along the shore. Looks like they also have a beach and place to launch kayaks. Our picnic was in mid-September, since those activities looked like they were done for the season, we'll have to wait until next year, if we go a bit earlier.

There was very little to no supervision in this place. These were 7&8 year olds. This shouldn't have been a thing. The facility itself has a lot of activities to do. I question the cleanliness of the facility because all the colors are fading a dingy. With all the kids that flow through this place, it should be getting sanitized with bleach DAILY. There wasn't even the slightest smell of bleach anywhere. The party service was minimal, the workers brought the pizza and water in and left. They supplied the paper plates and napkins also. I've been to other venues such as Extreme Air in Cheshire where the workers hosted the party so the families and friends could focus on their kids and not issuing out the food and drinks but who knows. This place was entirely too expensive for the amount of crap that went on here. I do not endorse this facility in anyway shape or form.
