Dated units, rude owners/managers. You can easily find something much nicer in Lincoln City and surrounding towns.

We were only there one night, but I have to tell you, it was a really nice hotel experience! I reserved the Family (fireplace) suite. The hotel has two floors and this was on floor 2. We had a nice roomy balcony with two chairs for sitting in while soaking in the beauty. The room itself was really large, with a king bed in the main and a queen, I believe, in a separate room. TVs in the main room and the bedroom. The fireplace was gas, gave off nice heat at night as it got chilly outside, and added to the ambiance. This hotel has breakfast! This was also a pleasant experience. They had the usual cereals and yogurts, but also had big waffles and biscuits and gravy! The food was good! We brought a bottle of wine ourselves, but I did notice they sell wine and beer in the lobby, which is nice, right? I definitely would (and will) stay there again the next time we are in the area. I forgot to take pics of the room itself. Sorry about that. You can check out their hotel website to see it. The next time I stay there I will fix this! In the meantime, here are a couple shots from the balcony of our room. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. All in all, a really nice time. Thanks, Coho!

We did not utilize a majority of the amenities at the hotel, including the WiFi, fire pits, pool, or restaurant. Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent. It is far enough from Highway 101 that the traffic is not disruptive, but close enough that amenities and activities in Lincoln City are easily accessible. The view of the beach from our room was excellent, and beach access (via several flights of stairs) was convenient. Our room door was equip with a deadbolt, chain lock, and lock in the doorknob. For the most part, the room was clean and quiet, and the mattress and pillows were comfortable. Parking was convenient. Cons: The furniture in the room was not particularly comfortable. The furnishings were either outdated or lacking. The TV was difficult to use. Hand soap for the bathroom was not made available (but, "facial soap" was). The toilet and the sink in the bathroom both leaked/ran after use. Concerns: Our room was not ready and available to us at check-in time. When arriving to our room, after being asked to wait in the lobby, the room smelled strongly of cleaning solutions. During our inspection of the bed, the linens were obviously fresh and clean, but they were covered in hair (like, the laundry facilities they use for housekeeping aren't totally clean). These experiences dropped my rating from 4 stars to 3.

I went to turn it all the way to hot and it went freezing, and my timbers were shivered. It was so cold. And the guy above us keeps opening and closing the sliding door and walking around the whole room so the ceilings are very thin. I can hear everything that's going on above me right now and it's so annoying because it is currently 1 AM and we've been trying to sleep for about three hours now we still can't because they keep opening and closing their door right above us and I don't think I'll ever be staying here again because kind of sucks

They accommodated my request to help with my stay, and the person at the front desk even remembered me when I checked in! They have a covered parking area which I very much appreciated in the rain. The lobby is clean and has a modern but welcoming vibe. I LOVED my room. I booked the Nautica suite and it was so lovely. The very large jetted tub overlooking the ocean was breathtaking. The room has a mini-fridge and a microwave. They have a great little sink for filling big water bottles, making tea, etc. no trying to fill the coffee pot in the bathroom sink. The room was also impeccably clean. Rooms that aren't fully cleaned can really put me off about a place. Not here. They seem to have high standards for everything they do here-- and everyone they hire. A gentleman who was from housekeeping even walked me to the elevator when I got turned around as I went to check out. He noticed my hands were full and hit the button for the lobby for me. As I was writing this review, I got a phone call. I had forgotten my favorite lunch box in the fridge! I hadn't gotten terribly far, so I still have time to go back. If you're on the fence, book it. One more neat thing: I got a way better rate booking directly with Starfish Manor. It shocked me, but it bears mentioning. I almost always use Expedia, but while I was looking for more room info on booking, I was delighted to find this. I will 100% be back. I recommend this highly. Surprisingly affordable and so well appointed.

One of the reasons I chose this place was because it's pet friendly. When we arrived, Greg gave us little doggie bags that included toys, treats, and poop bags :) There is a small grassy area nearby that makes it handy for a quick potty break if you're lazy like me after 9pm. Greg also told us about a new dog park nearby, so we checked that out, too! They provide a hot breakfast, which wasn't exceptional but wasn't terrible either. We ate breakfast both mornings and survived, lol The room was clean and smelled fresh. I wasn't bothered by any road noise, but I was bothered by what sounded like an army of children stomping on the ceiling. It was probably the same army of kids who interrupted my quiet pool time haha They have a pool, hot tub, and sauna with 10pm-12am being 18 + only, which was lovely. Overall, I would recommend staying at the Inn, and I plan on returning in the near future.

The adjustments they have had to make over the years were justified and acceptable due to changes in ownership, maintenance upkeep and of course the aftermath COVID restrictions. Positives: The front desk staff is very accommodating, the cleaning crew is helpful and the breakfast ladies worked really hard to keep things clean and stocked. I don't normally use the pool area, but my teenage niece does. She and her friend spent several hours at the pool, so it must have been acceptable for them. The lobby has a very cozy seating area with a fireplace. I also love that they have a little market stocked with food, sweets, beverages and trinkets. They also have an ample selection of DVD's (Tip: read the directions on the inside of the DVD cover for instructions on how to switch TV input) Location is great and right on hwy 101, which is convenient for shopping and all other activities except its proximity to the beach. You would have to drive to an access point for beach time. Downside: Two things have prompted me to make this post. The quality of the complementary breakfast. It has greatly diminished over the years and I don't think it would cost much more to add back a couple options that they used to have It does have biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links, which is the usual "meh" buffet style choices, but it's the same selection every morning. There are muffins, which were available one morning, but not the next. There's coffee, juice, fruit cups, oatmeal packets, cold cereal and milk. It's really more of a continental breakfast now than a full blown hot breakfast. They have toasters, but nothing to put in the toaster. No more bagels & cream cheese, yogurt or hard boiled eggs. They used to have a waffle maker, but that went away several years ago. The other issue was the noise coming from outside of our room. Our room was on the second floor. Double queen, comfortable and clean, with the usual wear and tear that comes with staying at a well used hotel. The problem is that the noise from the third floor was alarming. I don't blame children for being super excited to having free access to a swimming pool, but the hotel needs to put families with small children on the ground floor or in rooms closer to the elevator. It sounded like the kids would fall right through the ceiling as they pounded up and down the third floor hallway with joy. We will most likely stay here again next year, but be more prepared. Like asking for a third floor room and bringing something to put in the toaster to go along with our breakfast. Easy and doable adjustments for us to make, I just thought it might be helpful to inform others if you are considering this hotel for your next visit.

We were disappointed that there wasn't a microwave or a mini fridge in our suite, unfortunately we had to survive on eating snacks or eating out any time we got hungry instead of warming something up in the microwave like leftovers or popcorn. My fiance and I went down to the beach, and that's when he proposed! It was so special, but on our way back he tumbled on some rocks and ended up splitting his head open- we rushed back to the motel to the front office and the male owner was at the desk (can't remember his name) we had asked if we could use some super glue to help my fiancé's head- because we felt it wasn't enough to spend our day at the ER, just a quick super glue fix would do the trick. The owner gladly grabbed some for us and seemed every caring and we all kind of chuckled about the whole situation- my fiance was fine, it was the tiniest nick, not gushing blood. He got patched up and we went about our stay, and he healed up pretty much the next day. We loved the room, and the tub. Very old school, cabin vibes. Will definitely return!
